- roastedbagel, on 07/16/2009, -11/+67Snape kills Dumbledore...
Wait, that's funny again now, right? - Dodobutt222, on 07/16/2009, -0/+49Only when you scream it in the theater before the movie starts...
- Tejbir32, on 07/16/2009, -1/+34What happened to the big battle at Hogwarts following Dumbldores death?
- philb0t5000, on 07/16/2009, -7/+37Snape is the Half Blood Prince.
- jpole1, on 07/16/2009, -1/+26After seeing the movie (which I thoroughly enjoyed) my only question is this:
What the hell was with the random insertion of a scene at the Burrow where Fenrir Greyback and Bellatrix Lestrange show up and ultimately set the place on fire?
Aside from that confusion, I thought the movie was fantastic. - jpole1, on 07/16/2009, -0/+23They removed it to not have it redundant with the huge book 7 battle
- inactive, on 07/16/2009, -5/+25More accurate: Some loser who never read the book and rate movies with two decimales just to sound cool managed to put his webpage on the front page of Digg and is now enjoying $1,000s of advertising revenue.
- craeyon, on 07/16/2009, -1/+19All I have to say is that the scene with Dumbledore stirring up a firestorm was epic!
- Luvboat, on 07/16/2009, -0/+14I think the Burrow itself had represented the closest thing Harry knew to a legitimate home, especially in the recent movies where we have seen less and less of the Dursleys. To see it ablaze was to see the reality of war in the Wizarding world, in which there are no true safe havens.
- eTronicGaming, on 07/16/2009, -5/+18Was I the only one who thought the movie strayed a lot from the book and was mainly about teen romance and Dumbledore having gay moments?
- inactive, on 07/16/2009, -2/+14Boy, aren't you edgy and cool.
- roastedbagel, on 07/16/2009, -0/+11Dude dugg you up in hopes someone has better luck at finding it, im looking all over youtube now.
Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x_WUb68RQo - NJSlacker, on 07/16/2009, -0/+11Remember back when book 4 came out, and everybody was wondering who would die (it was the first book JK specified that a character would die)?
Well, my brother had just come home from getting his copy of the book at midnight, and he put it down for a second; long enough for me to grab it, flip to a random page in the back of the book, and gasp "Dumbledore dies?"
My brother almost killed me, until he realized I had made it up. - pingpants, on 07/15/2009, -1/+12I just want Rupert to hang in there. Keep up the good fight, Rupes.
- eTronicGaming, on 07/16/2009, -0/+10Really thousands of dollars?
- VermiciousKnid, on 07/16/2009, -0/+9wouldn't they just wave their wands and put it out?
- jpole1, on 07/16/2009, -1/+10I see your point, it just doesn't seem to fit, especially considering how much takes place at the Burrow in the beginning of the 7th book.
On the other hand, I'm thinking the Burrow's probably not completely destroyed, and we will be seeing it again at some point - Luminoth545, on 07/16/2009, -0/+9How can there be spoilers in a review of a movie that is based on a book?
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 07/16/2009, -1/+10That video was weak until the last few seconds, the "You bitch!" totally redeemed it Dumb and Dumber style.
- thisisnotanexit, on 07/16/2009, -1/+9I did. I read the book years ago.
- inactive, on 07/16/2009, -0/+8thousands of internet dollars.
- brownsound00, on 07/16/2009, -0/+7***** ebaumsworld
- NJSlacker, on 07/16/2009, -0/+6I did think they were really pushing those Gay moments.
- lovemorgul, on 07/15/2009, -2/+8I desperately want to see this.
- holeymoley, on 07/16/2009, -1/+7It was really entertaining - less dark than the last couple, and finally something that people who haven't read the books could actually follow.
- MetalHead73, on 07/16/2009, -0/+6I was a bit saddened about them removing it, but it makes sense.
If the Battle of Hogwarts doesn't blow me the ***** away, I will be disappointed. - Lochie, on 07/16/2009, -1/+6QUIDDITCH RULES
- offthewagon, on 07/16/2009, -1/+6I saw it. The final "flight of Snape" scene was weak, but aside from that I thought it delivered.
- Tejbir32, on 07/16/2009, -0/+5You must have a great social life
- SystemicThought, on 07/16/2009, -0/+5Because I'm worried about spoilers in a movie based on a book I read 4 years ago...
- yellowfish04, on 07/16/2009, -0/+5Yeah, that was that one part where they don't mention the Half Blood Prince for about an hour and a half, and then Snape says "I'm the Half Blood Prince."
Right? - inactive, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4I don't know what of pepper the decimales is but it sounds delicious
- heystellah, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4Excuse me. My English isn't that great either, but what the ***** are you talking about?
- MaddieCakes, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4Your mom swallows. Wait, what?
- TresTriste, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4Knitting... seriously? and the glances at both Harry and Tom, and questioning Harry about Hermione, or showing up in front of the "make magic with your man" poster and being transfixed? Definitely more gay than the book.
- lorddazzer, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4I slipped in a postit note in the final book for my little sister. On it was written "HARRY DIES".
This was somewhere in the middle. - ebcreasoner, on 07/16/2009, -1/+5Your comment blows.
- MaddieCakes, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4Yeah, that scene was totally anticlimactic. I was totally geared up for his big line, and I was like... 'WHAT THE *****?'
- jdh24, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3i agree. the acting was strong from everyone... and i enjoyed the sorta artsy cinematography
- jpole1, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3They're splitting the 7th book into two movies... this movie was the 6th book
- tj007s13, on 07/16/2009, -2/+5Is that a Wand in my pocket, or am I just happy to see another Harry Potter movie?
- fantheblaze, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3Dumbledore is gay!
Now enjoy watching the movie with that in mind. - theaceoffire, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3I was honestly more shocked when Ron got anally violated by Hermione.
- broke186, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3Yeah, I enjoyed the movie for the most part except for that final confrontation. I wish there was a little more drama there, like Snape and his his "I'M NOT A COWARD" yells.
- davincih, on 07/16/2009, -1/+3Why is a generic Harry Potter review on the front page when there's already been at least 3 others.
- stuffradio, on 07/16/2009, -1/+3Oh, you see these are the things you miss from not reading all the books yet, haha. I guess it adds more drama?
- Kohaxx, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2Meh, he had one gay moment and it was actually funny (knitting catalog).
I will agree there was too much romance and not enough wizard fights though. I wanted to see Greyback in battle instead of just hiding in the bushes teasing Harry and I wanted to see the Deatheaters get in a fight on their way out.
Still a good movie though.
The fact that the reviewer doesn't know what half-blood means, shows that they've never read the books or even understood the story and their opinion on the movie is meaningless. That would be like going to Transformers and asking everyone what a "Cybertron" was. - V3NOM, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2The movie should have explained the meaning of half-blood prince to at least some extent. For those that haven't read the book I bet the title seemed random. The entire scene in which it was revealed was also kind of anticlimactic.
- offthewagon, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2I was, actually. I knew they'd cut some scenes, and I wanted to wait until I saw it to see what they were. The only thing I checked before hand was IMDB to see if any of the gaunts were in the cast.
- thanakar, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2How can you be worried about spoilers in a movie based on a book that has already been released. Everyone already knows what happens in the movie!
