- diggan8, on 07/30/2009, -2/+61It's probably a good thing the movie isn't based upon what I'd do....
Opening Credits

End Of Movie - chrismwood, on 07/30/2009, -3/+42I think 'The Box' is a great nickname for Cameron Diaz.
- hijinks, on 07/31/2009, -1/+28anyone notice how this is the same as
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrKnhOJ-R80 - MarkBrent, on 07/31/2009, -1/+23Deal...or no deal...
- MScrip, on 07/31/2009, -0/+21The end of that trailer has the theme music from Saw.
It probably came from some other movie first... but I know it from Saw. - rwbrinso, on 07/30/2009, -4/+15Is this a remake of the Vagina Monologues?
- onoitzphil, on 07/31/2009, -0/+11I'm so sick of these Staples' commercials!
- NathanielJ, on 07/31/2009, -2/+13The Box is based on a Twilight Zone episode named "Button, Button", which came out decades before that short film.
- searcade, on 07/31/2009, -0/+10Lol at trailers these days, so many spoilers
- ahhell, on 07/31/2009, -1/+10She looks like a frog.
- TurdZilla, on 07/31/2009, -0/+9I would have putted the button before the guy came to explain what happen when you put it, Just for ***** and giggles....
the money would have been just a bonus :-) - lnxfi, on 07/31/2009, -0/+8Congratulations! You win 1 internet point for stealing that right from the website's comment section.
- CaughtThinking, on 07/31/2009, -1/+8This is ripped off from an old Twilight Zone episode.
-Blah blah you don't know random person will die
-anguish

OHSNAP - Bovorik, on 07/31/2009, -0/+7"What's in the box?! What's in the box!!!!"
- bazzarr, on 07/31/2009, -0/+6"CAMERON DIAZ’ BOX HAS A BIG RED BUTTON" oooooooooooook then.
- ontain, on 07/31/2009, -0/+6doesn't sound like a very tough choice to me ;)
- surf314, on 07/31/2009, -0/+5And also a short story that was discussed in the article you are commenting on.
- nigelsan, on 07/31/2009, -0/+5i got a dick in a box...
- Ross667, on 07/31/2009, -0/+5It’s actually based on a short story (Button, Button) written by Richard Matheson, the original author of I Am Legend, The Shrinking Man and What Dreams May Come.
- buddamus, on 07/31/2009, -0/+5Theres ***** in the box just like there is all over this movie
- BlueDjinn, on 07/31/2009, -0/+5Interesting. The Twilight Zone episode has one very cool ending; the short film you linked to has a different, but also very cool ending.
Judging by the trailer, it sounds like the Cameron Diaz version has a completely different ending from either of those.
Fascinating how the same story can have three totally different endings, at least two of which are awesome... - Jmorris5ten, on 07/31/2009, -0/+4The musical score being the same as the same score kinda of ruins it. Nothing against the Saw series, its just that when you use song that is easily recognizable on another movie, it kind of gives your movie a low budget/un-original feeling, like you cant come up with your own music for a high end movie.
- induren, on 07/31/2009, -1/+5Oh good lord. An entire movie made from a Twilight Zone episode, that preachers use in their sermons from time to time. Pathetic.
- Gnasche, on 07/31/2009, -0/+4I have a feeling the moral will play out much like "Indecent Proposal". It's just a stranger's box instead of Demi Moore's.
- Quaterni0n, on 07/31/2009, -0/+4Nothing! Absolutely nothing! You're so stupid! STUPID!
- aside, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3People don't seem to know of this episode, but it was a good one..
That being said, it's absolutely stupid to make a movie based on it, because the entire point of the movie is the ending, which is just a google query away from being ruined for newcomers. That plus the fact that it is about 10 seconds of story.. - kingofinternet, on 07/31/2009, -1/+4i hope they paid frank a lot of money because this looks like a piece of *****
- inactive, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3there was time now.........THERE WAS TIME NOW!
its not fair! - thinboyslim, on 07/31/2009, -1/+4yeah here's the same story from over a month ago
http://digg.com/d3uoAp - NathanielJ, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3Why would we care about the submission of a non-power user? This trailer is so much more interesting now that MarkBrent has shown it to us.
- dlizman, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3"How'd it get burned! How'd it get burned!"
- lexdigg, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3The movie is based on a Twilight Zone episode:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6mUElrvpB0 - funkywood, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3Reminds me of a joked scrawled on a toilet wall:
Why doesn't Ken ever get Barbie pregnant?
Because he comes in another box. - moliver21, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3If you push the big red button, it puts the movie on hard mode?
- RealmDown, on 07/31/2009, -1/+4No, you're thinking of the new medical documentary, "The Angina Monologues"
- ijake, on 07/31/2009, -0/+3It's pretty normal for new films to use music from other movies in their trailers since the score is usually one of the last things completed for a film. The Trailer for LOTR: The Two Towers used a more robust version of the theme from Requiem For A Dream, which I believe has actually been used in quite a few other trailers. A different arrangement of the music from Batman Begins was used in one of the trailer for V For Vendetta. More recently, pieces from the score to Solaris were used in the first trailer for District 9. Seems to be a pretty common film industry practice.
- etx313, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2Insert box joke here.
- yellowfish04, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2AHHHHHHHHH BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- davdev, on 07/31/2009, -3/+5Agree completely. Just because someone films something that makes no god damn sense doesn't make him a great director.
After having seen both those moives, Richard Kelly owes me 4 hours of my life back - BxBoy, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2I think most people know it from Saw.
- skunkman62, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2also nasty
- jander86, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2DO NOT PRESS
- inactive, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2I haven't wanted to see Cameron's box since Charlie's Angels 2. I don't care how grand her beef curtains are, I don't want to see anything that was a part of that God-awful movie.
- leif777, on 07/31/2009, -1/+3bleh... Justin been in that box... do not want
- lilbitmoreslyk, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2I've been hearing/reading about this movie for YEARS, finally a trailer.
- rompom7, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2Ow man.. This was looking pretty cool until the saw music started playing.
- EskNerd, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2I've always preferred the TZ ending to the original. :)
- EchoMike, on 07/31/2009, -2/+4Short story ending: Some time after she presses the button, her husband is killed with the reason being that she "never really knew her husband at all."
Twilight Zone ending: Once she presses the button, the previous "button-presser" is killed and the box is taken away to be given to the next "button-presser." (HINT, HINT)
^^^ BTW, SPOILER ALERT!!! ^^^ - IvanB, on 07/30/2009, -4/+6Director of Donnie Darko, he has to live up to it.
- Thunderballs, on 07/31/2009, -0/+2All's I knows is somebody I don't know would be dead right away.
