- quigles3000, on 11/27/2007, -2/+43I may be the only one here, but I'm not trying to focus too much on how the Joker looks or anything like that. Once the movie's out, the only thing that matters is how good it is, not why the Joker appears to be dropping a deuce on a magazine cover, and looking oh-so-sly while he does it.
- revarien, on 11/27/2007, -3/+34It looks good, but Mark Hamil would of made a fantastic Joker... anyone remember '*****-Knocker' from 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'? Not to mention he does the perfect joker voice in the series.
- shane1337, on 11/27/2007, -13/+44eat your heart out jack
- matt0r, on 11/27/2007, -1/+26are you serious?
- markperia, on 11/27/2007, -4/+25Jack's Joker is Joker playing as Jack Nicholson not Jack playing as Joker. Yes what I said makes perfect sense, think about it.
- BoneheadFarker, on 11/27/2007, -2/+20Is it just me, or does it look like Michael Keaton already played a character that looks like that? I half expect there to be a head-shrinker involved now...
- rstarr, on 11/27/2007, -1/+17I hear its Val Kilmer.
- gebsta, on 11/27/2007, -2/+16soo it was heath ledger that haunted my dreams as a child. it all makes sense now!
- mccarron, on 11/27/2007, -0/+13This movie series is unrelated to the series started with Burton earlier. So this Joker is younger, and also nothing at all close to the other Joker played by Jack.
- HyperionHK, on 11/27/2007, -1/+14Heath's Joker and Jack's Joker are supposed to be quite different Jokers, so it's nothing something you can compare easily. Plus Michael Caine has said that Heath is doing an EXCELLENT job play a sick, twirsted, psycho murderer Joker. Who are we to argue with Michael Caine! :)
- zengonzo, on 11/27/2007, -3/+15I loved Jack's Joker in its place, but that's the last thing I would want to see in this movie ..
- Amadeus2490, on 11/27/2007, -17/+29He looks more like a bad cosplay-version of Beetlejuice than The Joker.
"Oh, it's supposed to be completely different than what you're used to!"
Well does that mean it has to be *****? - misterparry, on 11/27/2007, -6/+16wow, would people get over the fact that heath is playing the joker, Jack Nicholson is old, tired and washed up, and the production company knows that, there has been what 4 different actors playing Batman and they got right with Bale, so I think they know what they are doing, so seriously people get over Tim Burton's ***** rendition of Batman, it is not the golden or silver age anymore so quit your bitching'
- cgruber, on 11/27/2007, -0/+9It's like a Marlboro man commercial except they do it.
- Danjak, on 11/27/2007, -2/+11gogo homophobia
- ucbluman, on 11/27/2007, -1/+10this could be the best troll post ever. in the history of the internet.
- physicx, on 11/27/2007, -3/+11awesome.
- terminal157, on 11/27/2007, -0/+8Fact: juggalos are the stupidest people on earth. A juggalo is about as scary as a slow, chubby teenager in makeup. Oh wait.
- awesomeface, on 11/27/2007, -3/+11You guys are missing the worst part. THEY ARE MAKING "THE MUMMY 3". We're doomed. =(
- revenz, on 11/27/2007, -4/+12yeah hopefully heath ledger will do a good joker, compared to jacks pretty crappy joker. he wasn't funny enough and sadistic enough. i want to see a joker beat someone to death with a crowbar with a smile on his face (well near death, then blow him up), someone who is completely insane...
- ColorBlind, on 11/27/2007, -6/+14We knew about this weeks ago...
- DD00, on 11/27/2007, -2/+9Douche bags who think everyone has been to the end of the internet are still douche bags.
- inactive, on 11/28/2007, -0/+7beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice!
- statrick, on 11/27/2007, -5/+12the joker is suppose to be batman's equal, not some old fat guy.
- blackbeardtron, on 11/27/2007, -0/+6Agreed. Hamil's Joker voice has become permanently associated with the character in my mind, and I'm sure he would have looked damned creepy in the makeup, as well.
- misterteenwolf, on 11/27/2007, -4/+10heath ftw
- maexus, on 11/27/2007, -2/+7Most of you are complete idiots. The article isn't about revealing Ledger as the Joker, the article is about the leaked photo of him. Please, read the articles before... wait, this is Digg. I forgot were I was for a minute. Carry on. Jackasses.
- lharrod, on 11/28/2007, -0/+5Brokeback jokes are done. Hell, they were done from the beginning.
- scallon, on 11/27/2007, -0/+5you lie!
Don't believe him Devan612, he is trying to trick you. - RollFizzlebeef, on 11/27/2007, -1/+6This photo was just revealed today, assclown.
- guess88, on 11/27/2007, -1/+5I was doubtful about Heath as the Joker too, until I watched "Lords of Dogtown". I have faith in Nolan & Co. to make the movie wonderful.
- DD00, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4The socks are great. They did as good a job with the costume as they did with the makeup. Hopefully he plays the part as well, the small clips we've all heard of him sounds pretty good.
- cleonm, on 11/27/2007, -2/+6I personally think he looks totally rad!
We just need to see how that acting is... - inigomntoya, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4Thanks for the link. Can't wait to get my issue so I can read about the Mummy 3!
- hartley, on 11/27/2007, -2/+6I keep waiting for someone with enough insight to make a Batman movie and say "Hey, you know who we need for the Joker? Jake Busey."
Nothing reminds me of the Joker more than the Busey Smile. - Aero1, on 11/27/2007, -3/+7meh, he looks like michael keaton as beatlejuice
- honestpanda, on 11/27/2007, -1/+5The article is about the official unveiling of Heath Ledger's Joker, not that he is portraying him in the movie.
- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -1/+5assjoker
- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3You know, I seriously feel good about this movie, if Caine said that. He's an authority, actually.
- MadHarvey, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3Actually, its pretty amazing how much you can tell about this movie just based on the picture of the Joker. Right away, you can tell the Joker character is going to be dark as *****--exactly as he should be. You can tell the creators are taking inspiration from the best-of-the-best batman comics (Killing Joke, Dark Knight Returns, Arkham Asylum). This isn't going to be any campy tongue-in-cheek, holy-rusted-metal Batman *****. Its going to be a seriously dark flick. So, even if the movie ends up sucking, you can tell from these few pics of the Joker that somewhere along the line they had their heart in the right place.
- Tawney, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3I'm actually kind of impressed with the whole costume.
When I first heard Heath Ledger was playing the Joker, it sounded absolutely terrible. But at least they managed to make him look pretty darn creepy.
Now we just have to wait to see how the actual acting will be... - mstoneburner, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3Hay guys let's make another Batman franchise. Also, let's hire the guy who played the Joker in the 80's to play him again now in the 2000's. That will be edgy and fresh people will LOVE IT!!!!!111!
- irishpunk, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3I second that. Sure it's cool to see what he looks like, but in the end what matters is how good the movie shall be once it's released.
- spectre_25gt, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Yes
- irishpunk, on 11/27/2007, -3/+6Truly a face only a mother could love.
- lharrod, on 11/28/2007, -0/+3Don't judge just yet. His appearance is only part of the package. His performance is key. It will either make or break it. I've always thought he's a gifted actor, not afraid to play any type.
- rstarr, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3Normally I'd digg this sort of thing down, but it's just too good for everyone not to see it. Digg this man up.
- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -2/+4Damn right shane1337. Jack was good, but Heath is The Joker.
- FanofFilm, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2i wish i knew how to quit you
