- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31My heart leapt in my chest at the mere idea. This show, while rocky at first, was nigh brilliant into the fourth season. Right when Fox decided to cancel.
To Fox, I say: Kiss my shiny metal dandelion. - NoodlyAppendage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28Fry: I can't swallow that!
Professor: Good news, it's a suppository! - spidermanspants, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28I knew this was going to happen. Adult swim and dvd sales did wonders in bringing back these great cartoons. Fox sprouts the idea, but slowly kills it in the process.
- NoodlyAppendage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24wtf who's modding you down? Adult Swim rocks
- DesertSquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23Good news everyone! Praise be to Zombie Jesus. I couldn't think of anything right now that would make me happier than this news. Here's hoping CC treats it right.
- eridius, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19Got cancelled a while back, exploded in popularity on DVD, and was brought back.
- FullMetalMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Awesome! The guys at Fox that cancelled Futurama can kiss my shiny metal ASS!

No suicide booth for me :) - blbennett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14first fox was bringing it back, then we heard that it was going to be two direct to dvd features, now we hear comedy central has ordered 13 episodes. I'm taking it with a big giant bag-o-salt but like the other rumors....I'm squealing like a young girly stuck pig.
ALL HAIL HYPNOTOAD!!! - fr3nch13, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Did any one notice that in the Cartoon Network version they said zombie instead of Zombie Jesus?
- SgtBeavis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1313 more episodes of Zoidberg goodness :-)
- DiamondIce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12@ dclowd9901
If you are referring to Benders top 10 most frequently uttered words then I believe you mean "daffodil" not dandelion.
Oh crap! Here come the digg police to mod me down. Cheese it!
Edit: Oh what the hell, I'll throw in a bite my ass comment to.
Fox, bite my glorious golden ass! - elpayo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+112008 can not come soon enough.

"Futurama": Head not yet in jar
Comedy Central's bringing the show back for "at least" 13 news episodes.
COMEDY CENTRAL® ACQUIRES NEW EPISODES
OF TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX TELEVISION’S EMMY-WINNING "FUTURAMA"

At Least 13 New Episodes To Be Added To The 72 Previously Acquired By COMEDY CENTRAL
--------
NEW YORK, June 22, 2006 -- COMEDY CENTRAL has acquired the rights to air at least 13 additional, soon-to-be-produced episodes of Matt Groening's and David X. Cohen’s Emmy-winning animated comedy series "Futurama," augmenting the initial license agreement it entered into with Twentieth Century Fox Television last fall, it was announced today by David Bernath, senior vice president, programming, COMEDY CENTRAL. "Futurama" will be added to the COMEDY CENTRAL schedule in 2008. (see attached release for more information)
==== - kindrobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8There's a guy in my area running for office and there are tons of those lawn signs all over town with his name on them.... big signs that say BENDER! in almost florescent colors. Every time I see them I am tempted to print up my own addendum stickers:
"vote for my shiny metal ass"
...and place them on each and every sign I see.
Tempted.
Great news, by the way. - bouche, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8confirmed by Billy West himself at:
http://www.billywest.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2520&PN=1&TPN=1
"Yes! A full season of new Futurama episodes is on the way on Comedy
Central! I already knew but every time I said anything,I got my ass spanked
for ''jumping the gun.'' Everyone is coming back and we start recording in
July.So,ahh.....Death to my enemies!
This'll be so much fun.
Billy " - deadbaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7It's about damn time. I made my own Bender robot out of cardboard and silver spray paint but it's not as funny as the real thing and sometimes his cigar falls out and catches him on fire.
- mesostinky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7That's freaking awesome!
- WeeklyGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7best news i've heard all week.

- Continuum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7If anyone needs me, I'll be in the happy dome!
- verifex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Whoever is in charge over at Comedy Central really has their head screwed on right. I missed all the Futurama crew! Thank you!
- DesertSquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Those rumors where only brought up because of something Billie West posted about in his blog. This has been confirmed by both Fox and Comedy Central, so it carries a bit more weight. I can understand your hesitation though.
- mathemagician, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"ALL HAIL HYPNOTOAD!!!"
yes - all glory to the hypnotoad!!!
I can't stop watching it: http://www.r33b.net/ - curtvdh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Fox - where great shows go to die!
I'm glad CC is picking up Futurama - Fox royally shafted Groening with the last run. 7 PM Eastern on a Sunday - and pre-empted by ***** Football every other week. Not to mention Firefly - nothing like showing the episodes out of order, screening like 6 or 7 episodes and then cancelling the show due to 'poor ratings'. WTF? - OneAndOnlySnob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Hah, Family Guy has cancelled twice. We are currently enjoying the 3rd life of the show.
- TheKingInYellow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7OMGOMGOMG!!!! a perfect ending to a perfect day! i got to work on time, the company bought everyone lunch, futurama is back for 13 episodes. what else is in store for me today?
- xero9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7@OneAndOnlySnob:
Enjoying? I don't know about you or anyone else but Family Guy has gone down hill.
As much as I love the show, they're seriously just beating a dead horse at this point. Still watch every new episode in hopes that it'll be funny. - culebra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6All Glory to the Hyptnotoad...and David X. Cohen
But seriously. The thing that has to come with this is David X. Cohen. If he's not signed on, then it will die with the 13th episode. He's seriously a very important part of futurama. I'll down a bottle of Old Fortran tonight in hopes this comes to fruition!
***Kittens Give Morbo Gass - Cheeseness, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It's "Heeey, sexy momma... wanna kill all humans?"
- bacon_skoda, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7huge cast = cost too much.
(watch out The Office) - kigabit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6HUZZAH!
- SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Adult Swim should play Firefly instead of Saved by the Bell, maybe then Firefly will come back.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6this is great! i loved it and i cant wait to see new episodes! w00t!
- mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"Hey baby, wanna kill all humans?"
- SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Futurama escapes the Sunset Squad!
- thetechnoloser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Fry:.."I'd like to place a collect call"
Suicide Booth:.."You have chosen... Slow and painful"
Bender:.."Oooh. Good choice!" - Midnightbrewer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Fox cancelling something at its peak? What a concept! No wonder they had to scramble to find a way to kill Serenity.
