Could This Be The Face Of The Next Penguin?

io9.com — A mock-up of Philip Seymour Hoffman as a Dark Knight-esque Penguin has fueled speculation and awk-awk noises. Even though there have been many denials about Hoffman's involvement on the project, not to mention it's too soon to even get the casting ball rolling. that won't stop people from photo shopping his noggin into a penguin-esque figure.

  • inactive, on 12/30/2008, -0/+7Nolan already said he won't do the Penguin or Robin. I'm hoping in the third movie he ends up giving us Black Mask and The Riddler as the villains. Black Mask like Scarecrow, has never appeared in a film. It would be great to see a reimaging of a villain that's already appeared in live action and one that hasn't.

    Black Mask has such a great back story that would fit well in this movie series.

    I'd love to see more of a group of villains working together in the next Batman. Black Mask, Riddler, a more humanized penguin as a side character (more rich mobster than mutant)

    Even if Nolan "went there" and did something with poison ivy and catwoman i'm sure he'd do a great job with those characters.

Have any of you seen the concept designs and make-ups for the joker? They were nothing (some even laughable) like what ledger ended up looking like.

  • Slique22, on 12/31/2008, -0/+2I would really hate to see anyone else attempt to play Heath's Joker (and presumably not live up to the expectations), so would rather they just drew a line and started afresh. His story actually wrapped up pretty nicely in TDK with him being captured and sent to Arkham, too.

    And thank God they didn't end on a cliffhanger with him.
