- MrCarlLee, on 10/05/2008, -1/+39Murcielago means "bat", I thought that's why it was chosen.
- TheDiceMan, on 07/23/2008, -5/+18As much as a fanboy as I am - I'm getting pretty tired of TDK submissions reaching front page with regular ease these days
- Regbooker, on 07/23/2008, -0/+13If you can buy it, believe me, you don't care about its gas mileage.
- ipek, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12Easy on the spoilers, dude!
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -0/+10*****, never knew that and i love that car
- Aitese, on 07/23/2008, -1/+10People who can afford the car don't care.
- ButlerMonkey, on 07/23/2008, -1/+10I'm surprised they didn't go with the Reventon...

- jj412, on 07/22/2008, -0/+8Damn, gotta love an Italian beauty.

"You don't watch the news much, do you, Mr. Wayne?" - Zippo, on 07/23/2008, -0/+540 miles per awesome.
- Gloibin, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6Maybe because they wouldn't wreck 1 of only 20 cars in the world?
- DeadSkinMask, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
- zoethebitch, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5Interview I saw once with CEO of Lamborghini:
Reporter: "There isn't much room in this car."
CEO: "There's enough room for the driver and a beautiful woman."
Of course, Bruce Wayne's helicopter has enough room for three beautiful woman. What an entrance. - artfiend77, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5mursièlago means bat in Spanish, Pipistrelli means bat in Italian...take it from someone who speaks neither language.....google is your friend. Murcielago was the name of a famous bull in Cordoba, Italy.
- Duositex, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4Well.. given that the one in the movie was (SPOILER) smashed, and there are only 20 of the car you suggested being released to the public, I can understand why they didn't use it.
- cbartlett, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4Don't Digg him down. That's a funny quote.
- redsox34, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4it runs on guano
*bat poo* - inactive, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5But they picked the wrong Lamborghini for it.
This is the one they should have had in the movie.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Revent%C3 ... - ubernoggin, on 07/22/2008, -4/+7yes, but what kind of gas mileage does it get?
- flat4scooby, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3the 1+ million cost? and probably because ay one the asked said hell no.
that was the worst scene, watching thinking hes not going to, not with the lambo. - 1807, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3guano bowls...collect the whole set
- gijoe411, on 07/23/2008, -1/+4Collectible Awwww's are cool, I have 17 so far, all lined up on my shelf. Do you have the ethnic Awwww yet?
- devoss, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3CGI?
- MOJIRA, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3They should have gone with the Maybach Exelero... this thing looks like the comic book Batmobile and would have been hilarious if it was Bruce Wayne's daily driver:

It's not uncommon for many replicas of a vehicle to be made for movies - particularly if they're supercars and will be destroyed and involved in action sequences. Some "copies" of the vehicles are little more then accurate exteriors and a seat for the stunt drivers.
As an aside, I lol'd at your spoiler warning that came exactly one word before the spoiler. - devoss, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2My thoughts exactly.
- Number23, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3The exhaust note is extraordinary. It's as though each cylinder makes a slightly different note resulting is something that is almost melodious.
- JBrown99, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2"The name Murciélago (pronounced moor-thee-EH-la-goh in traditional Castilian Spanish and moor-see-EH-la-goh in Spanish of Latin America), means "bat" in Spanish, comes from a bull that survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight at the arena of Córdoba, and fought with such passion and spirit that the matador chose to spare its life, a rare honor."
From Wikipedia. - ButlerMonkey, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Not everything you see in the movies is real you know.
- firesphotons, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Dragon, I don't think Murcielago refers to bat at all but is rather a type of bull. Lambo has a history of using bull derivations as their logo is a raging bull.
- mmockett, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Michael Bay would have molested the franchise. It would have been horrible.
- flamingduck, on 07/23/2008, -0/+11 gallon = 1 mile
just a guess - LordStandley, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1I bet you get a lot of BAJ in that car.
- bytor4232, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1All he ALLEGEDLY hit them with is ugly words. Its shocking that someone can get arrested for loosing their temper and raising their voice in the UK.
- PointAndStare, on 07/23/2008, -1/+1You could hear a collectible "Awwww..." in the theater at the end of the Lamborghini scene.
- inactive, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0I wish the scene with Lamborghini was a little longer in the movie. It was very brief and there wasn't long chase like Michael Bay would've done.
- flat4scooby, on 07/23/2008, -1/+1No Murcielago does mean bat.
But too bad that article mentions the wrong version, as far as i remember seeing it was not a LP640 but the older Murcielago as seen in the original - diggit08, on 07/23/2008, -1/+1Site Slow at 183 diggs? Maybe when GooGle buys digg they will start caching the front page stories.
