- Kuci06, on 08/16/2009, -6/+74Are we going to see blue dongs in this movie too?
- dittonara, on 08/17/2009, -3/+64another pic : http://alturl.com/94o7
- skcs991, on 08/16/2009, -0/+52It appears T-shirts have survived centuries into the future.
- LordNerd, on 08/16/2009, -2/+37Is that the last airbender in a tube?
- AmyVernon, on 08/17/2009, -0/+28They are awfully comfy.
- bjorshol, on 08/16/2009, -0/+27No, it's Pandora. Pandorum is the sci-fi movie with Ben Foster.
- FullMetalNIN, on 08/17/2009, -0/+26Its like a few months until its release and they've posted 1 picture. Insanity!
- ophello, on 08/17/2009, -1/+25No no...its Panda-rama. They're giant pandas. With shurikens.
- newman8r, on 08/17/2009, -0/+19ahahaa please god no....
- diggerado, on 08/17/2009, -1/+16You want confusion? Try checking out this pic while thinking that the "Avatar" they were talking about was based on the cartoon. How they go from elemental martial arts to marines and elves will break your brain.
- ahtu, on 08/17/2009, -0/+14Better than silver spandex or whatever ridiculous futuristic clothes alot of sci-fi movies use.
- yocouchdigga, on 08/17/2009, -2/+14Pretty sure it's called "reply"...
- DaemonNivas, on 08/17/2009, -0/+12Elves in space! YEY!
- terminal157, on 08/17/2009, -0/+11I would pay to see that.
- pitdog, on 08/17/2009, -2/+12"It features Sam Worthington’s wheelchair-bound Marine Jake Sully, standing in front of his genetically engineered Na’avian host body...." hmm
- SeinfeldQuote, on 08/17/2009, -0/+10"From January to April 2006, Cameron worked on the script. Working with Paul Frommer, linguist and Director of the Center for Management Communication at USC, he developed a whole language and culture for the Na'vi, the indigenous race on Pandora."
dang, its hard enough creating a good script, let alone having to go back in and fill in the "alien talk" with a new language - solecize, on 08/17/2009, -0/+9yes- it is now a cultural meme- blue dongs are the new *****.
- terminal157, on 08/17/2009, -0/+9From what I've heard about it (and I admit this is a rumor), it's the effects themselves that are going to shake things up. It's supposed to be another leap forward in film making technology. Who knows, we'll see. But I don't think what your friend saw has much bearing on the anticipation for the movie.
- ButchersBoy, on 08/17/2009, -0/+9lol
- inactive, on 08/17/2009, -0/+9i've never even heard about this movie.
- JackSrenton, on 08/17/2009, -1/+9Im getting the feeling James Cameron is about to blow our damn minds. Again.
- acidshred, on 08/17/2009, -0/+8If this film isn't the best thing ever, people are going to be pissed.
Tis a good year for Sci Fi, Star Trek, District 9, Watchmen, Moon and Avatar. - skcs991, on 08/17/2009, -0/+8Too true.
- Coven, on 08/17/2009, -1/+9Damn you George Lucas! Damn you straight to hell!!!
- jhos1991, on 08/17/2009, -0/+8First time ive see "Epic" without "FAIL" written behind it on DIGG.
- kthoma22, on 08/17/2009, -0/+7When will he make Aquaman?
- Newscast, on 08/17/2009, -2/+8For real. Who thought it was a good idea to make a movie called Avatar AND a movie called The Last Airbender at the same time. I hadn't realized they were different movies until this post.
- Oztog, on 08/17/2009, -1/+7I hope the ***** drowns.
- Bulk70, on 08/17/2009, -0/+6A little for column A, a little for column B
- bana76, on 08/17/2009, -1/+6That's a future I can get behind.
***** "modern" MC Hammer pants, though? No, thank you! - ophello, on 08/17/2009, -0/+5Perhaps the movie?
- Larssonk22, on 08/17/2009, -0/+5people's sarcasm detectors must be bust today.
- newman8r, on 08/17/2009, -0/+5there was that story about epic hail recently, but I'm not sure anybody used that exact terminology... baseball sized hail is pretty epic if you ask me
- Fred3426, on 08/17/2009, -0/+5I lol'd.
- patho, on 08/17/2009, -0/+5What's David Bowie doin' in that tank?
- longzheng, on 08/17/2009, -1/+5Took me a second, but I eventually got it :P
- gunderoo, on 08/17/2009, -0/+4i want to see pics of that soaring winged velociraptor.

- bubbameister33, on 08/16/2009, -0/+4Lol.

- Yage2006, on 08/18/2009, -0/+3Well played sir.
- AdamAndEveIt, on 08/17/2009, -1/+4is this film live action or CG?
- masterkenobi, on 08/17/2009, -0/+3They actually showed a fair amount of footage at this year's Comic Con, my first impressions was that the story reminded me of Pocahontas. But the CGI they showed was pretty damn amazing.
- inefekt, on 08/17/2009, -0/+3haha don't you love it when ***** nuts like this pretend to know in advance how good or bad a movie is going to be, before it's even released, before a trailer has even been released FFS!!!!!!
- inactive, on 08/17/2009, -2/+5Actually a second image from the film has been released too
http://tinyurl.com/r2bgbw - Fred3426, on 08/18/2009, -0/+3If you think about it, making both movies simultaneously isn't a complete boneheaded move. Kids might show up at the theater and go "OMG IM SOOO EXCITED FOR THE AVATAR MOVIE I LOVE THE TV SHOW!!!!!1!!" or something and order tickets for Avatar, only to end up buying tickets for the wrong movie.
Thus, James Cameron makes money from people who are uninterested in his film.
That's just one possible idea, mind you.
And diggerado's situation happened to me. - Fred3426, on 08/17/2009, -3/+6Oh...I thought this was about The Last Airbender.
- ophello, on 08/17/2009, -6/+9My friend saw a pre-screening, before the effects were finished. The film had yet to be scored. He said it was good, but that it wasn't going to shake the foundations of the Earth, like so many love to imagine. I suggest we all stop freaking out about this film and drooling when they throw us a bone.
- inactive, on 08/17/2009, -0/+3Nope he was the guy from Terminator 4, the main character who had to play second fiddle to Christian Bale.
- DRNOOO, on 08/21/2009, -0/+2This is the movie James Cameron has been working on for more than 10 years and spent more than $200 million dollars? Wow who have thunk it ! Turns out it's just a bunch of blue cartoons? Cheated much ?
This thing looks faker than that stripper's third tit in Total Recall. Even the real humans look fake! -
