- Luke did not scream like a wuss while falling in Cloud City (edited back out of the latest release, I understand)
- Vader disappointingly said, "Bring my shuttle" after Luke fell, not "Prepare for my arrival" or whatever the f*ck it was in the Special Edition.
- The "theatrical edition" on the latest DVD is nothing but a laserdisc port
... and there are lots of other reasons why Vader should be pissed just from the original trilogy, let alone the prequels. - TitaniumWarrior, on 02/16/2009, -1/+15To be fair, I didn't mind the prequels, obviously they weren't as good as the originals, but I personally don't think they were as bad as people say they are, and I don't mind if people don't like them, I just hate seeing people bashing them without some valid points to back it up with.

But the Prequels prove that good actors need good directors. Lucas is really good at writing a story, but hu-hu-horrible at directing performances. At least these days.

- TitaniumWarrior, on 02/16/2009, -0/+3Yes, this I will agree with, the story in general was solid, but I always felt the dialogue in the prequels was by the weakest aspect. (Not really sure if we could blame Lucas for that, or the other writers.). But the 2 characters I was disappointed with the most were Jar Jar and Anakin. Jar Jar was just a failed character, they tried to make it too much for kids, and bring sort of a "Han Solo" kind of humor aspect to the prequels, and failed. as for Anakin, two words, Hayden Christensen, the Anakin character had so much potential to make those movies awesome, but bad acting on his part brought it down.

1. Hayden Christensen: Instead of a pretty boy with some mommy issues who couldn't deal with her death that led to his ultimate downfall I wanted to see a genuine power hungry, charismatic Jedi whose attraction to the dark side was not because he was gullible enough to be manipulated by Darth Sidous over a vague dream et al.
2. Jar Jar ***** Binks
3. Not enough Darth Maul or for that matter a good view into the world Dark Side users.
4. Although many think that Darth Sidious' rise to power was very well thought, I don't understand how a conspiracy involving thousands of storm troopers among others was not detected by the Jedi who could see through the smallest of others' feelings and thoughts.
