- NathanCH, on 02/23/2009, -82/+1543Deserved. Not because he's dead, but because he's brilliant.
- agwalla, on 02/23/2009, -47/+1042Thank you all for digging my story and getting it on the front page. Many power users even submitted the same story before Heath Ledger even won. Thank you all again for digging the correct and truthful story.
Congratulations Heath, you deserved it! - Spindash54, on 02/23/2009, -24/+820I'm not surprised he won.
"It's all... part of the plan." - Laiden, on 02/23/2009, -45/+701Did anyone seriously think he may not win?
- inactive, on 02/23/2009, -80/+600Congrats! but it was kind of embarrassing when his family had to drag his body onstage.
- ff4marvel, on 02/23/2009, -30/+471Let's see him make that Oscar disappear....
- WafflesID, on 02/23/2009, -44/+394AWwWWWWW
*blows out torch*
*puts down pitch fork*
Glad he won, but I was prepared just in case he didn't - tkaravou, on 02/23/2009, -34/+322I'm digging and shouting this because an unknown digger submitted the story.
- Jeffler, on 02/23/2009, -32/+314Dugg and sent out to friends for being the first submitter even though I wouldn't be shocked if some power digger gets ahead of you. Hopefully that isn't the case.
And congrats to Heath. - weeFred, on 02/23/2009, -10/+217Yup he's winning Oscars even though he's dead while you sit in your basement and troll digg. What a success you are, well done.
- nofx1510, on 02/23/2009, -4/+201I joined back in 05 and it kills me to see how digg has fallen apart because of power users. Instead of seeing interesting and awesome stories make the front page all I ever see now is power users spam the site. People need to stand up against the power users and make this site good again.
- mannymix03, on 02/23/2009, -28/+194I still can't believe TDK only won 1 oscar and button won 3
- GregFD3S, on 02/23/2009, -7/+169You must be new here.
- zaferk, on 02/23/2009, -10/+170Yes I did, the oscar voting committee are all pretentious snobs
- crewof502, on 02/23/2009, -4/+139HAHAHA, that's just wrong...
- mysn239, on 02/23/2009, -0/+123I still can't believe its not butter!
- npsken, on 02/23/2009, -8/+124Why so serious?
- VelvetoneFusion, on 02/23/2009, -0/+104Disagree. I thought it was a tasteful homage to Weekend At Bernie's
- b8765g, on 02/23/2009, -32/+128Can anybody link a video of his acceptance speech?
- siggyfawn, on 02/23/2009, -19/+113No doubt. He was AMAZING as the Joker. Took it, and the Batman series to a new level. The scene where he was driving, with his head out the window, you really felt like this guy was freaking insane.
Props to everyone else involved with the Dark Knight, but Ledger really stole the show. - inactive, on 02/23/2009, -8/+102The Oscars are quite notorious for making the wrong choice. Also, the fact that TDK was a "Batman" movie, many don't take it seriously. If Batman didn't wear a costume in the movie and was just a regular detective, the movie would have been nominated, but because its a comic book movie, they don't take it as serious.
- notzak, on 02/23/2009, -14/+103Don't thank God, Thank the Academy
- mat831, on 02/23/2009, -0/+74this was way funnier since i didnt watch the awards
- GrooTheWanderer, on 02/23/2009, -2/+60Charming.
- nukeleearr, on 02/23/2009, -2/+56Not even close to being too early, brilliant comment imo.
- analogkid01, on 02/23/2009, -3/+57Since your opinion of me in no way defines me, I'll reply and say that you're more than welcome to say that up on the stage at the Kodak Theater after you've won an Oscar.
- justok, on 02/23/2009, -4/+56Dugg down?
why so ssseriouss? - thebillgonadz, on 02/23/2009, -0/+51TDK won for sound editing or something too.
- twertyto, on 02/23/2009, -5/+56My mom says I'm awesome.
- RansomHoldiay, on 02/23/2009, -26/+75well done mate. well done.
- Smokeydabear, on 02/23/2009, -29/+78(Comment about how he was deserving all along. Random comment about how The Watchmen is going to kick ass.)
- whatthefu, on 02/23/2009, -10/+56I hate things a lot of people really like too. We're so cool!
- RanIntoTheDevil, on 02/23/2009, -5/+51I know! What a surprise, right?
- ForceJump, on 02/23/2009, -5/+49lolololololololol
- GrooTheWanderer, on 02/23/2009, -1/+44...he might still be alive today.
- Elementix, on 02/23/2009, -2/+44You blew out a torch?
how the hell did you manage that? - GastricContents, on 02/23/2009, -3/+44Why so serious?
- Rain12913, on 02/23/2009, -18/+57"It's was brilliant"? If you're going to rudely correct someone's grammar make sure you get your own right at least.
- AzzidReign, on 02/23/2009, -6/+44Wall-e's been getting screwed over all night.
- CoreyHalliwell, on 02/23/2009, -3/+41I will see you at -400 by tomorrow.
- Shirt, on 02/23/2009, -4/+41Sure, but Slumdog Millionaire was actually a really good movie.
Have fun not liking things just because other people do though. - phoenix43, on 02/23/2009, -6/+43Batman was really not that great of a movie, technically speaking. I loved it, it was my favorite movie of recent years, but from a critical perspective, it was really only Heath Ledger's performance that was awesome. Maggie Gyllenhaal SUCKED, and Bale wasn't stellar: The Joker made that movie.
- IndianXC, on 02/23/2009, -3/+40Before I clicked the link, I already knew I would bury the first person to say this
- Immune, on 02/23/2009, -1/+36That's the thing, people don't care about the stuff power users put on the front page.
- DeanRed, on 02/23/2009, -14/+49Congrats Heath from your family and fans in Australia! you deserved it buddy!
- shnuffy, on 02/23/2009, -0/+32Because you spelled his name so terribly, terribly wrong.
