- jfvegeta, on 05/08/2009, -10/+546The explosion of the ship should be larger. You know what, come to think of it, Earth should have been toasted.

- ImTheManWhoRU, on 05/08/2009, -81/+320I would have to say that: Star Wars > Star Trek

By the same guy. Pretty awesome. - aerovisor, on 05/08/2009, -13/+194Dear Star Wars fans,
Don't be upset if the new Star Trek movie is really good. George Lucas is just a terrible writer for screenplays...Let the better movie win. - decoy26517, on 05/08/2009, -1/+147Don't you mean terrorist fist jab?
- mikehorn, on 05/08/2009, -5/+148Ding Dong!
- superhope, on 05/08/2009, -2/+140Buried as inaccurate. Star Wars = a long time ago. Star Trek = future.
- ebcreasoner, on 05/08/2009, -0/+137Something about the dilithium crystals absorbing all the energy... or some such *****.
- marshdabeachy, on 05/08/2009, -0/+124No no, I'm pretty sure it was real.
- frazw, on 05/08/2009, -1/+103The ability to penetrate primary shield is insignificant next to the power of the force.
- Delphium226, on 05/08/2009, -0/+94I was driving past and saw it. It was definitely real. My sisters boyfriend was killed as well, he was a cook on the Enterprise. I can't believe you think something like this is a fake. WTF is wrong with you?
- judahhertz, on 05/08/2009, -8/+101This is awesome.
- inactive, on 05/08/2009, -4/+90WTF, is that vomit? Because everyone knows lazers go SHOOOOOO-DE-WOOOOOOOOOP
- egemenbor, on 05/08/2009, -0/+77you must be a hit with the ladies..
- inactive, on 05/08/2009, -0/+71PEW PEW PEW!
- inactive, on 05/08/2009, -0/+68Even thought the death star laser has multiple power settings a la episode 6 where it destroyed the Mon Calamari cruiser?
- smashingmonkey, on 05/08/2009, -3/+70Why does one have to be better than the other? Can't they both be great for very different reason?
With Star Wars movies, the genius was in the mythology, not the screenwriting. It was the essence of the epic story and the hero's quest in a futuristic context more relevant to modern people than most of the epics of old. Their value goes far beyond their worth as individual examples of filmmaking.
I love the ***** out of Star Trek, but for very different reasons. Each gives me something the other does not. Besides, "is better" amounts to "my ego" because this is all subjective. - TheWriteGuy, on 05/08/2009, -13/+80Ugh -- so sick of the "shakey cam" thing. When I use my video camera shooting casual events/things (like friends and family events) I make an effort to hold the camera still. C'mon, amateur filmmakers (and big budget directors -- Michael Bay, I'm looking at you!), hold the camera a little more steady so we can actually see (and appreciate) what you're showing us! It's no longer "realistic" these days to jitter the camera around. It simply looks like ***** and lazy cinematography now.
- ASSASSYN360, on 05/08/2009, -1/+68That definitely is not a moon.
- Logicexe, on 05/08/2009, -5/+71When was the last time you saw a laser behave the way Star Wars weapons behave?
Lasers weapons would form a solid line from the weapon to the target (similar to Star Trek's phasers). Star Wars weapons don't do that.
Laser weapons would be invisible in a vacuum, Star Wars weapons aren't.
Laser weapons would travel at the speed of light, Star Wars weapons don't.
If you were to to point for or five lasers at each other (like the Death Star does) they wouldn't combine and form one beam.
Obviously, despite being called lasers they're not lasers. They show none of the properties we'd expect from lasers. - escottberg, on 05/08/2009, -5/+65and that's that!
- ebcreasoner, on 05/08/2009, -15/+73Anytime I see the Enterprise getting destroyed is a good time. Explosion could've been bigger though.
- vitoke, on 05/08/2009, -1/+56 "Star Wars = a long time ago. Star Trek = future."
SO WE GOT BORN IN THE ***** BORING MIDTIME - i23Photography, on 05/08/2009, -3/+58I think the sound of the blast should be delayed... you know... like lightning
- oboredone, on 05/08/2009, -0/+55IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZER!
- Bengals1us, on 05/08/2009, -0/+48Hey you are right! I am starting to think this is fake.
- misternils, on 05/08/2009, -0/+47That thing's operational!
- inactive, on 05/08/2009, -0/+46It's a SUPERLASER nerd.
- Alex64, on 05/08/2009, -1/+46Yeah the explosion was the weakest part of the video.
- Evolve, on 05/08/2009, -22/+67I would have to say that the Enterprise > Imperial Cruisers || Death Star.
Lasers don't even penetrate navigation shields let alone primary shields.
Though I'll give you a coolness point for the light sabers which are clearly better than handheld phaser fights. - bytor4232fb, on 05/08/2009, -1/+44Wait a sec... Didn't we establish a decade ago on Usenet that the starwars "blaster" technology would never penetrate the Star Trek phased shield technology? Wouldn't Photon Torpedoes rip in one side of the death star and out the other?
God I'm such a nerd. - mrblack927, on 05/08/2009, -0/+38prove it? they caught the whole thing on VIDEO.
can't fake that. - KRG12345, on 05/08/2009, -7/+45stfu trekkie
/s - danwallace, on 05/08/2009, -2/+39Did you just ask yourself a question?
- inactive, on 05/08/2009, -1/+36+1 for truth.
- seanstuart, on 05/08/2009, -0/+34Lucky for Kirk, he had beamed down to the surface and was boning the Ewok Queen.
- faceless323, on 05/08/2009, -6/+37Enterprise reserved the polarity to save Earth.
- mythicflux, on 05/08/2009, -0/+30Of course, like when you fill a balloon with too much air!
- voxpunk88, on 05/08/2009, -0/+29to school. its nice when theyre not around =)
- Delphium226, on 05/08/2009, -0/+28Don't kid around with these things man. He's dead and he's never coming back! And what do you do? You sit there and question the whole thing!? What about his kids man? How do you think they feel seeing your insensitive comments about their dead father. He was cooking a pumpkin pie and grits. I suppose you wanna make a joke out of that now? WTF is wrong with you?!?
- Billions, on 05/08/2009, -8/+35Notice that they aren't the newer Republic CLONE troopers, however. They are old Ep. 4-5-6 stormtroopers. Get what I'm saying here? I'm all for this abuse of Star Trek, but even I gotta admit: That new Star Trek film is sorta amazing!
- carter1337, on 05/08/2009, -10/+36You ever seen the Death Star destroy the Enterprise.... on weeeed?
o_O
Props, this is ***** great, - brownsound00, on 05/08/2009, -0/+25The Force
