I'm sure alot of Diggers didn't know what a boob looked like before the internet - but they learnt! - shiftt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6actually, there are two versions of "the corporation". The second one is slightly shorter than the original, here's the official explanation
WHY A SHAREWARE VERSION?
Mark Achbar, Executive Producer, Producer, and Co-director, explains: "When I discovered that over 500,000 people had downloaded The Corporation, I had mixed feelings. As a filmmaker and activist, one of my goals is to reach the largest possible audience. So from that perspective, it's an astounding success."
"But I also organized the financing of the film and have ongoing obligations to the individuals and public funders that invested in it. THE CORPORATION was a huge undertaking. Over two hundred people helped make the film, the DVD, and website, and worked on the outreach campaign, over a period of 8 years."
"I think most people downloading the film understand what an enormous effort it is to make a film like this and will support it, if there's a reasonably easy way to. So, I decided to release my own "shareware" version of the film, but with a short message at the beginning, asking viewers for a little financial consideration to help offset the costs of production and keep our outreach efforts going. We now have a "contribute" button on our website, www.thecorporation.com. I hope you’ll decide to use it, and encourage others to as well. —Thanks!" - psdiao, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Domza, i knew what a boob was the day I was born

- CrAzYTrevor, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I always find that geeks in general love documentaries. That whole "we seek after knowledge thing" I guess. Maybe its because "we've been spoon-fed baby food at school when we hungered for steak..."
- NanoStuff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Coincidentally I just watched Human 2.0 (under anthropology in this list). I gotta say, for a BBC presentation, that was piss poor. What the hell was the point of the little bastard children running around echoing back in whispers?
- Agent_M, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I also really enjoy the Bodyshock/Mindshock series, which don't appear to be listed there.
They're scattered around this guy's profile:
http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=Taitington
The most shocking one is probably the one called "Born with Two Heads":

- Willy99, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6this site has a ton of great documentaries to watch for free. the best of the best...
1) The Battle of Algiers - amazing look at terrorism... in the 1960s. You got the secret cells, the torture, the suicide bombers... like it is the same thing all over again. Tim Robbins has called this his #1 film of all time.
http://tesla.liketelevision.com/liketelevision/tuner.php?channel=955&format=movie&theme=guide
2) The Battle of Britain - Oh my, how times have changed. An interesting look at the world at war.
http://tesla.liketelevision.com/liketelevision/tuner.php?channel=29&format=movie&theme=guide
3) Duck n Die - a bizarre mix of civil defense films from the 50s... that is funny as hell.
http://tesla.liketelevision.com/liketelevision/tuner.php?channel=1047&format=tv&theme=guide
4) Marilyn Monroe Documentary - narrated by John Huston.
http://tesla.liketelevision.com/liketelevision/tuner.php?channel=135&format=movie&theme=guide
5) the bizarre "schlockumentaries of Africa and east asia are a thing to behold too. very strange.
Beyond Bengal and Africa Speaks are the best of this breed. Also - the Hitler era documentaries
of Leni Riefenstahl. Just search for documentary and get a list of 30 suggestions.

- Spudz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The God Delusion, one of Dawkin's docs, includes a lengthy discussion/argument with the great Ted Haggard, he of the quite embarrassing homosexuality "revelation." Good times.
Includes a claim by Haggard that he conference calls George Bush once a week. I wonder if those calls are still being taken? - Arkonnan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2> Check out that one with the Nephilim.
I watched about five minutes of that one, and all I can say is What..The..*****.
I might have given the guy the benefit of the doubt and kept going for the sheer entertainment value, but then they transitioned to the stoned hippy bantering on about the book of Genesis and that was it for me. ;p - TheOtherGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Awesome its got Mr Death - by Errol Morris...
Errol Morris is hands-down the best documentary maker going around.. - BlinkBoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4It'd be more awesome if my Wii could navigate the menu. I'll have to check it out on my pc tomorrow.
- elamr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That video is MIND BLOWING.

- Screamager, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"The Doomsday Code" in the Geo-politics section was incomplete (there's 47 minutes of it, but obviously its longer).
- Cyberpoop, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1All the links posted here for documentaries are great. When it's late and I'm too tired to read, putting on a documentary is a great way to drift off.

I've grown to like http://www.johnlocker.com the best. It's user powered so it gets updated all the time. - weisiguo, on 10/03/2008, -0/+0Best Online Documentaries is one of the originals in the genre, but it's getting a little stale to be honest. The owner hasn't updated it since the beginning of the year, half the links are dead and nearly half of what is left are pretty poor quality and old material.
Check out my site - Onine Documentaries 4 U - for something fresh.
Only a few months old and already more than 100 of the newest and best quality documentaries available.
