- belebih, on 07/19/2008, -0/+28The posters show one of the big reasons why the Kilmer and Cloony Batman films didn't work: too much color! Batman and Batman Returns both have this dark aesthetic with mostly just black and white plus blueish overtones (typical Tim Burton), which is what Nolan did on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
But when you look at the Batman Forever and Batman and Robin films, it's like the unicorns from My Little Pony suicide bombed the hell out of the sets which nauseated Rainbow Bright making her barf rainbows all over the place.
