  • paradigmx, on 09/04/2009, -0/+3Stewie and Beavis and Butthead are completely different characters, Stewie is popular because of his social commentary and portrayal of childhood. Beavis and Butthead where never intended to be intelligent humor, Stewie is.

    The best way to watch Beavis and Butthead is to just let yourself be entertained, you don't need to think, you don't need to understand, you just need to laugh.

    I think some of you people don't like Beavis and Butthead for the same reason you don't like Michael Bay movies, because you refuse to turn off your brain and just be entertained. Until you let yourself be mindlessly entertained, you will never understand it. It's as simple as that.

  • paradigmx, on 09/04/2009, -1/+2Beavis and Butthead wasn't popular because of social commentary or it's portrayal of high school, it was never intended to draw thought provoking commentary from anyone. Beavis and Butthead was inane humor with no purpose or reason and it was a huge hit.

    As far as Comedy goes, Beavis and Butthead did it's job, they put 2 dimwitted fools in normal scenarios and let them be dimwitted fools.

    It was also awesome!

    Watch it again ... the guy who looks like Butt-head talks about two sluts he met in Highland and how he did both of them. Then the one who looks like Beavis claims he did one of them too, and gets slapped by the Butt-head lookalike.
