- ipaul08, on 10/11/2007, -17/+2It looks the same from the Batmobile in Begins
- fishrjv, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17why would they want to change it? that thing kicks ass
- directive0, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The great thing about this batmobile is unlike the Tim Burton one the turbojet engine actually makes sense. On the old batmobile batman actually sat pretty much INSIDE the engine...or atleast...thats what it looked like with the exhaust at the very middle rear and the compression fan and intake clearly visible at the front. Now the D shaped intakes are off to the side behind the CofG and the exhaust remains middle set and rear. Its BADASS, great that they decided to go an ENTIRELY different way with it. Unlike those abortions with Clooney and Kilmer.
Oops, replied to wrong thing, sorry.
- nox327, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11It looks like the same one from the first movie, why is this interesting.
This is interesting, Batman's Bike
http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/batcycle.jpg- Quakes, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Not true. The pod has the same wheels as the front wheels used on the Tumbler, but the back wheels on the Tumbler are different.
So unless there's a hidden wheel in there, or there's some crazy morphing going on, I don't know. - spiffytech, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Of course there's crazy morphing. Haven't you seen this year's summer movie list?
- Quakes, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Not true. The pod has the same wheels as the front wheels used on the Tumbler, but the back wheels on the Tumbler are different.
- heythisismyname, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8someone NEEDs to make a street legal version for the public
- xrisnothing, on 10/11/2007, -16/+5Am I the only one that thinks that the tumbler is ugly? The tumbler and Katie Holmes ruined Begins for me. I just hope the Batpod (I die inside every time I hear that name) doesn't ruin this movie for me.
- Racerx52, on 10/11/2007, -6/+31"Am I the only one that thinks that the tumbler is ugly? "
Yes. - codwif, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8The tumbler is pretty cool in my opinion, and ya, Katie Holmes was not one of the reasons to see that movie.
- silverwolfe, on 10/11/2007, -13/+3I think the tumbler is ugly as well. I want a sleeker and sexier batmobile, he's a frickin' billionaire! D:
- xrisnothing, on 10/11/2007, -12/+3A tank just does not fit in with Batman's ninja-detective motif.
- norman619, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4The Tumbler is a cool armored ATV-like all around kick ass vehicle. I sure as woudln't turn one down if they offered one to me.
- silverwolfe, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3@norman619
It would have to get at least 28mpg for me to take it. - palmer, on 10/11/2007, -6/+39"I think the tumbler is ugly as well. I want a sleeker and sexier batmobile, he's a frickin' billionaire!"
Mac user. - silverwolfe, on 10/11/2007, -11/+2@palmer
Happily using Windows XP. - JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2@silverwolfe
It looks like it gets 28gpm not 28mpg. - BbIT, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4what do you want him to drive? a pink escalade with teddy bear spinners?

- dirtyhand, on 10/11/2007, -9/+2WTF... I thought this was gonna be based on the Frank Miller graphic novel...
- norman619, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I hate when a movie is "loosely" based on. It usually means the movie will be utter crap. Not saying this one will be. Batman Begins gives me hope for this next film. I say at least wait till the trailers to see what they are actually doing with it.
- wiggles, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3@Norman:
Not necessarily... Blade Runner was very loosely based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by PK Dick. The plot in the book was completely different.
That being said, I learned from the Star Wars prequels that you never get so excited over a movie that it could never live up to your expectations. - norman619, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Yes Bladerunner is one of the exceptions. But usually when they do this they loose what made the story in the book great and turn it into some commercial shadow of what it could have been had they stayed turer to the source. When they decide to do this they should at the very least get some competant writers. Great CG can't cover really ***** writing. You mentioned teh Star Wars prequals. They are a great example of this.
- norman619, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I'm still waiting for "The Dark Knight Returns" but I doubt they will make it. Not sure they'd liek to show Superman get the crap kicked out of him by an elderly Batman.
- dirtyhand, on 10/11/2007, -12/+1wow this movie is gonna suck, I honestly thought it was based on The Dark Knight Returns... pass

- StandardsDT, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1What I want to see is this bad boy in action. And when I mean in action I mean in public outside of the movie.
- Emrtr4, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1If only the tumbler had a nice, say like a Masarati...and Ipod integration with the Audi S8 B&O sound system, then it would be the coolest car ever....btw
if you drive a car like that, your not allowed to care about the enviorment. - Vtorch, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Rumor has it, this batmobile is supposed to explode, thus paving the way for a brand new one.
- gage006, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Dugg down because I don't want to see them replace this batmobile. Batman and Robin batmobile part 2 /gag

- otatop, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1duggmirror didn't catch it. It usually helps to check whether a mirror is working or not before posting it.
- Treoinmypocket, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Why is it called the "tumbler"?
- it doesn't tumble....
Shouldn't a tank-like/supposed to be fairly indestructible and fast superhero mobile be fast looking? Shouldn't the tires be protected in some way?
I mean really - the whole thing is just stupid and since the new batman came out I get distracted by the silliness of this vehicle and its derivatives.
And yes...lol..I REALIZE its a movie - a SUPERHERO movie at that - and I have to suspend disbelief in the 1st place...but, suspending disbelief doesn't mean I have to take major hallucinogens to accept it. Does it?- drem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No, but apparently it means you have to take Haterade.
- twist3d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0no, but they help.
- directive0, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Wait a second... you're telling me you find the original "Batman" or even the horrible "Batman Forever" cars to be MORE plausible then the premise for this batmobile?
C'mooooooooon.
Before: Batman made a jet powered super sleek car in his cave with the help of his english butler!
Now: Batman takes an existing piece of mothballed military hardware, slaps a coat of paint on it and rocks radballs over gotham!
- drem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I think it's sweet for what it's supposed to be... BATMAN'S FIRST RIDE! Seriously, 1st gen vehicles shouldn't be tip-top, things, especially with a character such as Batman where Bruce Wayne still doesn't know where he is going to go with his alter persona of "Batman."
Do you remember the Batmobile's of Valmer and Clooney?? Their design was so cheesy that they actually couldn't even go faster than 15mph!
Its functional for what he needs for the moment. I agree that it'll probably go boom sometime in this movie to make for a newer version, now that he's established with the city and police dept. I was amazed they didn't do it in the first one actually (name one movie where they introduce an awesome vehicle and then destroy it in the very next scene). - NOLAFF-JD, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I can't pick the better car (either Batman, or Batman Begins are my favorite), but I really like the rugged and serious let's get to business look of the tumbler. It makes all other bat mobiles look like a play toy. This one looks like a tank made to look like and suv in car size proportions with a freaking jet engine.
- Terr01, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1It's obvious they based a lot of the appearance off of the F-117
http://images.google.com/images?um=1&tab=wi&client=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=en&q=f-117
But why in the world does a street car need radar transparency!? - heathtown, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Maybe it'll transform into an actual bat!
- xenoploid, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1the tumbler looks alright. the way it moves is the coolest thing, but it needs some bigger blades coming off the back at the very least.
- simplejoe79, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It looks coool.....and yeah the coolest thind about it is the way it moves.....
