Clint Eastwood Versus Spike Lee
delsquacho.com — By now a lot of you have probably heard the low-level brouhaha going on between Clint Eastwood and Spike Lee. For those of you who haven ’t, here’s the Cliff’s Notes version: Spike Lee is whining like a little bitch because Clint Eastwood didn’t show any black soldiers in his two World War II movies.

However, I don't see you lamenting over the land your house is on that you stole from the Native Americans. I also don't see you pissed at your own countrymen who sold their fellow Africans into slavery. (As Gregory MacDonald wrote, "Which is worse? To buy people or to sell them?")
- dsoleil, on 06/12/2008, -0/+4I tend to agree with delsquacho. Why is Spike Lee complaining 2 years after the movies' release. Lee also didn't mention that "Letters" is the first mainstream american film to tell the WWII story from the perspective of the Japanese army. Eastwood should be commended for his work. I'm sure Spike Lee will be commended for his contributions when his film is released too.
