and then he escapes, gets a rifle, and fights his way off the island
he may or may not die at the end jumping off a cliff, it may or may not all be a fantasy while he's in his cell

- DemDude, on 06/11/2009, -3/+29I've got to admit, Gangs Of New York could have been much better, but still - it's got a whole bunch of scenes that make the movie an unforgettable experience. The fight in the beginning and the bombing alone make up for all the little bad parts in it.
Everything else though - absolutely amazing. Scorcese knows what he's doing, he is definitely one of the Top Ten in the business. And DiCaprio is an amazing actor as well. Very intense, and he doesn't stick to the pretty boy roles as you'd expected after Titanic.
Also, I'm really looking forward to seeing what Scorcese can do with that Vincent Chase kid, I wasn't the biggest fan of his acting in Medellin. - nunofgs, on 06/11/2009, -0/+22Didn't you see Leonardo dressed in prisoner uniform and going crazy? It's obvious that he's the 67th patient.

Nothing really outstanding. It's actually surprisingly to see Scorsese using those lame editing tricks like random flashes of light and scream tracks. Nothing new to see here. Let's hope the story makes up for it.

- Rogpog777, on 06/11/2009, -0/+12It's Scorsese guys, he's one of those smart directors who will give you just enough to make assumptions, then he'll throw your assumptions out a window and into the oncoming traffic on highway your apartment is overlooking, then get out of one of the cars which runs over your assumptions, beat them to death with a plot twist (looks like it's gonna be one of his twist movies) and finally shoot you in the face. In a realistic fashion, mind you.

Not to mention a few other notables, with director Scorsese. Can't wait to see a horror/thriller with acting/directing of this caliber.
