Ironman & TDK were awesome films, but jumping on the bandwagon to make yet another superhero film in the hopes you'll tap that geek market seems a little ... shallow. If Hollywood mistreats too many of our beloved characters, they'll turn away from the films, and the films will tank at the box office.
Then Hollywood will say "oh, darn, looks like we burned out the superhero genre; time to move onto talking dog movies" and we'll not see another decent superhero sci fi flick for another quarter century.
