I gotta say, I'm really looking forward to seeing what it will be like. I think the movie is gonna rock, but the show could have some problem... but I think there is such a huge fan base that it will be a hit no matter how good it is. But I think Lucas will do a good job with it.

I remember found memories of being a kid going to see the all three movies of the star wars movies back when Star Wars first came out. The ritual of movie line premiers have lasted the hands of time and still happen to this day. The movies were magical and everything George created meant everything in the world to me as a fan. Through reading interview’s with him and assorted authorized books and getting the feel for where this path lead to. I knew this would lead towards a number of shows and why.
He talked in his interviews about the way this movies would evolve and how it was based in the style of an old Shakespeare play where you have three main events. The beginning the middle and the end. Each three part movie segment revolved around that premise. Nine films were to be made and even the official Star Wars web site had places for where the nine films would be section for information.
These films would create the next round of events which would show the new Jedi order from Han Solo and princess Lea and Chewbacca would die in the later three films. There were other Jedi that Luke would become involved with for more story content. This was a final resting place for where he was leading us.
But shortly after work began with EP1 he changed all that and the images on the web site vanished and his whole interview about what was to come was changed and he decided to peruse a shortened butchered version of what fans had come to know from authorized books and what he original noted. This was a complete back peddle and I think fans who have followed these stages over the years should be addressed from him in regards to an important change which I feel is unnecessary because he could still work on the last films and have other directors create the final segments in the story line but he is such a control freak I think he understands he is getting older and may not be able to do well with the projects and is just to stubborn to let someone else finish his work. I respect him for making the best movies ever and will always be a fan but I think he owes us a completed work and some television show where everything will be diluted by commercials trying to sell us dish soap and fried chicken. I think Star Wars is better than that. - ChickenCow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Worst idea ever.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0All part of his "original vision"... You know, the one that started with 3 movies, he said that was it, moved to 6, said that was it... (Not to mention that ewok crap)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if he does a TV show, it will be horrible.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0After his discription of the new Star Wars movie as Titanic in space I don't have much hope for either the movie or any spin-off series.
- entr0py, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0... this day just gets worse and worse ...
