  • MrSketch, on 07/10/2009, -1/+6Time line error? It mentions that scholars estimate that Moses received the tablets from God around 1440BC (for the movie The Ten Commandments), then later for Prince of Egypt, it says that scholars estimate that Moses was born around 1100BC.

    I assume the idea is that they're saying that, historically, the man who received the 10 Commandments and the man who led the Hebew people out of Egypt were two different men. Otherwise, they're saying Moses lived negative four hundred years.

  • earthforce1, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3What about Battlestar Galactica? Didn't they renounce technology and settle on a primative earth? I suppose technically it was a TV series, not a film, but still nicely fits into the timeline.

    They could have included the 1966 film "The Bible" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060164/ which ran out of money after they filmed the book of Genesis.

    Around 0 AD it gets pretty crowded with all of the time of Jesus films they surprisingly omitted: (Last Temptation, Ben Hur, Life of Brian, etc. )

    Well its in a galaxy far, far away, the closest galaxy (the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy) is 24,983 light years away from earth.

    Of course it might have taken place 24,983 years ago since it was a long long time ago too. Which would mean its happening now (from our perspective).
