- dsmx, on 11/07/2008, -1/+41Really they need to be writing episodes again not movies, when you write an episode you can make it longer than the episode and cut out stuff that isn't funny or essential to the plot. However in the futurama films it seems that they've wrote a plot then try to think of things to add to the main plot string it out into the 80 minutes or so the film ends up being. Some times this works however most of the time it ends up diluting the humour and ends up not being as funny. That's not to say the futurama films have been bad it's just that if they'd of been made shorter they would of been a lot better.

I can see how they maybe felt deprived of having the opportunity to do one when the trilogy came out (for obvious reasons), but it just seemed so very uninspired and unoriginal. I think it's the weakest of the three films--with BwaBB coming in as the best and Bender's Big Score coming in at number two only because it seemed like it was trying a little too hard to make a reference to EVERYTHING in the series all at once.

But this movie sucked. It was painful to try and watch it. I ended up giving up and turning it off. - Ninjapope, on 11/07/2008, -0/+2It was entertaining, but I couldn't help feeling the writers were taking short cuts in some places. I was kinda of disappointed that there wasn't a more important purpose to Leela's collar considering how exposed we were to it, the explanation for nibbler being caged was reasonable but seemed tacky explaining it in passing, and the ending wasn't really rewarding.
