- mikkee07, on 05/04/2008, -8/+97Great movie. Yesterday looked it in a cinema and still impressed. Too bad that I didn't wait until the End of credits...
- sanman, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2These dialogue scenes from the game seem pretty good too:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0VDFdwwtN4
(narrated by the good-hearted Yinsen, of course) - g00ee, on 05/04/2008, -20/+12Yeah, I stayed until the end because I heard about the scene after the credits ... TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT ... do you know how long the credits are??? Just look it up online, the additional scene was only 15 seconds long!
- edwartica, on 05/04/2008, -4/+18You sir, are an idiot. The scene was totally worth it!
- BenKenobi88, on 05/04/2008, -1/+9What, were you in a mad rush to get out of the theater? I typically sit and watch the credits with my friends anyway, especially in a comic book movie where there's an extra at the end most of the time.
- borninda818, on 05/04/2008, -0/+9If you're a fan of the comic books, its worth it. Otherwise, it was not a big deal.
- g00ee, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Yeah, I guess I should have clarified ... if you are just there to see an action movie the extra scene isn't entertaining nor does it add anything to the movie ... it just has one line that sets up the sequel.
- theMurdocVolta, on 05/04/2008, -1/+1not worth it!?
totally saved the ending for me, without that bonus clip I would have been kind of mad. - Konstantino, on 05/04/2008, -0/+10The credits weren't THAT long. If anything you should stay during the credits if you liked the movie, just to honor the brilliant minds who helped create it.
- ammundsen, on 05/04/2008, -5/+5Dont worry, they get honored by the ridiculous amount of money they make for a successful film.
- SomeDrunk, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Perhaps you'll enlighten me on the pay of a Grip.
- tacojohn48, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I am sure the caterer cares.
- ammundsen, on 05/04/2008, -5/+5Dont worry, they get honored by the ridiculous amount of money they make for a successful film.
- Ajajadude, on 05/04/2008, -0/+12NOW this guy tells us. Bastard.
- gallagherFTW, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2i work at a movie theater with a full restaurant and bar. the first time i saw it i was in the theater cleaning up. half the people say it isn't worth waiting around but ***** them, because it's worth it. They could have at least had it be longer though.
- swisstone, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5Fortunately, I stayed right until the end... unfortunately, they decided to turn the lights on and start closing the curtains just as the scene started; rookies.
- Swordman554, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I know! The exact same thing happened to me! The shadow turned around, and a pop culture trivia thing came up! My group was like "NOOOOOOO!"
- kneelB4zod, on 05/04/2008, -0/+19If you haven't seen it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGgLZFdINpg . . .
- Charlotte_Web, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7Excellent... thanks for posting that. I walked out during the credits, too, and missed it.
Don't watch if you haven't seen the movie yet; it contains a major spoiler from the end. - MtheoryX, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Ripped down by YouTube. 'Tis a shame, it was a decent one.
- Charlotte_Web, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7Excellent... thanks for posting that. I walked out during the credits, too, and missed it.
- Browzer, on 05/04/2008, -4/+6I thought Iron Man was a good movie. My friends and I thought it was hilarious how the Stark Industries logo was blatantly ripped off from the defense contractor Lockheed Martin:
Stark Industries: http://screenrant.com/images/stark-logo.jpg
Lockheed Martin: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/de/LMLo ... - Charlotte_Web, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Apparently, Favreau wants to film the Avengers as a separate flick -- not as a sequel to Iron Man. And he wants to wait for each of the hero franchises to be developed, and then use the actors associated with their respective roles.
http://digg.com/movies/Favreau_to_direct_The_Aveng ...
I know Ant Man is being developed, and I've heard rumors of a Thor movie. I didn't think Captain America was going into production, though.- warplayer, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=7 ...
- soogy, on 05/04/2008, -0/+10*****. A couple of kids were yelling "stay for a clip at the end of the movie!" I was ready to stay, but my buddy convinced me that it was a prank, so we left.
I'm on my way over to his house to stab him now.- fatjoe, on 05/05/2008, -2/+3don't stab him. the scene after the credits is NOT WORTH THE WAIT
- empraptor, on 05/04/2008, -5/+1Not a great movie. A mediocre movie with great special effects. The druggie actor played the rockstar MIT graduate character horribly. I'd have thought with the high ratings it got the movie would be engaging in some way other than the visuals.
Maybe I'd have liked it better without loud special commentary from behind me. Looked after movie to find a dad in his 50's. ***** wouldn't shut up throughout the whole goddamn movie.
- sanman, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2These dialogue scenes from the game seem pretty good too:
- dolphus, on 05/04/2008, -3/+73Damn! I just back from seeing it the second time, and of course left before the credits were over. Oh well, guess I'll just have to see it a third time.
- sanman, on 05/04/2008, -1/+38Dammit, I only watched it once and stayed until the end to see that bonus. Now I'll have to go back and watch it a second time so that I can miss that scene and have an excuse to come back a third time.
Seriously though, some of the coolest moments happen so quickly that if you blink you'll miss them. - spoonchucks, on 05/04/2008, -1/+35Jeez, people actually do this? Maybe I'm just a cheap ass but I couldnt conceive paying twice (let alone 3 times) for a movie.
- 3HackBug77, on 05/04/2008, -2/+12which is why you go to the bathroom after the movie and then walk back into line. i saw 3 different movies in one day once lol. iron man is definately worth it.
- piwy, on 05/04/2008, -1/+7Well i don't pay twice either. I have a subscription to my cinema. I can basically watch how many movies, as many times as i want for a fixed price per month.
- stonewaljacksn, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1thats 30 dollars of iron man.
- Matsky, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2I was kinda forced to leave. They were running late, so as soon as the credits were up they turned on the lights, the crappy soundtrack music, and the usher was looking at us like "get the ***** out". The whole movie I had been waiting to hear Black Sabbath (it was so building up to it) and they cut it and give me bloody soothing piano music - the bastards! Now I find out that wasn't all I missed! I hate living in a city with only one cinema...
- GregoryHarbin, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5I've got a bootleg recorded and uploaded here, until Paramount finds this thread and yanks it: http://tinyurl.com/6zsdd2
- MtheoryX, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I think they found it man.
- mhuggins, on 05/04/2008, -1/+2I don't understand why people leave before the credits are over. Typically any good comedy, cliffhanger, etc. has an extra scene after the credits.
- NCSUspoon, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Damn sneak preview! I waited until the credits ended with it, but it wasn't included in the sneak preview I saw.
- fatjoe, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1the scene after the credits is NOT WORTH THE WAIT
- sanman, on 05/04/2008, -1/+38Dammit, I only watched it once and stayed until the end to see that bonus. Now I'll have to go back and watch it a second time so that I can miss that scene and have an excuse to come back a third time.
- lazyleo, on 05/04/2008, -31/+3i saw the movie i read the post i still dont get it?
- solidus636, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7Seriously? It's telling that there is a scene after the credits which depicts Nick Fury talking to Tony about joining the Avengers or something like that. I didn't get to see it, but I read the lines on one of the comments here.
- joemofo214, on 05/04/2008, -7/+1avengers is the marvel answer to the justice league. all you have to do is think EPIC
- solidus636, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4Yeah...I know what the Avengers are...
- Asianwaste, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2But it branched off into so much more over the years.
- edwartica, on 05/04/2008, -8/+1So, when does Iron man hire the assassin that kills Captain America?
- sovietninja, on 05/04/2008, -9/+2spoiler alert? u just ruined civil war for some people jackass.
- edwartica, on 05/04/2008, -3/+6Actually, I think your comment was more of a spoiler than mine.
- sovietninja, on 05/04/2008, -9/+2spoiler alert? u just ruined civil war for some people jackass.
- joemofo214, on 05/04/2008, -7/+1avengers is the marvel answer to the justice league. all you have to do is think EPIC
- Asianwaste, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Obviously you haven't become part of another universe.
- solidus636, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7Seriously? It's telling that there is a scene after the credits which depicts Nick Fury talking to Tony about joining the Avengers or something like that. I didn't get to see it, but I read the lines on one of the comments here.
- yeahididit, on 05/04/2008, -44/+9its Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury.
- ZombieKiss, on 05/04/2008, -16/+6lol you made an account just to say this? What a ***** loser you must be.
- sandbags, on 05/04/2008, -3/+1***** like u should be banned from the internet.
- ZiggyDaZigster, on 05/04/2008, -9/+4Funny though, Nick Fury, originally was white in the comics, it wasn't till they kinda upgrade it till he was black.
- samdu, on 05/04/2008, -1/+9This is "funny" because...
- itsgotyou, on 05/04/2008, -3/+3. . . .racisim is alive in ziggy.
- ZiggyDaZigster, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1No it's not, i was just stating a fact, I don't care that hes black, they couldn't picked a better actor. Don't call me a racist, I'm not.
- itsgotyou, on 05/04/2008, -3/+3. . . .racisim is alive in ziggy.
- samdu, on 05/04/2008, -1/+9This is "funny" because...
- Allender, on 05/04/2008, -0/+11thats because This is Ultimate Nick Furry who is black in the comics for the Ultimate Avengers
- macweirdo42, on 05/04/2008, -0/+21And in fact, Samuel L. Jackson was the inspiration for Ultimate Nick Fury.
- burnblue, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1When I saw Ultimate Nick Fury I knew they made that character so Sam could one day play him. UNF is a complete rip-off (you say inspiration) of Samuel L. Jackson
- TheUnlearn, on 05/04/2008, -1/+0When i was walking out of the theater the guy behind me turned to his son and said "I hate to say it but since when is nick fury black." i found out after i got home that ultimate nick fury was based on Samuel L. Jackson and couldn't stop laughing for a good minute.
- ZiggyDaZigster, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1Some other diggers called me racist because I pointed out that the original Nick Furry was white, haha, I guess I was only referring to comic nuts like myself, its(movie) not technically correct, which when have they've ever got it perfectly correct I will never know.
- macweirdo42, on 05/04/2008, -0/+21And in fact, Samuel L. Jackson was the inspiration for Ultimate Nick Fury.
- Charlotte_Web, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4No David Hasslehoff? WTF?
- Lyk4n, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Let's be thankful for that..
- solid12345, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3No offense to the great Samuel L Jackson, but why is it black actors can take white actor roles but if they made a white shaft, white spawn, or white Black Panther there would be total outrage?
- StanislawLem, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2Well, there are two versions of Nick Fury; the older white one, and a black one they came up with about 9 years ago modeled on Sam Jackson. Since the older version was pretty corny and they had the perfect actor to play the new one, they went with him. Last but not least, other than Black Panther (whose being black is kinda key to the character) I don't think anyone would care if they made a white Spawn or white Shaft.
- burnblue, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1Sam is taking a black actor role, black Nick Fury. Read Ultimate comics
- inbred, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1It's ok, Robert Downey Jr. is going to play a white actor that's playing a black actor.
- ZombieKiss, on 05/04/2008, -16/+6lol you made an account just to say this? What a ***** loser you must be.
- jewdiknight, on 05/04/2008, -2/+31WTF, I thought the spoiler was in invisotext.
- catastrophatic, on 05/04/2008, -17/+0is anyone else upset that nick fury is black?
what is up with that. i'm really friggin upset about that.
I thought the movie was awesome and stayed so true to the comic books, and presented real well. AND I STAYED FOR THE STUPID ***** END AND ITS GODDAMN SAMUEL L JACKSON.
*cries*
god hates me. WHYYYYYYY WHYYYYY- Lythium, on 05/04/2008, -0/+11Because you're either an insufferable fanboy or an insufferable racist - I can't quite determine which.
- chokeaduck, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Who says he has to choose? Maybe he's both, or not aware that the Ultimate Nick Fury is based upon Mr. Jackson?
- syntakk, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7You do know that Ultimate Nick Fury is black, and is, in fact, based on Samuel L. Jackson?
- catfish182, on 05/04/2008, -1/+3about every 10 or 15 years it seems that DC or Marvel will revamp or retell a origin to update the character. So what if he is black? The original Nick Fury was a character from the 40's and he sucked then. Go rub one off and relax.
- Lythium, on 05/04/2008, -0/+11Because you're either an insufferable fanboy or an insufferable racist - I can't quite determine which.
- catastrophatic, on 05/04/2008, -17/+0is anyone else upset that nick fury is black?
- synystar, on 05/04/2008, -16/+4It got a 78 on Metacritic. I'll go see it. That's really a decent score for a movie based on a comic book.
- AtiimKiambu, on 05/04/2008, -0/+50I saw it, and after it was over, they didn't turn the lights on. I thought it was just the crappy theater that I was in, so my friends and I left anywas. Whoops.
- DeathfireD, on 05/04/2008, -4/+2same here, then I was reading rotten tomatoes and someone posted about a secret ending after the credits. That ***** me off so much haha.
- edwartica, on 05/04/2008, -1/+3I tend to stay all through the credits, simply because you never know when that will happen.
- tgunner, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1The theatre I was in put the lights on as the credits came up, but then they flashed the lights a couple times. I couldn't figure out why.....
- tehbored, on 05/04/2008, -4/+296Go see Iron Man. Enjoy it. Get home. Go on digg. See this post. Exclaim: "*****!"
My past two and a half hours.- geneticlone, on 05/04/2008, -9/+3Wow same thing just happened to me as well, well I am sure we will get a chance to see it again in 6 or 7 months :D
- yuutokun, on 05/04/2008, -3/+4*****
- Kicker01, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5To be honest I only stuck around because I heard the manager explain to someone why some people were leaving and then the rest exiting a few minutes later.
- drex8, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2It's like the very last scene after the end credits of the last X-Men movie. Where the Professor Xavier is recovering in the hospital. How did that happen after being blasted to bits earlier?
- ZenMojo, on 05/04/2008, -0/+10Proteus's body, duh. He transferred his mind if you were paying attention. (Which I know a lot of people weren't since it was Xmen 3.)
- woody56292, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2wait there was an after-credits ending in X3? how the hell did I not know this? *goes to youtube it*
- ZenMojo, on 05/04/2008, -0/+10Proteus's body, duh. He transferred his mind if you were paying attention. (Which I know a lot of people weren't since it was Xmen 3.)
- ZenMojo, on 05/04/2008, -3/+3I watched it in the theatre on May 1st, got home, turned on G4 and the first thing I heard was "Stay to the end of the movie!" I actually got punished for being a CINEMATIC EARLY ADOPTER!
- zephyr42, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1You had to have been high... that would have taken soooo much longer than that....
- Spikito, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3I seriously did the same thing....when i was walking out i thought yo myself....i wonder if theres anything after credits
- geneticlone, on 05/04/2008, -9/+3Wow same thing just happened to me as well, well I am sure we will get a chance to see it again in 6 or 7 months :D
- DeepFriedFetus, on 05/04/2008, -7/+479"I am sick of these *****' clips at the end of these *****' credits!"
- solidus636, on 05/04/2008, -1/+24Well said.
- Charlotte_Web, on 05/04/2008, -14/+7What?
- AM6278, on 05/04/2008, -0/+10Sorry, I was slow and dugg you down. Now say what again. Say what again, *****, SAY WHAT ONE MORE GODDAMN TIME.
- fatb0y42, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I shat bricks.
- Perezzle12, on 05/04/2008, -2/+1Would of been funnier if you weren't saying that the whole time we left the theater.
- DeepFriedFetus, on 05/04/2008, -2/+1WTF i don't even know who you are! ***** wierdo
- dannytehmanny, on 05/04/2008, -4/+17I just saw it came home and read this soooo ***** like unbelievably ***** i even said to my self I should stay to the end of the credits but noooooooooo gawd dammit
- IAmTomCruise, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5That's the exact reason they have clips at the end of the credits so people have to pay to watch it again just to see the credits. It's a great way for customers to double dip into their product
- copypasterepeat, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I did exactly the same with Cloverfield. I'm one of those weirdos who like to sit and watch the credits anyway, but that day I was with friends who care not for scrolling text.
- TomGfromCanada, on 05/04/2008, -46/+8***SPOILER ALERT***

- carpespasm, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3FSM bless you
- Chongo, on 05/04/2008, -1/+1I love the deep sighs of the audience near the camera... honestly I would think it was cooler if he wasn't wearing his Shaft jacket and instead looked like the actual nick fury.
- Lockhart, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1I salute you, sir. You just saved me a movie ticket.

- macweirdo42, on 05/04/2008, -0/+6Ultimate Nick Fury is black, and Samuel L. Jackson was the inspiration in designing the character.
- virtualball, on 05/04/2008, -3/+31This better not be like Cloverfield! I waited a long time (longest credits ever, btw) for an audio clip that *backwards* says "It's still alive..."
That ***** sucked...- jgtg32a, on 05/04/2008, -3/+3well the credits were long as ***** but the clip rocked gave hints of things to come.
- funktimus, on 05/04/2008, -4/+1another bad movie?
- rowlodge, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1had a clip at the end saying its alive?, hmmm, rented it too, could of just skipped to it, but kinda was obvious there would be a part 2 cloverfield.

- HowlingAwe, on 05/04/2008, -2/+51I just got back from watching the film. And to be succinct, Iron Man is easily the best adaptations of comic book to the silver screen. The plot was solid, the action was all there along with healthy bout of laughs. Anyway, this is suppose to be about the TEASER. It's worth every minute leading up to the little snippet, and it my opinion makes the experience although the more satisfying. And it may make sense why this film was hyped so furiously. The transition from Tony Stark to Iron Man is awesome. (Fanatic moment)
All I have to say about the teaser is "MOTHER F**KER!!!" Stay after the credits and you'll get it.- rickcarson, on 05/04/2008, -0/+2Actually, almost all of the Marvel movies are good*, and so far as I can tell, (not being a comic fanboy), all the DC movies suck (with the notable exception of Batman Begins).
Not sure why that is... perhaps because the DC heroes are your classic one dimensional boy scout types, whereas the Marvel heroes are more the 'anti-hero' type, which lends itself to a more interesting story.
Iron Man was a good movie, but it was slow. If I go back and see it, do I really want to go through another 1 hour of retelling Tony Stark's back story leading up to him becoming Iron Man? How many fight scenes are in the movie that aren't also in the trailers? I can think of two (his first mission and the final battle).
Basically it was a great movie, but with very little to drag me back for a second sitting.
They'd have at least doubled their money from me if they'd not put so many spoilers in the trailer, and tossed in a couple of extra fight scenes... the first hour could do with a bit of editing down to pack the extra action in.
*I know some of the more extreme fanboys complain about Marvel mucking up the back stories for some of the heroes. How have they not heard of retcon? They should take a look at the wikipedia pages, all of the main heroes have at least half a dozen retcons/alternate realities, and that is without even the various comebacks after getting killed off - take your pick from: "it wasn't me, I faked it, it was all a dream, we altered the time stream so it never happened" etc- inbred, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1I agree, somewhat. I think they handled the backstory fantastically, but I do think there should have been way more fight scenes. But, usually, in these movies we have the first one setting the stage for the second one. Except in Superman Returns...what the hell...his main battle was lifting a rock. And I'm not sure if there's a second in the works.

- DannySpace, on 05/04/2008, -19/+1Found out about this on Aintitcool.com two days before the opening. Nick Fury to be a brutha? Yes, Sam is one of the coolest Bruthas around, but Nick be white yo! Didn't The Hoff try to pull this off back in the day?

In Marvel's "Ultimates Universe" Nick Fury is black as a matter of fact, they use Jackson's likeness in the comics. Thats the Nick Fury you see in the film - Ravenlock, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Nick Fury in the Marvel Ultimates series has been black from day one - and drawn to look exactly like Samuel L Jackson, to boot (they actually asked his permission to draw him that way), so the casting made pretty good sense.
Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Fury#Ultimate_Ni ... - samdu, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5Go read The Ultimates. Now. Then come back and apologize. ;)
- ZenMojo, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Considering Nick Fury, who is black in the Ultimate Universe, said he wanted Samuel L. Jackson to play him in the movie...makes sense.
- DannySpace, on 05/04/2008, -1/+0So I guess you kids know nothing about the original Nick Fury then?
- DannySpace, on 05/04/2008, -2/+0You kids have no clue what or who the Real Nick Fury is. The one who was born around 1920 in Hells Kitchen NY? The one who was a WWII Veteran? The Real Nick Fury who was Originally White, not Black? Obviously you kiddies have no clue where his Real Character Development stemmed from.
- HappyScrappy, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Haha. You used the word "real" in reference to a comic book story.
Comics are like this. They change stuff up all the time. And depending on which story lines get developed the most, new revised alternate versions can at times become the primary focus.

- hstege, on 05/04/2008, -0/+7http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Avengers_%282009_ ...
In August 2006, it was revealed by a stock market report that The Avengers was listed under Marvel films in development. It was later stated that Zak Penn, writer of the scripts for X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Elektra was to write the movie's script.[1]
Iron Man director Jon Favreau said he would like to direct a film adaptation of The Avengers. This would be a crossover to fictional universes in other upcoming Marvel films such as The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America. He also explained that Marvel has told him that "they're pretty clear on wanting to do it with the actors who’ve established the roles or to not do it at all." He continued, "I think it’s a good idea if you use the characters established in the other franchises that then come together for an event." [2]
After the end credits of Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury appears in Stark's mansion, and begins to tell him of the Avenger Initiative, hinting at, and possibly setting up for, the upcoming film.[3][4]

It's not the main canon Marvel Universe either. Last I checked the movies usually ... no wait... are NEVER main canon. Spiderman does not have biological web slingers (at least at first), Doctor Doom was not a CEO of a corporation, and Tony Stark got nabbed in Vietnam, not Afganistan. So calm the ***** down. They can take bits and pieces from whatever source material they damn please whether it be Ultimate, alternate, main, or their own "creative" liberties.
Sidenote: Batman was not trained by Ra's Al Ghuul... although that is still pretty ***** cool.- HappyScrappy, on 05/04/2008, -0/+3Tony Stark also didn't admit he was Iron Man in the main universe, which he clearly did in the movie. He did admit he was Iron Man in the Ultimate Universe.
