- heretrix, on 10/09/2009, -0/+14Dr Ray Stantz: Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dickless here.
Walter Peck: They caused an explosion!
Mayor: Is this true?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yes it's true.
[pause]
Dr. Peter Venkman: This man has no dick. - lolerskate, on 10/09/2009, -0/+13The greatest accomplishment of mankind is without a doubt the movie Ghostbusters.
- donnyloggins, on 10/09/2009, -0/+10Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!
- RealmDown, on 10/09/2009, -0/+9"Sir, ..cough.. what you have there ..cough.. is what we refer to as a focused, non-terminal repeating DB error, or a Class Five full vapor page. Real nasty one, too!"
- AngryDeuce, on 10/08/2009, -0/+8One of the more interesting articles I've read lately. Love Ghostbusters!
- ponyfreak, on 10/09/2009, -0/+7I proposed to my wife on the steps of the New York Public Library. To this day...she still doesn't know why.
- samanathon, on 10/09/2009, -0/+7Looks the same...
- Ludwig, on 10/09/2009, -0/+7Hook & Ladder 8 sells FDNY/Ghostbusters T-Shirts, and has half of the GB2 sign on the wall, along with tons of production photos.
55 West Central won't let you inside.
Nobody in Tavern on the Green will look if you bang on the windows like Louis Tully.
The New York Public Library will not let you into the stacks (where the library ghost was). The room they walk into in the beginning (where Egon is listening to a table) is actually upstairs, and looks way bigger in person.
Went to New York a few years back explicitly to check these places out.

You're gonna endanger us, you're gonna endanger our client - the nice lady, who paid us in advance, before she became a dog... - thunderforce, on 10/09/2009, -0/+7I don't remember this scene when I watched the movie:
"Error establishing a database connection"
I'll download a torrent to check later.... just to be sure - Tbags, on 10/09/2009, -0/+6Get her Ray!
- theOster, on 10/09/2009, -0/+5Walter Peck: And where do you put these ghosts, once you catch them?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Into a storage facility.
Walter Peck: And would this storage facility be located on these premises?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yes.
Walter Peck: And may I see this storage facility?
Dr. Peter Venkman: No.
Walter Peck: And why not, Mr. Venkman?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Because you did not use the magic word.
Walter Peck: What is the magic word, Mr. Venkman?
Dr. Peter Venkman: [looking surprised] Please!
Walter Peck: May I *please* see the storage facility, Mr. Venkman?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Why do you want to see the storage facility? - CaptObvious, on 10/09/2009, -0/+3Mirror for the second part?
- Trick07, on 10/09/2009, -0/+3So basically not much has changed! Still, interesting article...
- kasjogren, on 10/09/2009, -0/+3Down so soon?
- floronicman, on 10/09/2009, -0/+1Tell him about the Twinkie
- floronicman, on 10/09/2009, -0/+1I think this building should be condemned. There's serious metal fatigue in all the load-bearing members, the wiring is substandard, it's completely inadequate for our power needs, and the neighborhood is like a demilitarized zone.
- Ne007, on 10/09/2009, -0/+1Not much difference at all.
- goobly, on 10/09/2009, -0/+1The new Ghostbusters movie is written by the same team that wrote Year One... needless to say I have very low expectations for it.

- MrBabyMan, on 10/10/2009, -0/+1The author of this blog, Nick Carr was not expecting me to submit this to Digg, His servers are screaming (why doesn't everyone use WP Super Cache?). He emailed me to tell me he put the articles up on HuffPo as an ad hoc mirror for his own blog.
- SPLASTiK, on 10/10/2009, -0/+1The room with the stacks and Library ghost was actually filmed at Los Angeles Central Library... I went to NYC to check out GB sites last year, good times.
- beammeup4, on 10/10/2009, -0/+1"I love this town!"
- CaptObvious, on 10/10/2009, -0/+1Those are both Part 1.
