- INHUMANITY, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Dugg specifically for the amazing following this show has. I purchased the Firefly series last year and still have not watched it. I guess I cannot get enough of all my Star Trek DVD's.
The fan base for this saga is amazing. There are always new and intriguing stories about what fans have done or are doing to keep this shows legacy alive.- hooray4Zoidberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20I finally got around to watching Firefly about a month ago and I absolutely loved it. I was a big Buffy and Angel fan so I expected to enjoy it. I was just hesitant to get into because it was a cancelled show. I'm still feeling the loss of Angel after a simply excellent 5th season, where they really got the show rolling again.
I hope this hardcore following leads to another firefly series. But I"d be happy if they just keep making new movies. - schmichael, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Watch it. Its the best sci-fi show to come out in years.
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13The two best sci-fi shows in the last five years have been Firefly and the new Battlestar Galactica. I'd have to flip a coin to decide which is better.
/Take my love, take my land... - etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I love BSG... great show - but Firefly is on a whole other level of greatness... it's just too bad it wasn't very accessible to the public. I preordered this DVD, so I'm anxious to see it. Dugg just cuz... we haven't had a decent Firefly story in a while. ;)
You can't stop the signal. - Haplo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4I watched the movie (Serenity) and am now watching the series. It reminds me a lot of Farscape. Only minus point to me is the music :-) If you haven't seen Farscape, make sure you watch a few episodes.

- SlashNot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7o yea I got mine coming.
- ExoticFish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4i pre-ordered this documentary back in Febuary as soon as I heard about it. Just got the email this morning about this annoucement and man am i excited.
- SlashNot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5yea I got the email 2, this is going to be a great Dvd
- etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Love the cover of the DVD. This is the first time I've seen it, actually.
- hubbacm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3After almost a full year of waiting, it's finally done! This is going to be a truly amazing Documentary with an obscene amount of special features and easter eggs. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.
- Splitter402, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Excellent! I got around to making a PayPal for this back in January.
- lax01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Digged for all the hard work you guys did
- c5mjohn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Thank goodness its done! That cover is awesome!
- banjk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That looks great. I will be getting a copy. Can't stop the signal, eh?
- GuyHitByTruck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3With that much content, I thought this thing was gonna be expencive, but $23.95 ain't bad.
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2'Bout farking time. I paid for mine ten months ago.
But it will be worth it from what I've seen. - theprizefight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Serenity now!
- CatDaddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Pre-ordered mine too!!! Can't wait.
- BrowncoatJedi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I loves me some Firefly.
- LacY, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14What I find so interesting about Firefly is that NO ONE I've met that has seen Firefly, doesn't love it. There are people who haven't seen it, but to a one, every friend that I loaned my DVDs of the season, they all now love it. Even the friends that I have who's normal TV viewing include crap like Real World and The Bachelor, who never would have thought they'd like a sci-fi or a western, let alone a sci-fi Western... they all love it (and have their own copies of the show and Serenity).
That's what shows Joss is a genius. Now if Fox could have just gotten people to WATCH Firefly... - foxmuldr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Firefly ... hands down the best Sci-Fi series ever.
Serenity, an excellent movie...
Excellent characters, plot lines, themes, writing, everything. It is missed by this man.
- Rick C. Hodgin - Felian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Dugg. Incredible show just like all of Joss's work but I would have to say my favorite. The fact that a cancelled show became a feature film is a testament to the fan base and what they were able to achieve even when they seemingly sprung up overnight on such a short run show. Maybe Its just me and my crazy logic but isnt a show that creates a fanbase that quickly worth keeping around?
I cant imagine the person who it came to make the final decision to cancel the show. I wonder if theyre kicking themselves in the arse or if they have someone do it for them?- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Its fox, since when has logic ever played a part in how they do business?
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Its fox, since when has logic ever played a part in how they do business?
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3It's a really bad title, in my opinion.
But, the DVD looks good and it's really awesome how much dedication Firefly fans have.- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6The title comes from a line in the show. "We've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty."
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2But, why is the title just "done the impossible".........why not "we have done the impossible"?
"done the impossible" just sounds like a fragment of a phrase - LacY, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2That's because "done the impossible" IS a fragment of a phrase. :-) I agree, though--the title isn't the best. Give me a subject for my sentence! But then, I'm kinda a grammar nazi, so...
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2LacY---
So should all tv/movie/book/whatever titles be gramatically correct sentences, complete with subjects, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, and so forth?
;P
- Raynos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Firefly is truly a spectacular story, and this documentary shows us the story behind the story. How the cast and crew are just like us, Browncoats who want to see our favorite show continue on.
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I just purchased mine then :)
dam $33 australian instead of $20
but it will be worth it - enclave2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3funniest Sci-Fi show I've ever watched. dry and blunt. Plus kaylie is my dream girl from that other space show. On Nickelodeon. I forget the name but I'm pretty sure she was the first girl I though did not have cuddies.
- sulle1883, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Space Cases. (And Flash Forward on Disney, with that guy from The Last Stand...)
- Thorandor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Excellent series, dugg, and pre-ordered :)
- darkroastbeans, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4My favorite three sci-fi series: Farscape, Firefly, Battlestar Gallactica (new series)
- blacklilyninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7so
they did it with futurama....lets bring back firefly. Its definitely better than reality tv. However If the networks put sound in the vacuum of space again.... Im not a geek but sometimes the sound of an explosion in the vacuum of space really bothers me. At least these guys did it right. Battlestar Galactica seems to have the right idea too.- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4dont forget family guy coming back after massive sales of DVD's
- jinexile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's easy to bring back a cartoon, it's a lot more difficult to bring back a tv series (getting 9 actors/actresses is a logistical nightmare.) It helps that they killed off two of the main characters in the movie but still 7 is a lot.
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2true, but not so much when they are nearly all wanting for it to come back
- stark23x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg and pre-ordered. Nice catch.
- tallera257, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2OMG! I didn't even know this DVD was in the works until it popped up on my Digg RSS.....this is awesome!!!!!! Just pre-ordered me a copy and can't wait to see it. I miss Firefly so much.....I re-watch the series and movie DVD's at least once a month. It's bittersweet, though, because most of the stories are left unfinished.
Yeah, I know it's obsessive and freaky, but I like me that way. ;)
Anybody heard whether there's any possibility of additional movies, or (crosses fingers) a revival of the series in the works? Things have been pretty quiet since the Big D*mn Movie left theatres.... - dsxmakina, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Saw Firefly for the first time last year right before the movie came out. Man! Did I miss out!
Had to buy the series....see the movie....buy the DVD.....even bought the damn soundtrack. Now I'm gonna have to buy this too. It's just not enough.
To The Producers That Be: I don't watch a lot of tv, I don't collect a lot of DVDs, I'm not a fanboy. But I do spend time and money on what I like....and this is worth it. - djAnakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Can't wait till my copy gets here.
- djAnakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Anyone have any idea when it's gonna be shipping!? I can't find it anywhere.
- djAnakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nevermind. Completely scanned right over it.
"And now for the news you probably been waiting for. A release date!...sort of. Barring any unforeseen tragedies, we will be shipping DVDs *BEFORE* Comic-Con on July 20th (yes this year... sheesh), probably sooner."
Thats this week. Sweet! - tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Should begin shipping between today and the 25th. Hopefully we will all have them in a couple of weeks.
- FaTony, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, according to Jeremy down below here, the discs will be shipped today
- djAnakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nevermind. Completely scanned right over it.
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hopefully we will all have them in a couple of weeks.
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Obviously haven't quite nailed down the subtle intricacies of the edit feature quite yet...
- Zaphrod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Nothing gets me angrier than a story about Firefly. I want to see the rest of it but some numb-nuts at FOX cancels the best show I have ever seen period let alone the best Sci-Fi show. It wasn't about Space and Sci-Fi, it was interesting story lines with a great cast in a space/sci-fi/western setting that was extremely unique and very addictive television.
- jaysedai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8The discs arrived back from the replicator TODAY! There's nothing quite like holding a years worth of work in your hands. :) We will begin shipping discs out later today, in the order in which they were received. We should have them all out the door in about a week. Also to those that have already ordered, thank you. Be sure to check out the DVD-ROM.

wwww.donetheimpossible.com - tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dude, you rock. I was about to email you this to make sure you saw it and here you show up out of the blue. I love the cover, cannot wait until I have mine in my own grubby little hands.
- tdp05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Heard about this ages ago, but didn't know what to expect. After seeing the story, I just bought one.
- Darkness123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You got to love the Power Of The Nerds :D
I am a Firefly Fan, not a fantatic fan I like the show, I got the opening theme as my cells ringtone.
Luckly a friend of mine a huger fan of Firefly than me and I know we will be buying the DVD and I think I might borrow it if its anygood order it myself.- mikemcewan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1...
- falafelboy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Waiting for the torrent and buying when I get a job!
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Get a job. The dude that work on this really put a lot of effort into it, over a year's worth of worth. Twenty bucks is a sixpack and a couple of packs of smokes.
- falafelboy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2What a useless statement. Like I said, when I have money, I will buy it.
Dont tell me to get a job, when Im in the process of starting a business.
Nothing wrong with downloading. - Mudb0y, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1other than being illegal?
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Mad props to ya falafelboy for starting up your own business. Hope you never have any customers to decide to take what is yours and pay for it when and if they get around to it, like you say you intend to do with this DVD set. And yeah, there is nothing wrong with downloading the same way there is nothing wrong with shoplifting.
- falafelboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Just in case some people get confused, downloading is LEGAL in canada.
And without bittorrent, I would never heard of BSG and Firefly, and would have never spent any money on purchasing these dvd's.
In other words, bittorrent leads to higher profit for companies/copyright holders, not less.
- TidePoolFunk, on 10/12/2007, -18/+1Let it go already, firefly sucked serenity sucked.
Props to the "fan" for getting you ***** idiots to give him your money.- Mudb0y, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, Props to the "fan" because the proceeds go to charity.
- tinktanker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Wow, it took 56 comments for the first real troll to appear.
- dallen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Just finished watching Firefly the series last night. I drew it out because I knew once I finished them that was it. It is my favorite SciFi show of all time. I care deeply about each and every character on that show (even Jayne) and my life is now just a little bit darker knowing that there will be no more.
- jaysedai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Sorry our site is down. If you are interested in ordering, please please email jeremy *at* neish.com and I'll let you know when it's back up. (And no, it wasn't the digg effect, the power went out at our ISP and they hadn't maintained their backup generator and it's not working either. LAME!)

donetheimpossible.com- funkytaco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I work at a data center if you're looking for a new one. ;) I also run http://serenityhost.com if you all need webhosting.
- mikemcewan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My buddy was one of the main guys involved in the project. He gave me a screener a couple weeks ago and its really good! I can't believe how much time/energy went into making this project, but it is very professional and well done. If you like Firefly/Serenity you'll like this.
- MilesTeg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2preordered, informed friend... watching Firefly - again :-)
- wisebob134, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That Documentry is going to be sweet
- EdTheUniqueGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Does anyone know if this DVD documentary will be sold at DragonCon in September?
Please email me.
ecrosby@theuniquegeek.com - djAnakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1w00t! got my copy today!
- jaysedai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes we will be at comic con, selling copies.
- jaysedai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Er, ah I mean Dragon*Con (we just got back from Comic Con)
- bmcnally, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have a confession to make . . . the first time I saw Serenity, it was illegally downloaded.
Saw it. Rewatched it. Went to the library and got the Firefly collection. Bought them all. Wheldon is a genius, the storyline is classic sci-fi, and the cast just meshed with their parts perfectly. FOX is making a big mistake in not re-running Firefly, just watch the Sci-Fi channel sign a contract and have their ratings numbers skyrocket. - jumpvine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well... I've never thought it is for real.
