- eljesus788, on 01/08/2008, -2/+272007 gave us Children of Men in January, and that was one of the best movies of the year
- nymphetamine, on 01/08/2008, -2/+26Yea, but Snakes On A Plane was literally snakes on a plane! Everyone that thought the movie was gonna be awesome was retarded.
- hydroplane, on 01/08/2008, -7/+19If a movie has to create hype by NOT showing things then its not worth watching. The best thing about this lame marketing campaign is that the first person with a camera phone and blog will expose it.
- drunkwally, on 01/08/2008, -0/+11So the .torrent will be available on January 15th. Thanks for the info.
- inactive, on 01/08/2008, -1/+6I agree, I hate movie trailers that show the best parts or too much of the movie. I think if there was an award show for best movie trailer, Cloverfield would definitely win, even if the movie is crappy, I think they are doing a good job advertising it by not showing too much.
- luke374, on 01/08/2008, -1/+6*****! How do I sheck a newspaper?!
- RobotBuddha, on 01/08/2008, -1/+6I could see why someone wouldn't like it, but I loved snakes on a plane. I'm getting more than a little tired of the over the top, ironic winks at the audience in movies like it. It was one of the first major productions in a long time that actual had a feel of sincerity to it. It was just a dumb movie that wasn't trying to be anything more. Flight of the living dead did a good job of maintaining that as well.
- andrewcsayer, on 01/08/2008, -4/+8I can't wait for the disappointment from all the fan boys when the monster is revealed. In like 6 months time people won't give a flying ***** about it
- tehknotte, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4THAT MAKES NO SENSE!
- Chongo, on 01/08/2008, -0/+4someone in another digg thread came up with the idea that it might be the movie adaptation of the video game RAMPAGE. Even though I have no intention of seeing this, I think that would be the only way this movie would be awesome
- notoneofus, on 01/08/2008, -2/+5Not showing things works quite well, or haven't you seen "Alien"?
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3> "It's always great when people make a big deal about how much a movie sucks... When it's not even out yet."
To be fair, it works both ways... - TwwIX, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3Apparently this is actually the monster http://www.movieweb.com/news/38/25538.php
- killthefifi, on 01/08/2008, -1/+4I bet I wasn't the only one who instantly thought of Intel code names.
- OKeric, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2I expect the sneak preview to be available for everyone (officially or not) on the web by Tuesday.
- euping, on 01/08/2008, -3/+5Is this a definitive list? Or is it just ones where he found you could enter online?
- NeoCortex, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2I think you have to start by buying it dinner.
- judicar, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2Buried so noone else wins tickets ..
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 01/08/2008, -1/+3> "How is that not godzilla?"
How *is* it Godzilla? - inactive, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2Dude, I'm glad you don't write movies. Although you might want to contact Uwe Boll. If you could somehow make that into a video game I'm sure he'd be interested in making it into a movie.
- musicfreak87, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2DIE DIE DIE
- thrallie, on 01/08/2008, -3/+5http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l198/booyor/clov ...
How is that not godzilla? - confusednazgul, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2Just because it's an extremely tall biped does not mean it's Godzilla. That's quite a stretch.
- 3rdragon, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1why should we even give a F if it's not open to the general public....tell SAG for all I care!!!
- 3rdragon, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1oh and tell Direct TV they lost millions for SAG.....cuz I any many other wont buy a $300 dollar DVR for nothing
- skinrock, on 01/08/2008, -2/+3God dammit, why is Michigan ALWAYS left out?
- Djharlock, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1Three Golden Stickers to whoever gets in and sneak films it for us.
- wushi, on 01/08/2008, -3/+4this is gonna blow...
- ESTEBEVERDE, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1GODZILLA
- cfpresley, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1Nationwide and select cities are mutually exclusive when talking about movie releases. Inaccurate.
- PJLess, on 01/08/2008, -3/+4My personal opinion is that the movie might be interesting. My theory is that their is a drilling company called Tagruato that is drilling in the sea and using material they find to put in the Slusho drinks. The material has to be kept cold. Of course when we drink Slusho it warms up in our bodies and things grow in us like aliens. I think we explode with the stuff in it like the video of the woman from the trailer. It could also be the material in the Slusho is the eggs of the monster that is attacking the city. All I can tell from all the viral sites is that the material is bad for us and gives is lots of energy and strength. Check out wikipedia for all the Cloverfield sites. The viral marketing seems to be working. I think I am going to have to order a Slusho t shirt to wear to the movie. I really hope this movie is good. The sites really have me engaged espically JamieAndTeddy.com, a viral tie-in website (Password: jllovesth). Lets all hope for a good movie.
- alexlook, on 01/08/2008, -1/+2S.F. area win tickets here http://www.live105.com/Cloverfield-Contest/1427333

- expert01, on 01/08/2008, -2/+3Yes, they renamed Gozilla to Stopzille
- stockjones, on 01/09/2008, -0/+1Who said there is only one...creature.
- smek2, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1I have a very bad feeling about Cloverfield. My bet is, it will suck. I could be wrong, of course, but the release date is notorious for being the time hollywood dumps their crap and what i have seen didn't really excited me that much. Abrams has yet to prove (to me that is) that he actually is that creative. Lost is confusing as hell and MI3 was boring and by the numbers. These Cloverfield viral marketing videos, made to look like "real" news clips, looked so ridiculously fake, it actually made me stay away from the theater. Besides, it isn't exactly viral anymore if anybody knows that these clips promoting a movie.
- yodasama, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1and it was nothing more than all right...
- olddirtycr, on 01/08/2008, -1/+299.99999% of movies after 6 months no one cares about.. So thats not really a big deal?
- yodasama, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1Snakes on a Plane was a summer film, you know...
- confusednazgul, on 01/08/2008, -2/+3It's always great when people make a big deal about how much a movie sucks... When it's not even out yet.
- brufleth, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1It is a large city destroying monster that comes out of the water, roars, makes people run around screaming, and is somehow affiliated with Japan.
There's clearly nothing in common with Godzilla. - sheepsheeplamb, on 01/08/2008, -0/+1It's a space slug.
- Tearlock, on 01/08/2008, -1/+1I don't want to see it until I'm in the theater. I like surprises.
- mikehill33, on 01/08/2008, -1/+1Large dinosaur-sized fire-breathing monster. Movie ends with sequels a plenty.
- PJLess, on 01/08/2008, -1/+1Hey I am not writing it I am just telling you what the site says on Slusco.jp. It says the stuff is from the bottom on the ocean. And if that is not what its about why is the woman exploding from the stomach in the trailler!
- GreatSunJester, on 01/08/2008, -0/+0Actually it seems more like an evil greedy Japanese company has drilled too deep and awoken things better left sleeping. If it was set in the Pacific I would say they broke the main chamber in R'leyh and disturbed Cthulhu. Since it appears to start in the Atlantic, who knows.
- PJLess, on 01/08/2008, -1/+1Take a look at the Slusco.com and tell me that this is not what the movie is about. They tell you on the Slusco site that the flavor is from the bottom on the ocean!!. You just can't just drink 6. If you go the the Tagruato site you can read about how their sponsored a baseball team and they beat the crap out of the other team. Hey I am not writing it I am just telling you what the site says!!
- cyranthus, on 01/08/2008, -3/+3here! theres the monster!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamera - PJLess, on 01/08/2008, -1/+1Take a look at the Slusco.com and tell me that this is not what the movie is about. They tell you on the Slusco site that the flavor is from the bottom on the ocean!!. Hey I am not writing it I am just telling you what the site says!! If you go to the Tagrato site you see press releases on how the stuff makes old people get energy and a little league team win a game. It says on the say on the website that is what Slusco is made of. Its a flavor drilled from the ocean!!
