- B3000, on 05/27/2008, -2/+48Hooray! More remakes!!! I am so excited! Between all these, the Plan 9 remake, the Friday the 13th remake, The Dune remake, The Pac Man movie and Ridley Scott's Monopoly movie, I am eagerly awaiting the next few years of fantastic, original cinema.
just in case... /sarcasm - OliversDigg, on 05/27/2008, -1/+45Christopher Lambert + Sean Connery = classic
- uberkling, on 05/27/2008, -1/+32NEW. *****. IDEAS.
Try them Hollywood. You might be surprised. - shauncorleone, on 05/27/2008, -0/+27No, Frylock. The Highlander was a documentary, and the events happened in real time.
- NeoCortex, on 05/27/2008, -0/+27Because the Highlander sequels were so good, they figure it's time to revisit the original.
- ihavebeenseen, on 05/27/2008, -1/+21there should be only one
- hamishmacdonald, on 05/27/2008, -0/+20Hollywood eats its young, poos them out, eats them again...
- bjs3171, on 05/27/2008, -1/+20"With Iron Man showing that a movie can prominently feature a man being propelled into the heavens on a rocket, and make a bajillion dollars, it's apparently okay again to show a man inside a rocket being propelled into the heavens as well"
Yes. How the ***** did they know? Iron Man was sucessful because it featured a rocket. It had nothing to do with the fact that it was just a good story, good script, and an awesome actor. It was the rocket. ***** jackasses. - dn11, on 05/27/2008, -0/+19Highlander "remake"... so it has come to this....
- socialdork, on 05/27/2008, -2/+21there can be only one
- g0thm0g, on 05/27/2008, -0/+17Let's hope they do a better job with Flash Gordon than the recently failed SciFi Channel show did. That was painful to watch at times.
- HubrisDeadPan, on 05/27/2008, -0/+17Weird, cause the movies retconned things a lot, and aside from the first movie, they were all bad. The series was actually good and followed a steady storyline without jumping the shark.
- curseoflou, on 05/27/2008, -0/+17there can be only one err... twenty remakes.
- slantyeyed, on 05/27/2008, -0/+16Whatever happened to writers?
- corryface, on 05/27/2008, -0/+13i have a sneaky suspicion that the film will be *****
- dafragsta, on 05/27/2008, -1/+13Leave Highlander alone!
- inactive, on 05/27/2008, -0/+11I love the original Flash Gordon movie but the new sci fi series I thought was *****. Some things are just better left alone...
- telepheedian, on 05/27/2008, -0/+10Queen fans rejoice!
- Thumper13, on 05/27/2008, -1/+10Why couldn't this have been a link to The Onion.
Hollywood:Keeping me away from the theater most of the year.
Good Job! - MisterFurious, on 05/27/2008, -0/+9THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY ONE!!!!!
- hansolo, on 05/27/2008, -0/+8It's good to see Hollywood get on the recycling bandwagon to save our environment.
It would hurt our heads to see new original cinema.
/sarcasm - SuperVepr308, on 05/27/2008, -0/+8Highlander was a great flick that should have stopped when it was ahead. The sequels were groan-inducing since the story was finished in the first one. Is nothing safe anymore? Are they going to redo Alien next? WTF?
- ThatEvilGuy, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7Hollywood disgusts me more and more.
Highlander is an absolute ***** classic! with an awesome Queen soundtrack. There is absolutely no need to remake it whatsoever.
The movie is brilliant, Connery, Lambert and Brown play beautifuly,
Who is going to be Kurgan? Clancy Brown IS the ***** Kurgan.

***** you Hollywood, ***** you. - MiddleOfNowhere, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7That first movie was the only classy, amazing, breathtaking thing in this whole messy, confused, let's-get-rich-franchise.
And now?
A "more romantic Highlander" that will "stress Connor MacLeod's love for a non-immortal woman"?
Someone please shoot me. Or the people making this. I don't care. - scairborn, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7But I thought there could only be ONE Highlander!
- HiJason, on 05/27/2008, -5/+12Who is the 21st century version of Lambert??? "Clive Owen" is my pick :)
- curseoflou, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7busy chasing internet dollars.
- DickyT83, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7It's better to burn than fade away!
- elizabethb221, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6The only one I care about is 'The Picture of Dorian Gray.'
That book is great. - Gauthic, on 07/09/2008, -1/+7*sigh* what's next; a live action Smurfs movie?
- addysonclark, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6You know there is a reply button.
- SuperVepr308, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6"Hi, I am Candy".
"Of course you are..." - AsSubtleAsABrik, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6Already done (NSFW):
http://www.redtube.com/8399 - FecalHurler, on 05/27/2008, -2/+8Already happened. A few times.
- RicardoWilliams, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6Who is the 21st century version of Lambert???
- cmw72, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6Lets not forget Clancy Brown, who had the best line in the whole movie:
"Ramirez was an effete snob! He died on his knees. I took his head and raped his woman before his blood was even cold. .... Ah, I see. Ramirez lied. She was not his woman. She was *your* woman. And she never told you. I wonder why. Perhaps I gave her something you never could, and secretly she yearned for my return." - drgmdp, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6dugg for the pacman movie
- ihavebeenseen, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5One of the greatest attributes of the original Flash Gordon is the music. Who would you suppose they should let create the music for the remake (if they make it god help them)?
- cawpin, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5Hey jackass, it's "There can be only one." If you're gonna quote something, get it right.
- bosssmiley, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5You are not alone in your suspicions.
- LargeTrout, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6I'd definitely get off my ass for a Plan 9 remake, but only if they follow the original script which made the film so great. Oh, and one of the actors has to die halfway through filming only to be replaced by some guy who never shows his face. Brilliantly done Ed Wood.
- bluntphallus, on 05/27/2008, -3/+8Please tell me I'm not the only one hoping that they don't ***** Highlander up completely.
- WrldsWrstDigger, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4Flash..woo..ohhh..He'll save everone of us!!!
- steelclash84, on 05/27/2008, -1/+5It's as if they adopted Nintendo's ideology of making memorable characters and putting them in new settings each iteration. While this works O.K. with games, not so well with movies.
- Theli, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4They'd better play "Princes of the Universe" in the beginning of this Highlander remake.
- oDin420, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4oh thats hot!
- Smaulz, on 05/27/2008, -2/+5Hell, leave 'em BOTH alone! There's zero chance of making a Flash Gordon that can even remotely compete with the original!
- Andrwmorph, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3Lambert is still alive!
- FecalHurler, on 05/27/2008, -1/+4Whoa a Monopoly movie? What?
- VitaminH, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3In other words: We're out of ideas! Let's just remake old ***** with new special effects!
