- Phalanxia, on 12/10/2008, -1/+27I just hope we don't get a repetition of the Joker phenomenon, with everyone donning Rorschach masks for Halloween.
- PumpItUp, on 12/10/2008, -0/+20Brownie points goes to the obsessed fanboy who somehow gets the ink on his mask to shift around
- SirBrittanicus, on 12/10/2008, -3/+21GAAAHHH ***** THE RIAA-
*ahem* iTunes. Sorry. - inactive, on 12/10/2008, -0/+17Everyone is guaranteed to be Rorschach for Halloween don't even kid yourself
- inactive, on 12/10/2008, -3/+19itunes is *****
- Phalanxia, on 12/10/2008, -5/+20Damn it. I was content being the only teenager I knew who actually knew what Watchmen was, what it stood for and why it is absolutely fantastic. Now everybody is going to like it :(
Bender comes to mind "I was hating Zoidberg before it was cool..." - c07g, on 12/10/2008, -2/+13Wow I read the book with the idea of being able to tell people "Oh the book is so much better than the movie," and from what I see from all the previews and trailers I hope I don't have to becuase it looks great.
EVERYONE READ THE NOVEL, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!! - inactive, on 12/10/2008, -2/+13Dugg for being a teenage dork, then dugg down, just so I could digg you back up for the Futurama quote.
- haxyo, on 12/10/2008, -0/+11http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7aNt6BUIfE
- noots, on 12/10/2008, -0/+10i thought about how this could be done practically. The best i could come up with was based on those t-shirts from the 80s that changed color with heat from your body.
so for the mask you'd have pre-defined sections that can be effected by heat (the rest remaining white at all times) and they'd hopefully shift shape slightly depending on how hot you are. It wouldn't look anywhere near as cool as the effect in the film.
And would probably fail. - Dagreenman, on 12/10/2008, -2/+11I still want the squid ;_;.
- darthashwin, on 12/10/2008, -2/+10This is the itunes trailer.. its 3 minutes long
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LY9LQ-4jg7Y - Paulish, on 12/10/2008, -0/+7Is there a 1080p version anywhere?
- Venemous, on 12/10/2008, -1/+8And as ***** usual, this trailer is only available in the US iTunes store........
***** APPLE AND REGIONAL RESTRICTIONS - WiretapStudios, on 12/10/2008, -0/+6Prepare to have your childhood raped. Now you know what watching Transformers is like for us older kids.
- danwallace, on 12/10/2008, -1/+7Youtube link?
- DonLinguine, on 12/10/2008, -0/+6wrong trailer
- thewhits, on 12/10/2008, -0/+6I'm still cautiously optimistic, however, since I felt the same way about the Dark Knight before it opened, and that obviously kicked ass, I think this will rock too.
And yes, everyone will be Rorschach for Halloween. - Phalanxia, on 12/10/2008, -2/+7Awesome ^_^
- 4d669, on 12/10/2008, -0/+5Dude... That's Rorschach...
Re-read the entire novel... - jedisushi, on 12/10/2008, -0/+5Dugg for more Koyaanisqatsi!
- EttAppel, on 12/10/2008, -0/+5User below posted NON itunes link.
- noizboy, on 12/10/2008, -1/+6music by philip glass?
- redlantern64, on 12/10/2008, -0/+5I'm honestly not going to object if I'm up to my ears in sexy Silk Spectres this Halloween.
- inactive, on 12/10/2008, -0/+5uh...yes.
- rollerboy, on 12/10/2008, -1/+5I'm reading Watchmen again because when I saw the first trailer I couldn't remember some of the scenes. One of my favorite part of Watchmen was the guy walking around with the "THE END IS NIGH" sign, I hope I get to see that as much as I did in the book, I love that sign.
Idea for viral marketing #327: Give homeless people "THE END IS NIGH" sings to walk around with. - 1807, on 12/10/2008, -0/+4...The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "save us!" and I'll look down and whisper "no"
- Jeremyz0r, on 12/10/2008, -0/+4Youtube HD link?
- inactive, on 12/11/2008, -0/+4But you won't be. Oh, there'll be Silk Spectres alright, but they certainly won't be attractive.
- inactive, on 12/10/2008, -1/+5Awesome! It looks like we finally get to see Batmanuel and Captain Liberty hook up! But where was American Maid?
- WiretapStudios, on 12/10/2008, -0/+3Hypercolor Balaclava.
- CaptCarrot, on 12/10/2008, -0/+3Rorschach's been showing up at Scifi conventions for years now.
- Robotsscareme, on 12/10/2008, -0/+3not that i completely dissagree with you .. but i mean.. maybe it was un filmable to gilliam because gilliam stopped being a good filmmaker some time after 12 monkeys.. have you seen some of his newer stuff??? Tideland??? ***** dude.. that was the only movie that even resembled what he could do as a film maker and that movie was not good. I think the watchmen would have worked better as a mini series on hbo or something.. but you can't say that the movie doesn't look like they got the thing at least 80% right... But i am not saying you are totally wrong until i see the *****..
- Lewiji, on 12/10/2008, -0/+3An ordinary novel is still classed as a book, why can't a graphic novel?
- EttAppel, on 12/10/2008, -1/+4Dugg for Dollar Bill !
- crushifier, on 12/10/2008, -0/+3hooded justice ftw
- TFiggs, on 12/11/2008, -0/+3***** iTunes. I can't believe they make me give up my credit card information just to see a ***** trailer. ***** Apple!
- johnroth, on 12/10/2008, -0/+2Never said it was unfilmable. He said it would not work as a feature length film unless it was three or four hours long, and would work better as a made for tv mini series.
- Kronos6948, on 12/10/2008, -0/+2LOLOL!! Batmanuel actually became mayor of Gotham in the Dark Knight. I almost peed in my pants when I saw that.
- kaiyraa, on 12/10/2008, -1/+3wrong story, bury.
- genconkeeper, on 12/10/2008, -0/+2Yes this is the 2nd trailer to use his music.
- hatdrop, on 12/10/2008, -0/+2i was thinking one of those plastic-y "3-D" surfaces, though it would definitely not feel like cloth, only move when you change the angles it's being viewed at, and i have no idea how anyone would see through it
- Nosferotu, on 12/10/2008, -1/+3Wait.... how did you... you posted... before...
This temporal confusion is quite appropriate for a Watchmen digg. - Prayer4theDying, on 12/10/2008, -0/+2It's because you only clicked the trailer button... you can "buy" the full 3 minutes (for free) if you have an iTunes account.
- markosfunk, on 12/10/2008, -1/+3I wonder if MrBabyMan receives advertising endorsements from the marketing agents behind the watchmen
- Robotsscareme, on 12/10/2008, -0/+2whats funny about that statement.is.. I believe the cut that will come to dvd WITH the black freighter parts put into it right now clocks in at about 4 hours or so.. .. so i guess gilliam was right..
