- TenaciousDnj, on 11/23/2008, -1/+42thats too bad. most of the movies hes acted in or directed have been very good.
- Dr3w, on 11/24/2008, -0/+34I always thought a young Clint would be the best Wolverine.
- doublefelix, on 11/24/2008, -0/+26I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.
- Clint Eastwood - benroy, on 11/24/2008, -3/+23Damn shame. I was looking forward to "Dirty Harry 6: I'm Too Old For This *****".
- DigSomeMore, on 11/23/2008, -0/+19That was a great career for him...now go enjoy yourself
- AFelsinger, on 11/23/2008, -2/+19Robert De Niro should retire soon too, judging by the quality of his films this decade especially
- Bigcolby, on 11/24/2008, -2/+14I personally thought Stardust (2007) was great...
But I get your point...he should probably just be a gay pirate from now on - ChinezePanda, on 11/24/2008, -0/+8Grand Torino looks amazing.
Clint. Bro! Good job man! Now go enjoy life. - filmteknik, on 11/24/2008, -0/+7Clint Eastwood is an amazing filmmaker. It's not just that he's so prolific but the way his films cover such a wide range of human experience. It's not like cranking out, say, horror movies one after another. They're always different and always at least good and very often great. And a great actor on top of that. I hope he doesn't retire from either but if he does it would be nice to go out on top with an Oscar and, yes, the buzz is true...his performance is indeed Oscar caliber.
- tbhurst, on 11/24/2008, -0/+6This goes to show that I should see more movies; I thought he retired already!
- YeahMan, on 11/24/2008, -0/+5A damn good actor, and a damn good director too.
If I could meet him I'd thank him for all of his work. - Jimbo58, on 11/24/2008, -0/+5I have no doubt that he is NOT retiring from the director's chair. Just from the actor roles...
- viserov, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4I have nipples, Greg. Can you milk me?
- mikemarino, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4The end of an era.
- Bloodwine, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4I wonder if the story is true about how he started in the biz. The story goes that he was visiting a friend who was acting in a Western. The director saw the squinting, lanky Eastwood on the set and the rest of history. Pretty cool if it's true.
He is one of the few stars that never lost his luster. He got all his silly crap out of the way early in his career (the movies with the monkey ... Every Which Way But Loose or something like that)
As others have already stated, he is an excellent director as well. - pyrexia, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4"Well, sir, you are a cowardly son of a bitch! You just shot an unarmed man!"
"Well, he should have armed himself if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend." - fugazied, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3That's a genius call.
- KingGorilla, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3He should get a hobby with all this spare time now. Maybe like painting wagons
- barfooz, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3* is
- chevyorange, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3Now that we seem to be kicking racism's ass, maybe ageism should be next.
- chevyorange, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3I highly doubt that, though I appreciate the cynical sentiment.
- punkcat, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3i think what we are seeing now IS his retirement.
(stardust was actually a god movie i thought.) - inactive, on 11/24/2008, -1/+4I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad

It's coming on - QuadraticMan, on 11/24/2008, -0/+353 years... Awesome work.
- Derter, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3The man with no name trilogy is a piece of anthology for the XX century cinema, no doubt with that. And how can I forget Dirty Harry?
- Xmoneyx9, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3Sad to see him retire. He was a great actor/filmmaker.
- QuadraticMan, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gyLiokWphI
- FaithclubDotNet, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2Fist Full of Dollars is like my favorite movie of all time.
- RuSTeDs, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2Amazing actor. I'll miss him for sure. Hope he continues directing films.
- chevyorange, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2Because assuming what he is thinking isn't ignorant. Or that having a wrinkled visage eliminates you from acting. Because there are no old people in movies.
- Garofoli, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2He has been enjoying himself. I was skiing out west several years back and I saw Clint, we proceeded to introduce ourselves. It was awesome.
- Garofoli, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2Let's hope, I like being graced by his amazing eye for film making.
- karmazon, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2I hope he wears a poncho in his last movie.
- GUTTS, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2I always thought Clint Eastwood was born to play Roland Deschaine from the Dark Tower books. Oh wait that movie was never made...
- vl002001, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2from the abbreviated title i thought it said his next movie was gonna be "gran turismo"... i was disappointed, i thought he'd make a great skyline gtr
- Mikey129, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2eh... Ill digg it it up, it's an ok song.
- SolituSneiku, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2seeing a cross dressing dancing De Niro was worth what was originally an excuse to make out with a girl that night, wow that came out very wrong
- RIAAagent, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2The whole dollar trilogy was awesome.
- Digital.Totem, on 11/24/2008, -0/+215 years ago would have been a great time for him to have stared in Stephen Kings Dark Tower series as movies.
- vegel, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Damn, that didn't 'make my day'
- fugazied, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Yeah, unlike Eastwood, De Niro has gotten worse as he got older.
- Jhiaxuz, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Reserved for Danny Glover.
- Blandyman, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1And hemorrhages from ulcers :(
- inactive, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Clint's done a lot of great stuff, he deserves a good rest.
- magneteye, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1I, Personally, wish he would do one last Western film.
- meed, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1this is a sad day, I was hoping for one last nameless stranger/gunman western to be made.
- markperia, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1whoa there... he's not dead yet. The guy still has a lot left in him. He just oozes talent.
- Stoneman89, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1I'm all about the Spaghetti Westerns
