- tmccool, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2smack that and retract that
- Member148, on 03/20/2008, -1/+11Oh Yeah! Well your mother wears Army boots!
- sjbdallas, on 03/20/2008, -0/+11Khan FTW. Best smack talk ever.
- swanny89, on 03/20/2008, -1/+27Good Lord Adama is a bad-ass.
- verto351, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Good Lord Adama FTW.
- rhinopig, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Adama is a bad-ass, but that scene doesn't deserve to be on the list. The reason is the confrontation of the 2 battlestar's vipers is where that episode ends, but in the next episode they break off and don't actually fire at each other. It was a total cop out.
- mddawso, on 03/20/2008, -2/+3Probably things you shouldn't repeat in public.
- panpizza15, on 03/20/2008, -4/+3What? No Star Fox 64?
- lazersailer, on 03/20/2008, -3/+1I don't know why you're getting dugg down.
unless it is for the gay Slippy Toad.
- lazersailer, on 03/20/2008, -3/+1I don't know why you're getting dugg down.
- WaxenPith, on 03/20/2008, -16/+6Am I the only one that thinks that anything besides Star Wars is extremely lame?
I mean how many crappy Sci-Fi channel pilots for shows that never took off can you watch?- Nysul, on 03/20/2008, -2/+9Farscape/Babylon 5 > Starwars
- carpeclunes, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3Battlestar>Starwars>Firefly>Farscape>Babylon 5>Murder She Wrote
- acdcfanbill, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3Factoring in the prequels, Firefly > Star Wars IMHO.
- Nysul, on 03/20/2008, -2/+9Farscape/Babylon 5 > Starwars
- shiftclick, on 03/20/2008, -5/+4Uhm..., "Ice Pirates" is the greatest space movie ever, and mklopez with suck you off if you feel differently. FTW
- VitriolAndAngst, on 03/20/2008, -1/+5I liked Ice Pirates. That movie was panned by so many people, but I thought it was a hell of a lot of fun -- kind of like Ruthless People or Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in space. Though a comedy, it was more plausible than many other drek I've seen passed off as sci-fi, of course, that isn't saying much.
- aidave, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2Don't forget Flesh Gordon 2. That movie is ball bustingly funny!!!
- wootup, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2I had to stop watching around the part where Flesh Gordon got into a fist fight with people in poop suits.
- aidave, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2Don't forget Flesh Gordon 2. That movie is ball bustingly funny!!!

- StevesJobs, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2Surely there was some smack-talking in Hitchhiker's Guide!
- neojinge, on 03/20/2008, -0/+7KHAAAANNNN!!!!!
- Lynxpro, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5
As much as I liked that scene with Eccleston, I think The Doctor dished out a lot more smack-talkin' against his enemies when Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker were portraying the role. - FireAtWill, on 03/20/2008, -1/+4Instant Digg, this is outstanding. After writing the crappiest project on a subject that isn't even relevant anymore and dreaming about some sort of awesome Sci-Fi project this is the first thing I see. Thanks!
- VitriolAndAngst, on 03/20/2008, -2/+3All these are good clips.
But empirically, by any level you care to compare -- Susan Ivanova in Babylon 5 wins the smack-down. You actually believe that she is pissed off, because she can act. If you watched the show, this was a plausible build up of "fed up" and "pissed off" and Ivanova pulled it off in 30 seconds. It could easily have been corny -- like the rest of these.
Second place goes to Adama -- but this wasn't the best lines for Smack talk. I'd say Star Buck usually gets the best lines. The President and Adama are in close running. Strange that the ladies have caught up so quickly to the guys.
I'm thinking that Iron Man, is going to add a whole new chapter, and win the next Smack Down contest.
I'm amazed there is nothing from Blade or Clint Eastwood. Half those pictures were nothing but Smack Talk. Was there a time cutoff for these?- Akairenn, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1They needed a different clip for Babylon 5. Delenn > Ivanova, TBH. Ivanova's always pissed off. When Delenn tells you to be somewhere else, you be somewhere else.
Can't agree more with your take on Adama - I've yet to hear anything come out of Adama's mouth that I'd consider smack. The man doesn't need smack to make the point that you're about to be on the receiving end of a nuclear mission order.
- Akairenn, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1They needed a different clip for Babylon 5. Delenn > Ivanova, TBH. Ivanova's always pissed off. When Delenn tells you to be somewhere else, you be somewhere else.
- OSuX, on 03/20/2008, -2/+1Dugg for the mention of Starblazers...
- InfinitySnatch, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2"Are all the lights in the heavens our enemy?"
"They aren't worthy to be our opponents. I'll twist them out of space-time! Gurren Lagann! Spin on! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!" - Magee1205, on 03/20/2008, -4/+2Is there always that much camera spinning in Battlestar Galactica? That would drive me crazy.
- Gorrondonuts, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3No there usually isn't any. It works well in context because the entire episode had been building to this moment.
- Magee1205, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1You must enjoy shaky cams too.
- Gorrondonuts, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3No there usually isn't any. It works well in context because the entire episode had been building to this moment.
- Farik, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6Dugg for the Admiral.
- carpeclunes, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3He was just Commander then.
- RealmDown, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3It was still a trap.
- Farik, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Touche.
- carpeclunes, on 03/20/2008, -0/+3He was just Commander then.
- lazersailer, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Arguably first-movie Agent Smith has some of the greatest smack lines.
or Cypher for that matter. - aidave, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1That was pretty good! I liked the clips... especially the last Dr. Who one. That was cool.
Babylon 5 ... now THAT had a great plot! I think the last smackdown was the best tho.
Would be great to get video clips of the other scenes! - samryan, on 03/20/2008, -2/+0Do a barrel roll!
- blackpanther989, on 03/20/2008, -4/+0NO FARSCAPE?
- charliejane, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Actually Farscape is in there.
- ((PolyAst)), on 03/20/2008, -0/+3No Dalek Vs. Cybermen?! 1:45 in... Oh yeah! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuFuTah4UXw :)
- isunktheship, on 03/20/2008, -0/+5Dugg for SERENITY! Firefly lives on...
- BossKey, on 03/20/2008, -0/+6There's another great one from Babylon 5..
Delenn: "Babylon 5 is under our protection. Withdraw or be destroyed."
Earth Force: "Negative. We have authority here. Do not force us to engage your ship."
Delenn: "Only one Human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari fleet.
He is behind me. You are in front of me.
If you value your lives...be somewhere else."
And the fleet backs off.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFvkgfBXHPA - Sub7, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2No smack in local please.
- Virgule, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1We didn't want to talk anyway
- Kisama, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2Dugg for Susan Ivanova!
- higgib, on 03/20/2008, -1/+2They missed out by far the best smack talk in sci-fi! baal and general o'neil in season 8 of stargate SG-1
GATE ROOM. Jack and Gilmor walk in. Baal’s hologram is standing on the ramp.
O'NEILL: Baal -- sorry to keep you waiting. Just taking a little nap.
BAAL: The deadline has passed.
O'NEILL: Yeah, look, we're having a little technical difficulty here.
BAAL: Are your friends' lives meaningless to you?
O'NEILL: Hey! This is not a stall tactic. I would have called you sooner but we can't dial out at the moment.
BAAL: Why not?
O'NEILL: Well, I'm not really sure. Here's some irony for you: Carter -- have this thing fixed like that. (He clicks his fingers, then turns to the Control Room.) No offence there, Siler.
SILER (into the microphone): Uh, none taken, sir.
O'NEILL: Good. (He turns back to Baal.) So, why don't you just send her on through. Before you know it you'll have old Camel-ass back in your grubby little mitts.
BAAL: You dare mock me.
O'NEILL: Baal, c'mon, you should know ... Of course I dare mock you.
BAAL: You have one more day. (His image disappears.)
GILMOR: Is it really wise to provoke him?
O'NEILL: It's what I do.- Matthew386x, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2While that is a very good scene, it does not take place in Space. I think that's a requirement for this list.
- kissedbypixis, on 03/20/2008, -1/+3Keep it simple.
Worf to Borg: "Assimilate this!" - bakeyman, on 03/20/2008, -4/+2What, no Zero Wing? Buried.
All your base are belong to us!- Matthew386x, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1... I believe it has to be a TV show to qualify for the list.
