- biliabong6, on 07/15/2009, -0/+9First half of the movie - absolutely stellar.
Second half - absolutely awful.
And what a terribly filmed/directed ending. - minnymoo, on 07/15/2009, -1/+9At the midnight premiere, a couple of kids were running circles around the line with a poster that read "Snape Kills Dumbledore." Damned punks, haha.
- Linguo, on 07/15/2009, -1/+8If only Wolverine special F/X were half as good as Harry Potter's
- gcnaddict, on 07/15/2009, -1/+6It was amazing. The whole film rocked.
The special effects were actually quite tame (they weren't exaggerated), which made things "believable," if you can call it that. It was well done. - JackGrinnan, on 07/15/2009, -3/+7FX = Ef Exx = Effects = Your Mom
- shiftkgb, on 07/15/2009, -1/+5So it would then be a polished turd?
- trogdor1231, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4anyone who goes to a midnight showing probably knows how it ends anyways
- VikingBeatbox, on 07/15/2009, -1/+5I used to walk over the Millennium Bridge everyday to get to work. I can't wait to see the effects when I finally see the movie.
- escottberg, on 07/15/2009, -2/+5I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, but the movies are really cool. good read!
- Thebruce88, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Well, the whole portion of the last book where Harry **uh... sorta spoilder** wanders through the forest acting all emo and sad was pretty terrible. Otherwise, it was an excellent book.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -1/+3I thought the books got better as they went along. In fact, I thought the last two were the best of the series. Your Ernest comparison is just bizarre.
- Aidanjalali, on 07/15/2009, -1/+3Cinematography on this one was SUPERB - such beautiful scenes, and lovely special effects...much less action, but much more involving. I loved it - can't WAIT for the final two films!
- macapplejobs, on 07/15/2009, -2/+3There seemed to be a little bit of magic lost with this movie. It just didn't have the 'awe' factor the others did.
- AraleNorimaki, on 07/15/2009, -2/+3Town Kid: I shall put a magic spell on you!
Town Kid 2: I have blocked your spell wizard!
Kyle Broflovski: What are you guys doing?
Town Kid: We're playing Harry Potter!
Eric Cartman: Ha! Fags! - borez, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2effects you moron.
- MasterPain, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Not nearly as much action as the last film. More like a snogg-fest.
- ne0codex, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2*make that the music rather than the directing
Oh, and was there a NEED for innuendo? Seriously?
Did Ginny have to go down on Harry to tie his shoe, followed by a "Merry Christmas?"
Time better spent depicting the funeral of Dumbledore <(._.)> - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -3/+3Special Effects = Awesome
Directing = Horrible - otbeverly, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1Sarcasm fail
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -3/+2I can't believe they made us wait 8 extra months for this. It was the most inaccurate movie, and portrayed Hogwarts in a much different way then the book. There was no sense of fear, or urgency, or real doom. Gray skies and lack of color don't convey Rowlings atmosphere at all.
- JackGrinnan, on 07/15/2009, -2/+1I'm seeing it tonight! *exposes self to hundreds of teenagers upon entering theatre, gets arrested*
- TheKingInYellow, on 07/15/2009, -4/+3the entire harry potter series (books and films) is very similar to the ernest films. the first one was great and steadily get more boring and stupid. the only thing that made half blood prince worth a damn was dumbledore getting snuffed and you had to read through the whole damned book of people sitting around and making big plans before anything good happens. deathly hallows is by far the longest and dumbest of the series. it's just full of itself and not very rewarding.
- PHPnerd, on 07/15/2009, -4/+2I've always wondered what the "FX" stood for in "Special FX", can someone fill me in?
