- JoeDiggsIt, on 11/20/2007, -2/+71I know it's probably not Cthuhlu, but I want it to be SO bad...
- DD00, on 11/20/2007, -0/+35I thought it was pretty clear what was going on? I mean the shot is filled with military personnel, why would they just be standing around while monsters attack some girl?
- Halukard, on 11/20/2007, -0/+32But IT IS revealed :
http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd299/serversph ... - Vampire, on 11/20/2007, -0/+31Never once thought those were monsters... Now when she exploded into something, now that is a monster.

- maxdigg, on 11/20/2007, -2/+26the 'little monsters', it's actually man-bear-pig
- FellOffACliff, on 11/20/2007, -1/+24The server isn't being revealed either.
- inactive, on 11/20/2007, -2/+19Why settle for the lesser of two evils? CTHULU 08
- Ouze, on 11/20/2007, -2/+16Maybe it happened in New Orleans?
- AshamedAmerican, on 11/20/2007, -1/+15Just as long as it's not a giant iguana...
- Repsac, on 11/20/2007, -1/+13yeah, I just thought it was two guys in biohazard suits or what-have-you, holding a woman.
- Haz3rd, on 11/20/2007, -1/+13I thought it was pretty straight froward too. It's just guys in bio-hazard suits.
- boshuda, on 11/20/2007, -1/+12Chtuhlu FTW!!!
- waalter, on 11/20/2007, -0/+11A plague that claws the statue of liberty's head off and hurls it at a building.
The potato famine also makes a cameo. - Shirleycakes, on 11/20/2007, -0/+11Woah. Looks like Sin from Final Fantasy X.
- Adrnshw6, on 11/20/2007, -0/+11It has been stated multiple times that the monster is not Godzilla.
- sanman, on 11/20/2007, -0/+101) a giant alligator from the sewers of NYC
2) the Staypuff Marshmallow Man
3) an Intel processor? aha! those weren't hazmat suits! they were intel bunny suits! they were aiming for 35nm, but they accidentally shifted the decimal point the wrong way and made it 30 stories tall - Ouze, on 11/20/2007, -0/+9here is some concept art - maybe real, maybe fake - showing the "smaller monsters". I promise not a rickroll or meatspin.

- MicahC, on 11/20/2007, -1/+10They're bears! Stephen Colbert was right!
- LOPcagney, on 11/20/2007, -0/+9The monster isn't this: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=1390694335 ...
That was drawn as a submission to a promo contest for who could invent their own Cloverfield monster. As far as I know it's not affiliated with the actual movie. - ScaredOfTheMan, on 11/20/2007, -0/+9If you listen to the audio you hear something burst out of her, and check the last frame of the scene her shadow around the belly gets really big.
- Owned1Up, on 11/20/2007, -2/+11Am I the only one who doesn't know what the hell this story is about?
- Korde, on 11/20/2007, -1/+9For an actual clip of the Monster Major in HD:

(not my submission... just thought everyone should get to see this). - Pointman323, on 11/20/2007, -0/+8chupacabra!!
- Chirp08, on 11/20/2007, -8/+16Is this necessary? Maybe on a site for retarded people, like Fox's entertainment section or something, but I highly doubt anyone on dig thought they were monsters. If ANYTHING they were thinking "That would be sweet if they were two Big Daddys haha"
- Guspaz, on 11/20/2007, -0/+8If you watch the trailer, you DO see the big monster. For about a second, at about 90 seconds in, you see what seems to be maybe a third of it. Some of the frames are in focus. Get the 1080p trailer and see for yourself.
I'll say this; it ain't fuzzy, and it ain't a lion. It also didn't seem to have scales, but it's hard to tell from the part I saw, even though it takes up most of the height of the frame. - Shirleycakes, on 11/20/2007, -0/+7Nobody knows what the story is really about. Monster attack on Manhattan as seen by people who filmed it with digital cameras.
- innocentsinner, on 11/20/2007, -0/+6I remember that from Final Fantasy X
- Halukard, on 11/20/2007, -0/+5Come on ! You can see a knee !
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 11/20/2007, -0/+5Like hell. I'd much rather see a real adaption of it done with a good budget rather than a cash-in bastardization that has very little to do with the real story.
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 11/20/2007, -1/+6Screw that. If a real Call of Cthulhu is going to be made, they should do it right, which means Cthulhu doesn't attack NYC like Godzilla.
- Mesiance, on 11/20/2007, -7/+12yeah they're just the 2 guys holding a woman as she explodez!
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u179/Evil_Pix/1 ... - virtualball, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4Everyone has a right to opinion, it just happens to be that yours is wrong.
- ahintoflime, on 11/20/2007, -1/+5Er... Who the hell thought those were monsters? Maybe you guys need to get your eyes checked.
- WhiplashChick, on 11/20/2007, -4/+8i don't think whales have scales.
i hope the link above: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=1390694335 ... isn't right - BakaDrgn, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4So you do know.
- Ouze, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4I read the mist too, and I believe the blue whale comment is meant as a reference to size only, not appearance. I thought it was a brontosaur or something.
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3...the hell?
From the teaser and trailer, this movie looks like it'll be pretty good (but, then again, that's the whole point of teasers and trailers, isn't it?), but that link and the above-posed "concept art" really makes the monster seem like a Sin rip-off from Final Fantasy X. - jecobo, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3French Wikipedia lol
- Urusai, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3His spelling of "reeks" is wrong, too.
- 1town, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3I thought it was men in hazmat suits when I first watched the trailer. Are the shapes not obvious?
- Ouze, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3you probably heard that here: http://www.canmag.com/nw/8853-cloverfield-whale-mo ...
- handsomehellvis, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3hehehe
- dip42, on 11/20/2007, -1/+4Anyone thinks that this is a giant turtle? If you zoom in, you can make out a turtle shell...
- ParticleMan420, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3whales arent 100 storys tall and they dont walk either
what's your point? - Sedako, on 11/20/2007, -1/+4It's not. That picture is simply fan art.
http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2007/09/fan-m ... - inactive, on 11/20/2007, -2/+5I bet this movie is just the US remake of The Host
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Host_(film) - nymphetamine, on 11/20/2007, -0/+2So would you be ok with it being the Geico gecko? Because I would.
- random12345, on 11/16/2008, -0/+2Half man half bearpig
