- Frankyfan3, on 07/17/2009, -50/+994Another prisoner of the War on Drug Users.
He's guilty of violating the law, but I've yet to hear how he hurt anyone.
Disgusting. - kakek, on 07/18/2009, -5/+763Minus 100 points for slytherin!

- nicksource, on 07/18/2009, -3/+624Upto 14 years!?! I've seen attempted murderers get less than that!
- lebruf, on 07/17/2009, -5/+474Oh most muggles wouldn't get how it's used in magic anyway.
- SmurfSlut, on 07/18/2009, -6/+392Well with all the money people spent buying his weed, people could of spent it on CDs and online music downloads. So you're wrong he did hurt someone. The RIAA. What a terrible person.
- EvansHall, on 07/18/2009, -2/+276It'd be funnier if it was the actor who plays Neville Longbottom.
- Rammal, on 07/18/2009, -15/+260So what if he was growing cannabis plants? Grow up guys! This is ***** 21st century!
- inactive, on 07/18/2009, -3/+230He hurts tobbacco and alcohol industries.
- lukedamonkey, on 07/18/2009, -5/+226Apparently growing a plant that never killed anyone is worst than killing someone.

What next? Get caught stealing and they chop your hand off? What a bunch of tyrannical scumbags.
- emomakesmecry, on 07/18/2009, -3/+180syntaxgs, I've got a question that I think you can probably help me solve.
How is babby formed? - ManJamimah, on 07/18/2009, -2/+174Relax, it was just Herbology homework.
- inactive, on 07/18/2009, -2/+139Yeah, I know someone who was sexually assaulted, and the offender got six months, but hey - this guy grows a plant that doesn't really harm anyone, so let's bang him up until he's in his thirties.
***** your moronic comment, and ***** our moronic "legal system".
I give up. - JollyMunchkin, on 07/18/2009, -2/+112This is too funny of a response NOT to digg.
- inactive, on 07/17/2009, -6/+115that's right, ruin a kid's life for a little gardening. does your douchebaggery know no bounds?
- inactive, on 07/18/2009, -3/+104I came here just to find that "Harry Pot-head" pun and bury it.
I'm a bit sad like that. - mhf03, on 07/18/2009, -2/+95Oh no Azkaban!!!!!!!!!!
- Amadeus2490, on 07/18/2009, -4/+96Fun Fact: "Muggle" was a slang word for cannabis back in the 1930s.
- gamepr0, on 07/18/2009, -1/+87I'm sure there are murderers who got less than that, that's why this is so ***** up.
- yocouchdigga, on 07/18/2009, -3/+88How could you not digg such a ridiculous comment?
I, for one, love this guy and think he should be a digg meme. - mrjoanofarc, on 07/18/2009, -4/+85This is really sad... when are we going to get past this issue? :-/
- Ninh, on 07/17/2009, -2/+78I'm afraid cultivation of potion ingredients won't fly in muggle court. Wet Willy to the writer of the story for trumping up the guy's importance in the movies.
- Philbert, on 07/18/2009, -2/+75"But officer it's wizard weed I swear!"
- Hoogs, on 07/18/2009, -0/+66I bet he got an O in herbology.
- n8n8n8, on 07/18/2009, -1/+63"ridiculous!"
- b8man99, on 07/18/2009, -0/+60What a ***** surreal thing to say syntaxgs. Who needs weed when you're around?
- lolwatermelon, on 07/18/2009, -2/+60I'd like to thank Syntax for being such a consistent troll.
- thumber, on 07/18/2009, -1/+58we need a referendum on this. because its getting annoying now that something so petty can be punished so harshly. its such a utter waste of time, resources and my taxes.
the bureaucratic elite need to grow up and let people live a little. - Culyt, on 07/18/2009, -1/+57Another prisoner... Will he carry out his sentance in Azkaban?
- kakwakas, on 07/18/2009, -1/+54....Really?
- oliversan, on 07/18/2009, -0/+49I'm thinking that stoners buy more music than the average person.
- realjustice, on 07/18/2009, -3/+52But is he really a star? A bit part, surely?
- bob_the_alien, on 07/18/2009, -0/+48Agreed, everyone seems to digg syntaxgs down, but all of his comments are flippin' hilarious.
- b0rna, on 07/18/2009, -1/+48Relax...the kid is just following a recipe from the copy of "Advanced portion-making" he stole from harry.
- Carrie76, on 07/18/2009, -1/+47I was actually thinking Luna Lovegood. If that chick isn't out of her mind stoned no one is.
- inactive, on 07/18/2009, -6/+47Up to 14 years for growing _a plant_? What a bunch of god damn *****.
- wild, on 07/18/2009, -2/+41I think the use of "star" is a bit of a stretch...
- Rotzooi, on 07/18/2009, -4/+41thanks for the lol!
- Mujokan, on 07/18/2009, -3/+40Is it really that satisfying to troll?
- TheBigBad, on 07/18/2009, -2/+37All your base are belong to us.
- gidd, on 07/18/2009, -0/+35From another article, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8153908. ...
"The court heard police found shots of the plants on Mr Waylett's camera after he was arrested for taking a picture of officers as he and a friend drove past."
Apparently he was arrested for _taking a photo_, and they took it from there. Was he arrested for "eliciting, publishing or communicating information" relating to members of the armed forces, intelligence services and police officers, which is "likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism"? (the all-new 2009 special edition "Section 76 of the Counter Terrorism Act")
Either the BBC News article is inaccurate, or there's some fairly controversial ***** happening with this case.
Fair enough, the kid's an idiot for making a public ass of himself in front of police while driving around with eight bags of weed, but that's a different matter.
What surprises me is that no-one in the media (except for that one article on BBC News) seems to have picked up on how he was originally stopped. FTFA, "...cops allegedly found him driving with eight bags of marijuana in his car." Unless the bags were in plain sight while he was driving, how did they know to stop him? - sageerrant, on 07/18/2009, -0/+34Heh, arcane.
- Lightnin4000, on 07/18/2009, -1/+35Not to mention Azkaban is a pretty nasty place from what I've heard.
- BarriedaleNick, on 07/18/2009, -2/+35He wont get time - if he pleads gulity at the magistrates he'll cop a fine and promise not to do it again.
I agree 14 years is forehead smackingly dumb but for a few plants he wont get time.. - pfarag, on 07/18/2009, -2/+33This explains why half of the characters acted like they were high as ***** in the last movie.
- uremomsnitemare, on 07/18/2009, -1/+30no, it's worse than
- TyIzaeL, on 07/18/2009, -0/+29I don't think there could be a better comment for this story.
- Velnich, on 07/18/2009, -3/+31Cannabis Sentensus Minimus! *flicks wrist*
