- FishHammer, on 11/02/2007, -0/+26I'll probably get my free screening at the Torrent Theater in Juarez
- metapop, on 11/02/2007, -0/+9all i have to say is: arrested development. nothing makes me more happy than to see 2 of the bluths back together again, i can't wait to see it. i hope they throw a random shot of gob doing the chicken dance in there somewhere.
- Worldchrisis, on 11/05/2007, -1/+8Capital of the country takes precedence over a place famous for starbucks and rain.
- wtfomg, on 11/02/2007, -0/+5It's really sad that genuinely good looking movies made by talented people have to be paraded around for free on the hope that the word of mouth could get a few people into theaters and some decent DVD sales.
Spend the money advertising movies that deserve it, and shelving ***** like the Heartbreak Kid. - thecat99, on 10/27/2007, -1/+3saw this movie a few months back, it is as good as everyone says it is
- xXMetalJesusXx, on 10/29/2007, -2/+4Okay...you can go back to watching Michael Bay films now...
- Lindsay13, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2Any movie with George Michael in it is amazing.
- echostudios, on 10/28/2007, -2/+4When will people in D.C. stop saying they live in Washington? I live in Seattle damn it, and it has three listings for Washington just to confuse me.
- CaptainM4d, on 10/28/2007, -0/+2I saw the trailer before seeing this, and I could already tell it's going to be a keepah.
- richardhenry, on 10/27/2007, -2/+4Todger!
- stormof59, on 10/27/2007, -0/+2Of course the San Francisco one is already full. Sad times for my wallet, now I have to pay for it like a normal person.
- lex0nyc, on 10/27/2007, -0/+2New York screenings already full. :-(
- ferndave, on 11/02/2007, -4/+5Does "This Year's [insert movie title, album, etc.]" really create interest in people? I always took it to mean lazy journalism for a poor piece of work that can't stand on its own. This movie might be great, but enough with the cliches!
- johnhummel, on 10/27/2007, -1/+2I caught the trailer, and I'm rather looking forward to it.
- tidu, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1whats the story, fertile myrtle
- mnx12, on 10/27/2007, -1/+2Awesome i've been wanting to see this one. See you guys at one of the Salt Lake screenings!!
- ironicsans, on 10/28/2007, -2/+3I can't wait to get this on DVD. With just one movie, I can replace Ghost World, Little Miss Sunshine, Rushmore, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, The Royal Tenenbaums, the Arrested Development box set, Garden State, I Heart Huckabees, Thank You For Smoking, Art School Confidential, American Splendor, Welcome to the Dollhouse, The Office Season Two, Virgin Suicides, Happiness, Lost in Translation, American Beauty, In Good Company, Magnolia, Igby Goes Down, Napoleon Dynamite, Punch Drunk Love, Knocked Up, Superbad, Bottle Rocket and Almost Famous. Awesome.
- gk128, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1December 17th until I can see it for free :(.
- UGM2099, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1Yeah.. boo!
- inactive, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1Just come up to Vancouver
- wphj, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1Or Bee Movie. Every time Seinfeld comes on NBC to parade that movie, it makes me want to avoid that movie even more. I'm at the point where I actively want NOT to see it.
- imikedaman, on 10/28/2007, -0/+1Sorry for the comment hijacking, but this is non-news. Almost *every* film has a first-come-first-serve free advanced screening. Check your local newspaper sometime.
My dad subscribes to three different newspapers solely for the ads that announce free screenings of upcoming movies. - nobeastsofierce, on 10/28/2007, -1/+2really, can you say it? Do you earn the ability to say 'it' when you get into 3rd Year of Film School?
just because I too believe it was an awesome movie, doesn't mean you should stop smelling your own farts - xXMetalJesusXx, on 10/27/2007, -1/+2By todays standards, an American film with a budget of under 10 Million is considered Indie....not Independent...
And Distributes and major actors have nothing to do with it at all...Now Independent films outside of America have much more strict guild lines... - AstroKid, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1No screenings in Philadelphia or the New Jersey area make me sad.
- aTTicus78, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1How do you get tix to these free screenings? I've called two of the theaters listed in Indy and neither of them have any idea what I'm talking about.
Help? - nathew, on 10/28/2007, -0/+1it had me the minute i heard kimya dawson/moldy peaches' music.
- ohhoe, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1;_; If it's first come first serve for seating I don't see why they had to cap the rsvp-ing.
whatever, movies like this always send out a lot of promo dvds and it'll be available for download soon anyway. - zonk3r, on 10/27/2007, -1/+1This film looks kick ass.
- barryiggins, on 10/28/2007, -2/+2I was referring to a certain aesthetic quality that the film was emulating, like Wes Anderson with the soul sucked out. The term "indie" itself has basically no meaning; its like "quirky" or "offbeat". ***** that lazy, meaningless *****.
- barryiggins, on 10/29/2007, -9/+9Big surprise that the one guy who says little miss sunshine sucked is getting dugg down. With the nearly unanimous critical acclaim that movie got, it was one of those times where I felt the whole world must have gone insane. That movie was TERRIBLE. It was contrived, sterile garbage dressed up in cutesy "indie" aesthetic cliches. Props to the haters for speaking the truth.
- damage78, on 10/27/2007, -0/+0I'm having the same problem.. I'm assuming the November 1st show is in Bellevue, WA. Can anyone confirm that?
- xXMetalJesusXx, on 11/01/2007, -4/+4Speaking the truth? Read into the film a little bit... As a 3rd Year Film Student, I can say it was a spectacular film...
- Biojoe, on 10/28/2007, -0/+0SWEET! I am 15 min away from George, Washington
oh wait, the website is referring to Washington State, not actual Washington
.... pissed ...
Washington = Washington
Washington D.C. = Washington D.C.
Washington /= Washington D.C. - 0phelia, on 10/29/2007, -0/+0Looks like a great film. All the NYC screenings are full though. :(
- irresolute, on 10/27/2007, -0/+0egh, 74 cities and no Louisville. I've got to move.
- kurejibitch, on 10/27/2007, -3/+1God, do I ***** agree with you. Seattlites all the way. I HATE having to add the, "No, the ACTUAL Washington, like, Washington STATE" at the end of every obligatory, "So where are you from?"
- omoshiroi, on 10/28/2007, -5/+1I wonder if it will follow the original closely or loosely.
- BrokenVisage, on 11/01/2007, -14/+2Agreed. Unfunny, sentimental garbage LMS was.
- hagingtree, on 11/01/2007, -20/+7Little Miss Sunshine was garbage, one of the worst movies of the year. Hopefully this isnt anything like it.
