Casting him in that role wouldn't result in Daniel Radcliffe as Bilbo Baggins; to me, at least, the end result would only be parseable as Harry Potter playing Bilbo Baggins, and that doesn't make any damn sense.

    It would be like casting Michael Dorn, for example, as Gandalf - WTF, Gandalf's not a Klingon.

    Mark my words, they'll eff this up to make it fit a better story arc (like the Two Towers scene where Aragon drops off a cliff and almost dies).
