- inactive, on 07/19/2008, -85/+732***** fanboys probably haven't even seen a movie made before 2000.
- dantidote, on 07/20/2008, -17/+545I bought handicap seats accidentally at our imax. We didn't have wheelchairs, so we stood for 2.5 hours.
- crimson117, on 07/20/2008, -54/+499Looks like a Ron Poll to me.
- boshdmg, on 07/19/2008, -19/+403Its normal, when a film first comes out all the super fans get carried away and distort the vote, I think IMDB need to tweek its algorithm to lessen the early fanboy effect.
- JoeDiggsIt, on 07/20/2008, -2/+293How do you accidentally buy handicap seats?
- LastAXEL, on 07/20/2008, -15/+305How 'bout a magic trick?

Joker's acting was phenomenally great. - Jhiaxuz, on 07/20/2008, -14/+194Yeah like c'mon, Pulp Fiction? Who wants to see a movie about fictitious oranges.
//sarcasm - hartley, on 07/20/2008, -6/+181Clearly the IMDB algorithm is based on digg's.
- 3amboo, on 07/20/2008, -18/+182Do you know how I got these scars?

*patiently waits to be buried* - PrismoFillusion, on 07/20/2008, -3/+101IMDB movie scores *always* go down over time. The people most excited about the movie see it first, and review it first with the best scores. Then the second round of viewers who are less excited about it, but just see it in theaters because of all the hype see it, and review it the second best. Then when the DVD comes out a third round of people see it, who don't even like the type of movie, but figure "eh, why not?"; and they review it the worst.
Watch and see. - bigmac375, on 07/20/2008, -7/+96Evening, Commissioner...
- someguy92, on 07/20/2008, -9/+98See, to them, you're just a freak. Like me!
- Loxias, on 07/20/2008, -1/+86I believe the majority of America didn't vote.
- Snoosy, on 07/20/2008, -28/+107I'm seeing it tomorrow, but I find it hard to believe it's better than Shawshank.
- ChairShot83, on 07/20/2008, -20/+99No, no. I killed the bus driver...
- ceredron, on 07/20/2008, -26/+101So? I enjoyed the movie thouroughly, and I don't see why it shouldn't have received around 9's. Sure, there are some people overrating it, but does nothing deserve a 10? I thought the movie was excellent. Gave it a 9 myself.
- moush, on 07/20/2008, -32/+97Look at the vote number moron.
- Farmer77, on 07/20/2008, -4/+65I wish I can digg you twice.

A lot can happen when more roll around. - punjab551, on 07/20/2008, -5/+54I remember 300 was in the top 100 for a long time before everyone over their mid 20's saw it.
- jkleinfeld, on 07/20/2008, -8/+57I know this is a joke... no 2001: A Space Odyssey??

- punjab551, on 07/20/2008, -2/+45mhmmm, this is a tasty orange!
- jellydoughnut21, on 07/20/2008, -14/+54Personally i find it kind of annoying that so many people on the internet are going so balls to the wall over this movie. I LOVED the movie, it was perfect, and everything I hoped for, I'm as big a fan as any, but it's getting ridiculous. The movie has turned the internet into one big movie fanboy, I haven't even been able to visit digg for the past 2 weeks without seeing 1 or 2 TDK stories on the front page. I wish everyone would stop the ridiculousness before TDK turns into one of the most overrated media events in history. It was great, yes, but it's no Godfather or Shawshank Redemption. There is a huge difference between an amazing summer blockbuster/comic book movie, and an oscar worthy movie, but it's a difference 15 year old kids wetting their pants over TDK don't see.
- bagelmaster, on 07/20/2008, -4/+42I believe in Harvey Dent!
- MOJIRA, on 07/20/2008, -3/+40The following day Bruce Wayne wakes up with half the Bat-Pod in his bed.
- 3amboo, on 07/20/2008, -2/+39I can make this pencil disappear...
- ArtGuy2k6, on 07/20/2008, -3/+39I just want my phone call...
- jellydoughnut21, on 07/20/2008, -17/+53TDK fanboys are ruining the movie for me, it's irritating
- finista, on 07/20/2008, -0/+34It insists upon itself.
- BowieX, on 07/20/2008, -10/+44I think this movie is better than Shawshank because all the themes aren't spoonfed to us through Freeman's narration; plus, I think the themes are more important and profound than Shawshank's anyway.
Also, the pay-off ending (not really a spoiler: where Batman returns Dent's favor) I think is more rewarding and much more clever, than TSR's schmaltz, as much as I thoroughly enjoyed that film.
Meanwhile, I'm finding it really hard to find any legitimate discussions over the thematic exploration in The Dark Knight. It's brilliant. It delves into the basic principles of society in such a well-conceived way that I'm pretty certain Final Year English students will be studying and writing essays about it for decades to come. Anyone agree? -
