- sambtravis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+46Is it just me or does Tobey look like Jack Black in the fourth picture?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+40right yes.. you are correct... all the cgi in this movie totally ruins it..
they should find someone who can actually sling webs, fly from rooftops and swing like tarzan.. then find a symbiotic suit, a guy made of sand.. you know what.. its just not worth the effort.. its easier just to call you stupid.
its just a movie.. if you dont like it dont watch it. Jesus, there are just way too many comic book guy style critics on the internet anymore.
now, personally..
it looks pretty good I think, I will be in the theater to see it! - Mongoose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30Are these really new? They look like they're just screenshots from the latest trailer. I know for a fact that the last two shots of venom are from the end of that trailer.
- SwankRock3000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20These venom pictures are from the same 1 second closing scene thats been circulating around on various trailers since the summer.
Hardly exclusive, or even new. - Timmy300, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23Venom looks really good. Don't really care about Sandman though.

Congratulations, you know how to press the pause button ... - ihaveplans, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Look below and you'll see an "oh snap", too! The people digging this story are really the bottom rung of the social ladder.
- evildorko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10hey wait, you guys know this movie is made by Sony right? come on. obviously the batteries on this movie are going to explode and the cost of a ticket is going to be nearly $600, but will utilize really state of the art ticketing technologies.
- starf, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13@birkoph
Actually, Venom is the combination of the symbiote and Eddie Brock, so technically, without Eddie Brock, the symbiote is sick. But then, there is no screenshot of Venom, just the symbiote, so the post is inaccurate. - kevthecatslayer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8http://www.comingsoon.net/cgi-bin/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Toy_Fair_2007/Spider-Man&image=venomstatue4.jpg&img=&tt
SM3's Venom in statue form. - ComradeCreed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Exclusive? Wow. This was on TV, NBC.com and will end-up on every media site on the internet... in VIDEO FORM. I have the trailer and VLC Player on my computer, so if I take screenshots will everyone here Digg it? I doubt it.
Buried for inaccuracy. - LordofChaosIori, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Your mom looks like *****. Laying down or otherwise.
Sorry, that was childish of me... it's my old Venom fan-boyness coming out. - Satanael, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Allow me to be the first jackass to say,
"This is nothing new! These are just screenshots taken from the trailers that have been out for a while already! Buried as inaccurate!!" - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11OMFG, anyone care to explain to birkoph the difference between connotations and denotations?

If it doesn't work, reply and I will re-upload. - gnawph2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Still frames from the trailer.
Why didn't they get any from the 720p version? Those looked hot. - Teaboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Who are we to judge? He might really own a cucumber!
- Spartan2100, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Actually, following the comics, Harry took on the Green Goblin persona as well. The Hobgoblin is a different character (except in Ultimate, where Harry does become the Hobgoblin).
Yes, Eddie Brock is played by Topher Grace from That 70's show. I'm guessing they're referencing the Ultimate version of Eddie, who was a bit scrawnier than the original comic's body-builder version.
I'm not sure why the Sandman is important for the emergence of Venom. They may have a completely different origin for the symbiote in the movie. Your rendition is from the animated series, but the origin story in the comics is from a story arc called The Secret Wars, where Peter thought the symbiote was just a cool new costume and brought it back with him from outer space. - MicahC, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5http://www.aintitcool.com/node/31794
Check these cool pics at Ain't It Cool News before Sony takes them down. - Sazime, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5What? Venom is ill? Poor guy. Get him some Pepto.
- fatadamblog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Are there any High-Res photos because these ones look resized for bandwidth usage.
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Please stop trying to make "sick" happen.
- bashar129, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Silly submitter, nothing is exclusive when it gets on the Internet!
- biggrz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3For the last time, the symbiote by itself does not equal Venom!!
- PantlessMartyr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4http://images.craveonline.com/article_imgs/Image/S3_10_p.jpg
Did you notice the stunt double? - libertao, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5@starf
Dugg up because when I imagine that comment in Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons' voice, its hilarious. - pathetik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3*SICK*....why is Venom not feeling good ?
There There, Have some chicken soup ! - GorGenator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4No, if you read the comic, Peter uses the sound of the bell in the tower to get the symbiote to weaken so he could rip it off of him, which is what that is showing. Venom came after he ditched the symbiote, when it found Eddie Brock, who hated Peter btw.
- unimatrixZxero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4So Kevin R. how is that Picture Section coming along?
- JeffonHigh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4No, I think you're right- he does look like Jack Black!
- huckdunsany, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I dunno if this is comment abuse, but I seem to have missed the 24-hour window in which NBC was hosting the full video in HD. Can anyone kindly post a mirror? Thanks!
- JohnKappa, on 10/25/2008, -0/+2I agree - he's stacked on a few pounds
http://images.craveonline.com/article_imgs/Image/S3_4_p.jpg - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Exclusive to what? These are all just screen shots from the PUBLICLY AVAILABLE video from http://www.nbc.com/spiderman regarding their preview aired during Heroes.
By the way, that's still pre-production Venom. He was from the original leaked trailer, removed at the end due to a redesign. These are finished CGI screens from the pre-production CGI, but consider this more of a Venom "teaser" than what may be the final product. - howski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As far as I know, Harry's alter ego was Green Goblin II.
Eddie Brock *IS* the kid from That 70s Show, as you put it. Most of us know him as Topher Grace (who would have been a really great Peter Parker/Spidey!). - skyfire1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Toby really needs to work out. He's starting to look a bit tubby (no pun intended).
- totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2So why does Venom look like a cutting edge CG tour de force, and Green Goblin looks like an outtake from a Power Rangers TV show?
- geoken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, I can't believe you actually used that phrase outside the context of insulting people who use that phrase.
- Zuggy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1We all know, no one is going to see it for Spiderman, Sandman or even MJ. We're all going to see it for Venom (ok, probably MJ too).
- Rotorblade, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Its like the designers / costume guys or whatever spent all of their cash on making Venom look awesome and then just threw some old motorcycle gear together for the new Green Goblin.
- SerifTheRobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I had successfully avoided all information on Spiderman 3, like I do will all movies I care about. I knew absolutely nothing about it until I read that Venom was in it in another Digg headline. I was sort of pissed, but I know that is further than most people take it. The Battlestar Galactica situation from yesterday has got me feeling sort of vindicated, so here I am.
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Looking like *****? Laying down?
Well the article does say he looks sick. Can't you read? - bblex82, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That is awesome... nice link micahc
- racecarjones, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, Venom does look pretty sick. I think its HIV. Anyways, why is Sandman the bad guy in this one? They should of done one that regular people have heard of atleast.
- Oogler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Aren't these just shots from the trailer I saw months ago? Nothing new here. Buried.
- Gerz1219, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sandman is just in the movie to give Spidey someone to fight while the whole black suit-> Venom storyline plays out. Otherwise there'd be no action in the first two acts. Evil Harry can't hold up the first 2/3 of the movie himself.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The venom from the screenshot didn't look like I wanted. I was hoping to see the giant venom with the crazy tongue and deep voice from the animated series.
- Quirked, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As usual, to create drama, they lessen Spidey’s abilities and enhance his adversaries. In the last movie, he was hitting Doc Ock square in the face. That would have killed him. In this case, Harry is way too proficient on that flying snowboard vs Peter.
Still looks like it will be fun to watch. - KennyElendi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"We are venom."
