- giveer, on 10/03/2008, -3/+58" perhaps be the worst film of the Batman franchise"???
*Perhaps?* That is perhaps the worst use of 'perhaps' ever! That movie was donkey nuts! - DiscoLando, on 10/03/2008, -2/+41Yes.
- palehorse864, on 10/03/2008, -2/+33If it paved the way for O Brother Where Art Thou, I think I can tolerate Batman and Robin existing.
- trevorjez, on 10/03/2008, -3/+32You're not sending ME to the COOLER!
- jtbell04, on 10/03/2008, -0/+26Holy crap, you not only *not hated* this movie, but LIKED it?
Ice to meet you! - itbescott, on 10/03/2008, -5/+27"Let's kick some ice!!!"
Hahaha... oh he's my governor (tear). Oh well at least he's not Sara Palin! - Zzone, on 10/03/2008, -0/+17Everybody, CHILL!
- JesusHimself, on 10/03/2008, -0/+17Lets kick some ICE!!!
- terajoule, on 10/03/2008, -1/+16You're not sending me to the cooler!
- badwithcomputer, on 10/03/2008, -0/+10donkey nuts is the most underused term ever.
- aresef, on 10/03/2008, -0/+9ICE TO MEET YOU!
- Jack8274, on 10/03/2008, -1/+10Still not dead yet buddy.
- giveer, on 10/03/2008, -1/+10There's donkey nuts everywhere??
- quisph, on 10/03/2008, -0/+8George Clooney has always been very gracious about even his most embarrassing work. Even some of the early TV stuff he did... I remember him saying something to the effect that he was thankful just to be getting steady work as an actor. He was able to appreciate that a lot of good actors never make it even that far.
- soapandfoam, on 10/03/2008, -0/+8To answer the article's question: I wouldn't want anyone else doing Batman except Nolan and Bale.
- palehorse864, on 10/03/2008, -0/+6He sleeps in a coffin at night. Muhahaha
- whahaa, on 10/03/2008, -1/+7it was called Collateral Damage.
the actual quote is 'I'll show you collateral damage!'
he played a firefighter who fights terrorists, and it was produced almost a year before 9/11. (released february 2002) it even included an airplane hijack scene which was cut due to the sensitive times. - m4csrgh3yk3v, on 10/03/2008, -1/+7I wish so much that he had said "ice to see you"
- CrimsonBlur, on 10/03/2008, -0/+6Comparing donkey nuts to "Batman and Robin" is an insult to donkey nuts everywhere.
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -0/+5'Batman Forever' wasn't exactly a masterpiece.
- badwithcomputer, on 10/03/2008, -2/+7http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU7tzVu2h6k
- 1807, on 10/03/2008, -2/+7You know what movie should have gotten a sequal? I just saw the Shadow again and after not seeing it in a LONG time, I realize how good Alec Baldwin was at playing a Batman-like character. I really believe that a fresh look could really make "the Shadow" very cool again.
- markperia, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Please tell me Nolan and Bale has at least one more trick up their sleeves. Its not time for them to bail out on the franchise just yet.
- plainOldFool, on 10/03/2008, -3/+7Let's kick some Ice! Arrgghghgghg
- CoreyTamas, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4What I love is how Arnold Schwarzenegger's name was billed over Clooney's. The movie is called "Batman and Robin"... Clooney plays Batman... and he's second-billed.
You know someone's agent had pictures of someone else's agent in a compromising position when you see stuff like that. - skeetmuffin, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4"GET TO THE CHOPPA"
- dvdcpu, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4You were batman!?
- dudefaceguyman, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Same! I remember getting the toys for the movie when I was 8. I totally remember having the action figure of the green dude with tubes in his back. He was awesome. Especially since I already had like 20 batman's action figures from the previous movies. (All my toys as a kid were of Batman stuff pretty much. I even made my own ziplines outta fishing string all over my room for my Batman/Robin figures.)
I look at the movie in the same way as the old 60's batman sitcom. It's cheesy as hell and it's impossible to take seriously, but the hilarious one liners by everyone is great.

- noticedneutrino, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Being honest is a mistake here at digg. Fact is you had the balls large enough to admit on liking the movie while the other chicken ***** "pretend" they never liked it
- fatfonzie, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3I like George Clooney, just didn't as Batman.
- aresef, on 10/03/2008, -1/+4Needs more Bat-Nipples.
- Terrk, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3George Clooney is great, he was so damn funny in Burn After Reading.
I bumped into him in Vegas, and he was really humble. He's a good guy - audomatix, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Hate to be the Devils advocate but perhaps if Clooney didn't get that role he would have done even better. Who knows, either way he made it so congrats... Truthfully ER was what made Clooney but hey, whatever.
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Ice to seeh yough!
- funkytaco, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Ice what you did there.
- Kelmon, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3I can tolerate bad movies, normally (hey, I sat through Alexander), but Batman & Robin only got 10-minutes. After that I concluded that it was too painful to watch anymore and that the script writer should have been shot.
- FordSVT1, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Thank god the first Batman I saw was Keaton/Nicholson when I was 12.
- yellowfish04, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3HE DIDN'T??!?
:( - mwilhelm, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Even Mike Nelson couldn't make this movie watchable.
www.rifftrax.com - CrimsonBlur, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3ER made Clooney as a TV actor. There are actually very few actors that started on a television series like ER and went on to leading roles in movies. Even fewer that have reached what Clooney has accomplished.
- RaulMuadDib, on 10/03/2008, -1/+4Bale Out
- CarolJude, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Crappy movie, but he was a fantastic Batman. No surprise; the guy is superhuman.
- Kelmon, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3In all seriousness, and as a fan of Batman Begins, I can say that I would rather watch A Knights Tale than watch The Dark Knight again. A Knights Tale is just a lot of fun (Paul Bettany's over-the-top Geoffrey Chaucer is just hilarious). The Dark Knight had its moments but was let down in various areas. For example, what was the point of the scene with the 2 ferries? The film didn't need it and it was totally unbelievable. In reality the ferry with the convicts would have been blown up by any woman on the other ferry with a child in less than a minute.
To be honest, I blame the hype. I suspect that if I'd known little about the film before seeing it then I'd have enjoyed it much more than I did. Unfortunately, the interweb seemed to think it was the best film ever and it just wasn't. - ElectroStep, on 10/03/2008, -0/+2Nolan and Bale need to make one more movie out of this fanchise. No more.
- fumbduck, on 10/03/2008, -0/+2something tells me his career was already going well just to be considered for the starring role in a big budget batman movie
- Exzhaton, on 10/03/2008, -0/+2The only thing I remember in that movie is Poison Ivy and Batgirl.
- BulletsforRingo, on 10/03/2008, -0/+2SEQUAL
- CrimsonBlur, on 10/03/2008, -0/+2Well... are you saying there aren't?
