    Nah, what's sad are the Sea Org's (Scientology's private navy) naval uniforms and the fact that people wear them and take it seriously. You can find pics over at xenu.net of them.

    Makes me want to change my name to "Hari Seldon" and start *The Foundation* as a rival cult devoted to preserving all of human knowledge (we'll take over Google). Although I think Newt Gingrich has beaten me to it since he believes in psychohistory.

    They need a new title for the Emperor's guards in Star Wars fandom. They call them *Royal* guards but how exactly is Palpatine royal? He didn't have a wife/queen, to my knowledge or a royal bloodline (especially since Naboo elected its "queen"). The only reason why Vader was called "Lord Vader" is because he was a Sith Lord, not because the Empire instituted a feudalistic system...
