- rrbaker, on 01/15/2009, -0/+37Yeah at this point don't hold your breath. They'll have Michael Bay on the next one. X-Men 4: ***** Blows Up.

- soogy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26X4: X-Men on a Plane. I hope Bryan Singer comes back to direct.
- Herffinator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22what about nightcrawler where the heck was he???
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22In Hollywood, the way a franchise works is that if it makes money, they will continue making sequels. Whether they deserve to be made or not.
X-Men 3 is a hit, only someone extremely niave would think they're not going to milk an X-Men 4 out of this franchise. They will continue milking it until they grind it into the ground and it is no longer making $$$. So there may very well be an X-Men 5. You keep paying, they'll keep making them. Can you resist? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16I wonder if $107 million in first three days made him think twice. Hahaha
They better let Bryan Singer write and direct this one. - clydeiii, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17X-Men 4: Weekend at Logan's

- McZiggz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14IF YOU DON'T STAY PAST THE CREDITS IN XMEN 3 - you miss out on a major scene which leads you to understand the obviousness that there will be a 4
- MachDelta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Just a note: Rogue actually tells Wolverine her real name in the first X-Men.
- clydeiii, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14X-Men 4: Back in the Habit
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12The only scene that bothered me was at the end when magneto lifts the bridge up and the sun is out and bright, two seconds later its pitch black and the sky is cloudy. Wait about 3 more minutes of battling and the sky is clear and the moon is out, I just wish the director / artist could have made up his/her mind.
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12It's a superhero movie, how much acting can you possibly have?
Wolverine: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! - JerMe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12X-Men 4: Marvel vs. Capcom (part 1).

- painisaillusion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Long as they add Gambit I will watch it.
- forumreader, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16Nitpick a little more, fanboy.
10. Rogue telling her name
- Why would this bother enough to actually list it? It was a character moment, deal with it.
9. The surprise at the end
- I thought it was a nice touch, thought it would have been better if SPOILER Charles would have moved a chess piece in response to Erik's move /SPOILER
8. Phoenix's back story
-Could have been done a little better, but the flashback was pretty well done.
7. Juggernaut
- Outside of his dumb dialogue, which just about every character suffered from, he was done just fine.
6. Iceman and Pyro's fight at the end. Did you see all the fog? Pyro wouldn't have stood for a second.
- Are you Pyro's brother? How do you know how much fog he can take? I wasn't aware we were dealing with an expert in mutant fog resilience.
5. They managed to make Kitty Pryde boring and uninteresting.
- She was like 10 years old, you want her whipping out quippy one liners like everyone else?
4. Mistique
- What did you want to see her do, change into more/less people?
3. Rogue taking the 'cure'
- I don't think she took the cure.
2. Wolverine not smoking throughout the entire movie
- Riiiiiiight
1. The list of characters that appeared in the credits, that were NOT in the movie. Psyloche? Jubilee? OMEGA ***** RED?
- Somebody else already called you on this, but they were all in the movie.
Try to come up with some real points next time. - pmcall221, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9X-Men 4: Electric Boogaloo
- ketsugi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I wouldn't mind a Marvel Universe movie... get the casts of X-Men, Fantastic 4 and Spider-man together and do something.
It wouldn't even need to have a plot. Geeks would be foaming at the mouth just to see the pretty pictures. - quicksilver, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11isn't that a porn flick :O
- Artemis11, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11After I saw how good X3 did at the box office, I knew they'd do anouther. =) Can't wait.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I always thought of "The Last Stand" not as the end...but as an expression...
"The last stand humans make against mutants...let the war begin" - RAT-Man, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8January 26, 2006 in big 'ole letters, and the guy still missed it.
I remember watching the interview on IESB.net where Rothman mentioned that X-Men: The Last Stand was the culmination of "this" trilogy and that there is the certain possibility of future installments.
If a $107 million dollar opening and possible $250-$300 million finish isn't enough of a reason to make X-Men 4 (with the young X-Men and other characters), then nothing will be. - Rooster.boy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6The movie didn't live up to the last two in my opinion. All the Dell and Mercedes advertising started to bother me a little after I saw my tenth Dell LCD and after they over emphasized the new GL. I also loved how it's suddenly night when Magneto puts down the bridge...Another thing was that the Mercedes GL turned it's headlights on as soon as it suddenly became night, since the terrified people in the car had nothing better to do than turn the headlights on...
- Angelus2k6, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Maybe Joss Whedon will get the nod to write and direct X4? They already rippied off half the plot from Astonihing Xmen :) . The best thing about X3 was Kitty Pryde aka shadow Kat
- Corr0sive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I knew they were going to make a fourth by the seven second "coda" as mentioned in a digg story about X3. Gambit would be freakin awesome to see as long as they don't put Jubilee(spelling?) in it, she has the worst power ever. I wonder when Apocalypse, Sinister, Bishop, and Cable come in...
- millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Wait, what's so great about Bryan Singer? Weren't you all bitching about how he butchered the X-Men universe with his first two X-Men movies back when they came out??? I think the only reason people want Singer back is simply because he was replaced, and don't like change.
Or was I thrown into some Marvel alterverse where those who bashed Signer in the past now praised him?? I'll bet you guys also think Joel Schmaker should have done Batman Begins, too. - RobbieCrash, on 10/12/2007, -11/+16Almost everything about X3 was weak. X4 won't be able to use half of the crucial characters. No Rogue, Magneto, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Professor X...
Spoilers below:
Top ten dumb things about X3:
10. Rogue telling her name
9. The surprise at the end
8. Phoenix's back story
7. Juggernaut
6. Iceman and Pyro's fight at the end. Did you see all the fog? Pyro wouldn't have stood for a second.
5. They managed to make Kitty Pryde boring and uninteresting.
4. Mistique
3. Rogue taking the 'cure'
2. Wolverine not smoking throughout the entire movie
1. The list of characters that appeared in the credits, that were NOT in the movie. Psyloche? Jubilee? OMEGA ***** RED?
Top 5 good things about the movie:
5. Mystique was super hot
4. Juggernaut actually saying 'I'm the juggernaut bitch.' Go internet!
3. SOAP trailer and the dude who called out "***** snakes on a ***** plane" and the shocked gasps of the parents in the theatre.
2. When Beast actually said a line that could've come from the comics.
1. Cyclops getting killed off early so that I didn't have to listen to him be a whiney bitch the whole movie. - Asin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11That January date for the article doesn't really help all the rumours that this _is_ the last movie.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6What's that phrase again? Oh right.... "milking the cash cow"
- thegreyfox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6@millixaw
Shouldn't that be:
X-men 5: the search for X-Men 4: The Search for More Money - cjdaniel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Wolverine not smoking? Maybe not throughout the rest of the movie, but I distinctly recall his smoking quite a bit in the beginning scene.
- LUElinks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Interesting to note that the article was made in January.
- juanbobo808, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The product placement was a little excessive, that's for sure. I didn't seem to notice the Mercedes stuff, but the Dell LCDs got a little ridiculous towards the end of the movie.
- roadies, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Well how the hell is Fox going to produce them, when Marvel is funding its own movie studio to produce movies for all their licenses from now on (X-Men included). Makes me wonder if Rattner was the final straw for Marvel deciding to go in-house with all their movies.
- Jaxim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I think Sawyer from Lost would make an excellent Gambit. Plus, they'd probably make even more money with the girlfriend's of X-Men fans wanting to go see the actor too.
- Kupotek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The two main things that bugged me about X3 were:
1. No one seemed effected by Scott's death, even Jean, who in the comics ends up destroying a universe out of guilt for killing him -- although to be frank the comic that comes from was What If #27, What if Phoenix Had Not Died?
2. Phoenix didnt have her badass look from the comics, the crimson and molten gold costume wiuth the phoenix emblem, and fiery eyes, also they never explained how she can come back to life, hence the name Phoenix
They made her look more like night of the living dead than how i ever saw her from the comics as Phoenix or Dark Phoenix. - soundboy64, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4As far as I know Alan Cumming who plays Nightcrawler left when Ratner came on because he knew Ratner would ruin the film... And I think Guy Pearce would be an awesome Gambit...
- achoi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5X-Men 4: A Jerry Bruckheimer production starring: Nicholas Cage and Sean Connery
I'm fine with it, as long as they don't make it retarded, like adding nipples to the costumes (like batman's)
Or let Joel Schumacker direct. Or Uwe Boll. - millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4^^ First Wolverine has to rip off his shirt. It's not an X-Men movie without uninterrupted, pure shirtless Hugh Jackman footage. Singer preferred him with chest hair, though (the new director made him shave it off).
- Sal42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i haven't been reading too much of the new stuff. which parts were taken from Astonishing X-Men? I thought this whole movie was old plots from the comics and cartoon from years ago, except in the comics it was Apocalypse that developed the cure and Rogue took it so she could be with Gambit, not Iceman. plus Juggernaught and Phoenix weren't mutants in the original, but that was a change that actually helped i think.
i hope for X4 we get Emma Frost, Bishop, and Gambit. would also be nice to have brief cameo for Forge. - stealthyninja, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Huh? "The Movie Blog"? How did this excuse for an "article" which doesn't cite any other source(s) except for some quote supposedly given by Tom Rothman get so many diggs? Did any of you people who dugg it actually read it, or just digg it on the strength of the tiny description along with the headline? The "article" doesn't even mention anything new. As far as I know, this news certainly hasn't officially been confirmed just yet, even though it's expected, given that it was stated that plans to go ahead with X-Men IV would commence if X-Men III was a success (which, financially, it certainly has been proving to be).
- Guspaz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Umm, inaccurate anyone? Did anybody notice the data on this article? January 26th.
"Now that "X-Men: The Last Stand" is out, Fox Head Tom Rothman has confirmed that there will indeed be an X-Men 4, and probably more after that as well."
Now that the movie is out? As I said, this article is four months old! And it isn't exactly very reliable. Some website claims that a movie exec said something, and it's reported here as fact? Huh? Am I the only one who thinks this is bogus enough to report as inaccurate? - richstyles, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Maybe they can branch out into porn.
