- paco1524, on 07/07/2008, -3/+21I have no idea what was happening in that trailer, but if I were to guess, it looks like the movie will be the game of Dungeons and Dragons that the kids are playing at the beginning, and Bender and the gang are somehow in it.
- Lochie, on 07/07/2008, -0/+40No spluh!

- t4ll3y, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Thanks for ruining the end, dick.
- ConfusedCartman, on 07/07/2008, -37/+9This movie looks like *****, just like The Beast With A Billion Backs. The first Futurama movie was good, but not these.
- misreto, on 07/07/2008, -0/+90I feel the series coming back. Please...
- Psi57, on 07/07/2008, -3/+16The Simpsons need to end...
- d0onut, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4When they said they were making new episodes of Fututrama, they meant they were going to cut up these movies and air them on Comedy Central. Still, these are pretty good.
- charlie55, on 07/07/2008, -19/+36it is too bad the movies are not very good. the first one was ok, but the second was a snoozer.
- avatarpalin, on 07/07/2008, -4/+12I agree, I wished it was so much better.
I thought my arse would get a digg labelled paddlin' for a commend like that but I guess I wasn't alone - punkcat, on 07/07/2008, -2/+9number 2 was a stinker, it even made me check the credits to make sure groening had anything to do with it.
- necromancer, on 07/07/2008, -2/+10Futurama has always had a polished feel... every joke just seems to fit perfectly and lead into the next.
The first movie wasnt bad, but it wasnt quite up to par with the majority of the episodes. The 2nd movie definitely didnt have anywhere near the polish or quality of the old episodes... oh well. Still glad they are making the movies though. I'd still take bad Futurama over quite a bit of other stuff.- 12340987, on 07/07/2008, -1/+2yeah, they haven't descended to the level of the simpsons.
- willclarke, on 07/07/2008, -1/+6Agreed. I thought the first one was hilarious, but maybe that was just because it was so refreshing to see new futurama again. Number 2 sucked. This one looks better though.
- antdude, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1The first half was funny, but the second half lost the humor.
- wiresjr, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Completely disagree, I'm afraid.
I sat through the first one, hoping it would get better, but it was cameo after cameo, had what? three song and dance numbers? and was generally a poor story. It was like they were desperately trying to tie up all the loose ends in Futurama's history in one hacked together session.
The second movie had me actually laughing. The set-ups were there, the one-liners, Bender's fantastic sense of timing coupled with his complete lack of morals... I started with trepidation, and was blown away. To me, this felt like new Futurama, where the first one felt like a chance to get every character back for a nice reminisce with a story duct-taped to their backs.
You're entitled to your opinion though, I suppose. - sindex, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1Bender's Big Score was brilliant. Beast with a Billion Backs, while not as fast-paced funny as a typical 22-minute episode, ranks up there with the best of Futurama's tragedies like "Jurassic Bark," "Time Keeps on Slippin'," and "The Sting."
The scope of what is found and lost on a personal/individual level, as well as on a Universal/Galactic scale in "Beast" is crushing, and yet the absurdity and humor of it all shines through. It isn't a yuck-a-minute episode, but it looks great, it has some hilarious moments, some quotable quotes, and the overarching ridiculousness of a Heaven-as-Space Monster with perhaps a slight self-esteem issue keeps things rolling along.
I give it a 3 (maybe 3½) out of 5.
- avatarpalin, on 07/07/2008, -4/+12I agree, I wished it was so much better.
- trumpcard, on 07/07/2008, -14/+8Why do they always mess up the movies.
- seldon452, on 07/07/2008, -10/+1A futurama... about video games...
Sweet.- bagboyrebel, on 07/07/2008, -3/+6umm.. no it's not. Dungeons and Dragons is not a video game, although there are video games based off of it.
- Halsfield, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1dang whippersnappers and their new fangled "moving picture box" . =P
i felt so old when i heard a younger kid ask what dungeons and dragons was, and even older when i explained to him that you played with a pen and paper and your imagination, not a pc or console. - crazycraka, on 07/07/2008, -0/+0Really? I thought dungeons and dragons was like a board game thing where you get like little figures of warlocks and *****.. and they have cards that come with them, kinda like pokemon and chess combined..
- Halsfield, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1dang whippersnappers and their new fangled "moving picture box" . =P
- bagboyrebel, on 07/07/2008, -3/+6umm.. no it's not. Dungeons and Dragons is not a video game, although there are video games based off of it.
- Bara, on 07/07/2008, -3/+26I liked the first one better than the second, and I can't say the fantasy aspect looks all that appealing for the third (I want a sci-fi show, not a fantasy show), but nonetheless it's Futurama. Bring me more!
- jbarket, on 07/07/2008, -7/+2Agreed on the first two.
Bender's Big Score was amazing. The number of references to the show they were able to incorporate made it an amazing piece of writing.
The second had some great humor, but lacked the serious, over the top punch the first had.- supernuke, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4I agree the first movie had better serious story lines, but was ruined due to the 3 ***** musical numbers stuffed into the 2nd half of it. That's why i like the 2nd movie better.
- jbarket, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1Thankfully I can only remember the horrid Christmas related one. If the other two are anywhere near as bad, you're probably right, haha.
- jbarket, on 07/07/2008, -7/+2Agreed on the first two.
- roessnakhan, on 08/28/2008, -3/+16Yeah a similar comment was buried, but I hope its better than the second movie. The second movie would have been better as a normal episode, but not a movie. The first movie was great though - all the nods to previous episodes worked and its one of few time travel related stories that actually wraps things up.
- dullnation, on 07/07/2008, -0/+79Good news everyone!

I still need to watch the second movie=(- Halsfield, on 07/07/2008, -1/+2its not quite as good as the first, but i guess its worth seeing the futurama gang get into crazy hijinx and shenanigans
- parkermauney, on 07/07/2008, -7/+30Ender's Game anyone?
- Halsfield, on 07/07/2008, -9/+3i didnt make that connection until after you mentioned it, thanks guy !
oh wait...we all knew already sorry =/ - usemanzana, on 07/07/2008, -2/+2I wondered how many people would get that. I bet the digg percentage is higher than elsewhere, though.
- nmcphee, on 07/07/2008, -3/+2it's such a good book.
- darkane, on 07/07/2008, -0/+5When I saw the title, I kind of half expected/wanted it to be an Ender's Game spoof. I'm a little disappointed that it's not. Though I imagine the very few parodies that could be made would involve killing people by kicking them in the balls. And maybe the pedo officers being around naked children all the time.
- mydingaling, on 07/07/2008, -1/+1Nibbler for the dead.

- Stormwern, on 07/07/2008, -3/+2A science fiction cartoon about a board game... Not desperately pandering to the nerd demographic, not at all..
- Halsfield, on 07/07/2008, -1/+0uhh...when was futurama not for a nerd audience? get over yourself nerd and enjoy some futurama.
- M00nshield, on 07/07/2008, -1/+5The title of the movie is misleading :(
remember, the enemy's gate is down. - gllopc, on 07/07/2008, -2/+8I just wish Futurama would come back for good; and I'm afraid that time has passed.
- Halsfield, on 07/07/2008, -2/+1they are doing new episodes soon, whether they will be good or not, im not sure. I don't really feel futurama was made for this type of medium, that is, film. They have to stretch the plots out too long and cant fill all the gaps with funny. Instead its filled with poor jokes, and bad plot. I did like bender's big score a lot though, i just think episodes are where matt groening's gift for hilarity can shine.

- misterhektik, on 07/07/2008, -1/+12If you reverse that, you might be right. It seemed I was laughing every 2 minutes for the first hour of the second film. And it had Zapp Brannigan, damnit.

- Halsfield, on 07/07/2008, -7/+3bender's big score was decently funny, beast with a billion backs was ho-hum, this one looks like it could have merit , although you really cant get a whole lot from such a random preview. The first two movies definitely had some pretty dry parts, but it was worth watching for the funny stuff that was sprinkled throughout. Bender's big score also gave more insight about leela and fry's relationship and had a decent story, BBB was a really terrible premise.
- stouffer67, on 07/07/2008, -0/+5That preview made no sense at all.

uhh? - gamerzworld, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1What does the RIAA have to do with Fox's movie division? Fox has been known to make people take down things relating to Futurama. Trailers for BBS on YouTube were DMCAed by Fox when they we're publicly available over the official website. Fan sites for Futurama have recieved letters from Fox telling the owner to take the site down, etc.

- aflaks, on 07/07/2008, -9/+1I love futurama to the core, but I am afraid that this comeback will be like family guy's comeback, or the 17 simpsons season... or even the 6th season of spongebob (if you want to stretch analogy out). Looking at the beast with a thousand backs or whatever the hell it was, i cant help but feel the tumbling quality of futurama and am completely petrified that this rebirth will be only based on profit driven results.
RIP Old futurama and I pray to all your gods that this show will not follow the horrible trends of the previously listed shows
(sorry if there are spelling or grammar errors, I am thoroughly distressed over this and dont have the heart to proofread) - blorc, on 07/07/2008, -4/+12I guess I'm weird. I liked The Beast with a Billion Backs more than Bender's Big Score. BBS felt like they were still getting settled in with the personalities/voices. BwaBB felt much more "Futurama-esque" to me.
- jimmick, on 07/07/2008, -9/+1No thanks, I liked Futurama because it knew when to quit.
- Cronikeys, on 07/07/2008, -0/+8It was cancelled.
- freaky2k, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3I like both movies that were out so far. I don't think they compare too well with the series, but I still thought they were both good and awesome for fans. I also am in hope that these 4 movies doing really well will bring back the actual series. The 20 min episodes just fit it better. Anyways, the movies are awesome and I've already bought the first 2...plan on buying the next 2 as well.
