- Homest4r, on 12/17/2007, -2/+125**I AM LEGEND ENDING (SPOILERS)**
Will Smith discovers he is actually NOT the last man on Earth, and moves in with his auntie and uncle in Bel Air - JoeDiggsIt, on 12/17/2007, -5/+101Cue douche bags who spoil the movie.
- Bensign, on 12/17/2007, -13/+103The ending sucked I thought.
- mahsah, on 12/17/2007, -5/+74It was OK, but they completely changed the ending, and now the title makes little sense.
- kris33, on 12/17/2007, -0/+66And piracy is killing the movie industry?
- gametavern, on 12/17/2007, -2/+66I expect some serious ALTERNATE ENDINGS on the Dvd when it comes out.
Otherwise, great movie - WRE3, on 12/17/2007, -2/+57Did anybody notice the Batman logo over the Superman logo? I think it was a fake movie billboard in the Times Square scene. Do you think Warner Bros. is screwing with us? Or do you think it will happen?
- khaosx2030, on 12/17/2007, -5/+56Absolutely nothing like the book.
I suggest everyone to go and read the book.
THAT was amazing. - giangsing7, on 12/17/2007, -0/+38I was saving that bacon!!
- micropizzle, on 12/17/2007, -21/+59It was great.
- olegk, on 12/17/2007, -8/+39The movie was OK at best. It could've been so much better. The whole zombie thing + religious crap in the end completely ruined it.
- nihilite, on 12/17/2007, -0/+30In the end, you find out that he IS tyler durden. totally messes with your head.
- micropizzle, on 12/17/2007, -0/+28I totally agree with you. I also thought the scenes with the expansive abandoned areas were breathtaking while at the same time very chilling.
- DiggsOnlyJew, on 12/17/2007, -0/+21No, it was NOT even close to the book ending, or most of the book storyline. The book ending was actually good.
- grimstar, on 12/17/2007, -0/+15The date on it was 5/15/10. Maybe they were dropping a hint? If so, that is a pretty awesome advertisement.
- MRintheKeys, on 12/17/2007, -2/+17Um...no dude. In the book he is legend to the creatures...and he is literally the last man alive. The movie ruined that whole theme as appearently he wasn't the last man on earth after all.
- joegibes, on 12/17/2007, -3/+18ROSEBUD IS THE SLED
- kev01, on 12/17/2007, -0/+15I love will smith movies but here's my review, i saw it on IMAX opening night:
first 2/3rds of the movie were 5 stars, great acting, great scenic shots, great story build up, edge of the seat jumpy action!
ending 1/3 after the point where he gets randomely saved .... ZERO stars... worst ending ever, too many plot holes, negated everything that was built up in the first 2/3, they shouldn't have changed the ending, this one just made no sense ... left me very dissapointed.
it's too bad, the initial premise of the story and trailers looked too good ... the imax ticket price was better justified with the batman trailer - nihilite, on 12/17/2007, -0/+13i want the 3 hour long director's cut... that movie had some holes in it. felt like they cut alot of it out... things like why he was sprinkling vinegar all over the place, etc.
- johnny222, on 12/17/2007, -16/+30Saw it on opening night, it was awesome. 5/5 from me.
- Clarkbar, on 12/17/2007, -1/+14Having an M4 in an umbrella stand means that this man is ready for anything. Even zombies.
- MRintheKeys, on 12/17/2007, -1/+14I agree. The first 2/3 of the movie I thought was really good. However the last third kind of ruined what the whole theme of the book was suppose to be about.
- generalzod1, on 12/17/2007, -4/+16Signs + Castaway + 28 Days Later = I AM LEGEND
- nihilite, on 12/17/2007, -1/+13I would have loved it if i had not read the book. Still, this got a 4.5/5.
they could have made this movie 8 hours long and it still would have been great. It felt like they cut out alot from the middle of the movie - it just escalated so fast with little explanation.
That said, the book was really not film-able. Too much time of a crazy man getting drunk in his house. I had the same feeling when i watched Fight Club, and now that is in my top 5 favorite movies... - inactive, on 12/17/2007, -5/+17It was okay, I felt like the "spiritual meaning" towards the end of the movie felt really forced.
- DolphinGL, on 12/17/2007, -5/+17The thing that made the book so awesome was the ending.
I know hollywood retards like to put their own spin on everything...but they should have left that alone. Instead, they threw the book ending out, changed the vampires into idiot monsters, and completely destroyed the story that made the book so good.
This movie sucked. - LaGStAr, on 12/17/2007, -2/+13I'm not sure if we were watching the same movie. Definitely wasn't great, it was okay if you don't compare it to the book. If you compare it to the book, it was awful.
The whole time I thought they were working up to the books ending, and then they inserted some ***** ending. - joegibes, on 12/17/2007, -1/+12The ending was nothing like the book. I think the ending was a result of the writer(s) just plain giving up with coming up with original ideas... Without revealing too much, it was a cop-out.
- h4mx0r, on 12/17/2007, -1/+12Absolute agreement. Actors or better CGI would have done the trick.
- nonymous666, on 12/17/2007, -1/+12I agree about the first 2/3'. Really great movie until the final third. About the time "god told me" was spoken, it was down hill from there.
- TenebrousX, on 12/17/2007, -1/+12The book, while good, is totally different from the movie.
- MadOgre, on 12/17/2007, -1/+12Golden Compass sucked, I Am Legend didn't.
- JoeDiggsIt, on 12/17/2007, -0/+10But he's also his own father, who is actually gay for Dumbledore.
- MadOgre, on 12/17/2007, -2/+12It wasn't in the book. It shouldn't have been in the movie.
- zwilliams, on 12/17/2007, -0/+10I truly enjoyed both the original book and this movie. And it has been a long time since I truly enjoyed a movie out of Hollywood.
- c0nrad, on 12/17/2007, -0/+10agreed, it seemed like it should have been longer
- nihilite, on 12/17/2007, -0/+9that movie would be three minutes long... superman would END batman.
oh god. i just sank to the lowest level of nerd-dom. i'm going to go hang myself. - SuperCow1127, on 12/17/2007, -2/+11What in god's name makes you think we give a ***** about your LAN party?
- ubergeek09, on 12/17/2007, -1/+10That would be the best ending ever.
- DiggsOnlyJew, on 12/17/2007, -0/+9Without spoiling it for everyone who doesn't want to know:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Legend - Tophillious, on 12/17/2007, -2/+11The book was incredibly better.
- nonymous666, on 12/17/2007, -0/+8I read they started production using real people and makeup, like in 28 Days Later, etc. But they changed their minds in the middle of production and went with CGI. Too bad. Would have preferred they seemed more human and not so much like outer space aliens.
- MadOgre, on 12/17/2007, -0/+8Because you have no imagination.
- sonicularulus, on 12/17/2007, -1/+8Personally, I think the movie was good. Many say the ending was horrible, but personally, I think the movie, even the ending, was very good. But that's a personal opinion. Cant wait for it to come out on DVD....
- nihilite, on 12/17/2007, -2/+9you're saying that because you don't know what you're talking about. if you read the book, you'd understand the name
- DiggsOnlyJew, on 12/17/2007, -3/+10Will Smith lives.
- CrazedLeper, on 12/17/2007, -0/+7I wouldn't think that $10 ticket is helping matters.
- brad3378, on 12/17/2007, -0/+6Damn it - you got me
- nonymous666, on 12/17/2007, -0/+6I agree with the critics. DIsappointed with the last third of the movie. On the whole, though, great movie.
"God told me". And it was true? Thpthpthpth. - StephenChow, on 12/17/2007, -0/+6Snape kills Trinity with Rosebud
