The series was good until they started catering to the female audience and turned it into a soap opera instead of a battle to the end.

I liked the first one a lot, but 2 was ***** HORRIFIC, even in the "renegade version", 3 was better but still kinda *****, and honestly I never even bothered with any after that point. I saw bits and pieces of the show on TV, and a small piece of the crossover movie with the TV show McCloud and the movie McCloud but I could only stomach 5 minutes of that before I had to move on down the dial...
That being said, if they actually did a respectful remake and gave us a good series of film then I wouldn't be too upset. I mean, they're gonna have a HARD ***** time doing better then Sean Connery as Ramirez...and Clancy Brown was pretty ***** great as The Kurgan, too...but I wouldn't necessarily consider the films to be one of those that I shudder to think of Hollywood touching them again.
