THe magic fridge.
Best idea IMO. - nashpreds99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They dont have the Sprint commercials and the Career Builder chimp commercials! Those were some of the funniest ones!
- bentrop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm increasingly frustrated by the fact, that Google blocks more and more of their new services for the majority of bigger ISPs outside of the US. For most (but not all people) in Europe trying to play a video on Google displays this message:
"Thanks for your interest in Google Video.
Currently, the playback feature of Google Video isn't available in your country.
We hope to make this feature available more widely in the future, and we really appreciate your patience."
There is an easy way around this annoying limitation, but it is quite frustrating to always visit Google Videos through a 'proxy' like Google provides itself, e.g. http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=video.google.com .
The really sick part is, that it is already no problem for the rest of the world to BUY video from google, it's just the free content, that "isn't available in your country". - dharh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That was cool. This is the first step to efficient commercials. The only way I wanna see commercials is when I want to. Being able to click and watch commercials I choose (targeted to me) is the best way. Would be awesome if while watching TV instead of 1 or 2 minute commercials you just got the brought to you by 5 to 10 second segments (only the ones id be interested in) which I could then add to a view later folder. Then when I wanted to I could see full commercials on the web or even on TV. It still reminds me the company still exists, the 5 to 10 second blurb can tell me about a new commercial or product I may not already know about, and companies know for sure how many people are viewing their commercials and directly link them to sales. Win win win, over whats happening now which is ignore/time shift commercials because 99% of them are not anywhere near my demographic.
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3AOL too! http://sports.aol.com/nfl/superbowlads
You can vote as well. - Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Where's the one where the guy throws the cellphone? Now that one was funny.
- jk_baller23, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You can find a lot, if not all, here.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5305580 - spectre_25gt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yeah, but AOL's site sucks. They show commercials IN BETWEEN COMMERCIALS! Do they not think they're making enough money or something? Jesus...
- erhysen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice digg. Better than the other sites because around half of them can be downloaded for iPod or PSP. (And not for $1.99 like ESPN was trying to charge for its ads on iTunes, either.)
- thedivxkid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Better quality here
http://www.divx.com/movies/supersunday.php?movieID=135 - Lamb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Fark got a better link, http://www.ugoto.com/superbowlcommercials/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I found the Sprint "Crime Detterent" one quite funny.
- Ghazi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0One more vote for "the magic fridge." Hilarious!
- h198x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HOLY CRAP! That Burger King ad has to be THE WORST COMMERCIAL ***EVER***. HOLY CRAP!
How some knucklehead dreamed it up, a staff of yes-wo|men okayed it, the director didn't quit during it's production, and why Burger King execs didn't fire all of their (IMHO) talentless asses, I'll never understand. - lambright, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WARNING! -- Only if you have extra time The most addictive ferrari/porsche/gumball/ supercar videos ever
http://digg.com/search?search=best+google+Video%27s+Ferrari+FXX%27s+Porsch+GT%2Fr%27s+Gumball+3000+ - peregrine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Lackluster commercials this year.
Kuddos to google for being awesome even more.
~ - ElectricGrandpa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fedex + Magic Fridge + Emerald Nuts = the best commercials.
I can't stand the Go Daddy ads - edto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://superbowl.break.com/superbowl/superbowl.html
as well - 70ny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Michelob Amber was hilarious. After the guy tackles the girl. "You were open, but now you are closed!" That was one of the best lines of the night.
- Scape3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sprint "crime deterrent" commercial not here. No digg.
- pinkfireball, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1also has 4 commercials -not shown on tv-
- mpancha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm in Toronto, and I barely got any. There were a lot of useless Nissan ads, and some Canadian ones. But thanks to Google I can actually watch the ads.
On the flip side, no digg, this isn't really a tech link. Maybe a half a digg if I could do that. - sahaskatta, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2way to go google !!! first good use of google video
other place to watch commercials is iFilm: http://www.ifilm.com/superbowl
http://www.skattertech.com - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Forget superbowl commercials, I want spam!!
- loudestnoise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0We need downloadable MacGyver! Where?
- ripter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Did anyone else get local commercials during the Superbowl? I didn't get all of the commercials listed in ifilm. Oh an BTW the 'unaired' Godaddy commercial with the girls top breaking was aired
- INHUMANITY, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Anybody have a downloadable link to the MacGyver commercial?
- colinodell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1godaddy was okay, the magic fridge was awesome
- carvalho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no digg - everyone else is also hosting them - yahoo!, aol, msn and a half dozen others named in the comments.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I also am mourning the lack of the Ameriquest ones (shock paddle, woman mounting man on plane due to turbulence)
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Try iFilm, rubysoho.
http://www.ifilm.com/superbowl?htv=12 - bob12321, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i haft to get these videos for my psp
- staticten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0oh and yeah...........I think the Rose Bowl was a better show than this POS!
- staticten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm digging this because the page looks so organized....
But i have to say this was the most lame, most overhyped superbowl ever.......it just sucks......plus there were so many bad calls...........wtf was that all about....
@mike_p:
i totally agree with you man.......i think they knew superbowl XL is not worth the money to be advertising on........COKE wasn't even there...........if COKE was not there, that's a big sign that the show is full of $hit!!! - eddieo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I Tivo'ed the game. Didn't get to see many commercials at the party.
Congrats to Pittsburg....the 12th man (wearing stripes) was on their side for this game. - eddieo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Oh and the rendition of National Anthem was a disgrace...as was the halftime show
with the Tomb Stones. - digitul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0my god jessica simpson is the most over rated skank ever
- reimkefj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The one from career builder (?) about jackasses is missing. Guess they didn’t pay google to host it! Too bad, I thought that was the best.
- simpleSoft, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The sprint commercials aren't on there.
- MattZed, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i hate the canadian law that says that the commercials have to feature canadian content and i think that they should let the superbowl commercial ones slide... they are the best ones out of the whole year. instead of creativeness we watch crap like the MotoMaster Eliminator Battery, now available at your local Canadian Tire commercials. thank god for google.
- gigamike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Where has the Ameriquest "Mile High Club" commercial gone. It was available on most of the sites until about an hour ago...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Fed-ex commercials are always the best --- remember last year's? "top ten things to have a successful superbowl commerical"? ***** gold.
- akinder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They won't air GoDaddy's commercials, but they'll put up that no talent hack Jessica Simpson?
- modpancake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I miss the Fed-Ex commercial that was based on Castaway, from a few years back... I think it's an overlooked classic.
- phantom_mullet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Little hint...if you wanna download the commercials in QT format, just go to iFilm, find the film id (should be 7 digits long) and insert it into this link (where the x's are) to get the direct link to the film.
http://download.ifilm.com/qt/portal/xxxxxxx_300.mov - zunigbab, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Where is the Sprint "Crime Deterrent" phone ad? That was one of the funniest!
- gaius_baltar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow... only like 3 of these ads are worth noting at all. What a bunch of crap adverts. They aren't trying anymore.
- Export, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"This video is not playable in your country."
what kinda stupid ***** is this? - boxapizza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone know of any links to the commercials that didnt make it on air?
