- chicagospur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As part of the original Disney/Pixar deal, Disney owned the rights to all of the subsequent sequels, even if the Disney/Pixar deal went sour after the agreed number of pictures (Cars being the last in the deal.)
If Pixar are involved, then great, but Disney can make the sequels with or without Pixar. Let's hope that Pixar really are involved.
Check out the book "Disney War" for more details. A great (if long,) read. - dutter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This looked likely back in May, when reports of Iger and Jobs forming a mutual admiration society began to surface. I mentioned it here: http://www.webpronews.com/news/ebusinessnews/wpn-45-20050506PixarAndDisneyTogetherAgain.html
- BrowserBabe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Little Nemo 2, Monster's Inc.2, and Toy Story 3!?!?!?.........I'm a huge Disney/Pixar fan but whatever happened to the making original stories/movies. Why are they making so many sequels?! I'm so tired of it. I wonder if anyone else feels the same way. Oh well.... I just hope this whole "Lets make a sequel out of almost every Disney movie made" stops soon. Digg....only because I'm glad I'm informed.
