- synthsrkl, on 12/26/2007, -0/+26this is something a stoned lottery winner would do
- johnkyoungoh, on 12/26/2007, -0/+20That would be freaking sweet to watch horror movies in.
- theysayjump, on 12/26/2007, -0/+19Do you think his Batcave is set up like a movie theatre?
- spicoli77, on 12/26/2007, -5/+19better than the Star Trek theater room.
- tranzport, on 12/26/2007, -2/+15eh, it's all taste, really. i'm no star trek fan, but i'm a home theater lover. the batcave version isn't really inviting. it looks cold, but still cool looking. the star trek one is really nice. imo, a home theater, if you're really gonna do it up (like this and the ST one) should feel welcoming. i don't get that with this one. but still creative!
- AshamedAmerican, on 12/26/2007, -0/+13His billionaire parents are murdered in front of him?
- AshamedAmerican, on 12/26/2007, -0/+12Actually if the door looked like a clock, it would be opened by turning the hands to 10:47, not piano keys :p
*sinks back into the fan boy shadows* - mvanwing, on 12/26/2007, -1/+12Where does a "retired naturalist" get that kind of money?
- volvoman, on 12/26/2007, -0/+9Alfred, fetch me a beer...
- gthyb, on 12/26/2007, -0/+7That's gotta up the resell.
- Synn, on 12/26/2007, -0/+6...or Batman.
- PayneX, on 12/26/2007, -0/+6Unmarried.
- inactive, on 12/26/2007, -1/+6The goddamn Batman!
- Hollic, on 12/26/2007, -0/+5I wonder if the doorway looks like a clock, and is opened by piano keys.
- inactive, on 12/26/2007, -0/+4But a CRT projector is not a fixed pixel array like LCD or DLP. 2500 x 2000 is actually its horizontal and vertical resolution. This projector will show native 1080p content as good as any projector in the world, period. Only thing about 9" CRTs is they are a bitch to keep aligned and white balanced.
- carguy84, on 12/26/2007, -3/+7Hmm, what's with the analog projector?
- Lane, on 12/26/2007, -0/+4Made of win and guano. You can never have too much guano.
- foofoobee, on 12/26/2007, -1/+5Nope, you pull back a bust of Shakespeare and slide down a pole. For my money, that's the only way to enter a batcave.
- tehseanzor, on 12/26/2007, -1/+5you say that like its a bad thing
- crowbar77, on 12/26/2007, -0/+3Thats what she said.
- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 12/26/2007, -1/+4Are you DENSE? Are you RETARDED? Who the hell do you think I am?
http://songsinthecity.blogspot.com/2005/12/im-godd ... - inactive, on 12/26/2007, -0/+3Because the projector uses CRTs that doesn't make it any worse than a DLP or LCoS. That Sony G90 happens to blow away any DLP, 1 or 3 chip at any price. Far, FAR better black levels. CRTs are just a pain in the ass to set up and maintain though.
- swanny89, on 12/26/2007, -0/+3If I saw that house, I could have no other. Screw what the wife says.
- Hoxie, on 12/26/2007, -1/+4are you dense? are you retarded or something?
- infinitus64, on 12/26/2007, -3/+52500 x 2000 is not 1080p it is higher than that it is closer to wqxga (2560 x 1600)
- AWooWoo, on 12/26/2007, -0/+2And for my 1st wish I wish I was Bruce Wayne
- Tordenflesk, on 12/26/2007, -1/+3Exactly, it's 2000P
- Hoxie, on 12/26/2007, -1/+3Holy jeepers digg, that media center is huge!
- guinpen, on 12/26/2007, -1/+3very nice, dark and it draws attention to the tv being really the only modern thing other than the chairs. but it seems very topical. like watching monsters inc or whatever is in that picture would seem almost wrong
- AshamedAmerican, on 12/26/2007, -1/+3Well theaters should be DARK first and foremost, to shut out everything but the movie. The ST one is too damn bright, it doesnt make me want to watch a movie in it, it makes me wanna play BRIDGE COMMANDER (still the best ST game btw) in there!
- tendonut, on 12/26/2007, -1/+3Well since it is being projected, wouldn't the signal have to become analog anyway? I doubt that thing was cheap. I think the article said it was $36,000
- HyperionHK, on 12/26/2007, -0/+2are you referring to the 110" screen as tiny looking?
- thebillgonadz, on 12/26/2007, -0/+2I wonder how many times that guy has watched Batman in there.
- zzzpoohzzz, on 12/26/2007, -0/+2thats big enough for you??
i would never be able to put up with something that puny - inactive, on 12/26/2007, -0/+2Apparently the people who buried me didn't get the reference. I'm glad there's someone out there who did.
- SPARTACVS, on 12/26/2007, -0/+2One way or another it's mad pees. And the more pees the better.
- edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -0/+2....that's what she said.
- madcaps1980, on 12/27/2007, -0/+1"Where does he get those wonderful toys?"
- louiemantia, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1I dunno, there doesn't seem to be anything "Batman" about it. I was disappointed. It's just a "cave" theme.
- Hoxie, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1virgin
- lidong, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1I perfer the spider family theater, if there's any
- speedyrev, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1I don't like the projector choice, but the room decor is cool.
- junger, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1/film crops out watermarks for their images. the original is at
http://www.cepro.com/article/the_batcave_home_thea ... - edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1pics or it didn't happen. Sorry, sexually frustrated here.
- edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1I was thinking it might be freaking sweet to, ahem, not watch the movie. Then again, isn't that what you're supposed to do at a horror movie anyways?
- nullchris, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1Brilliant!
- edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1Maybe Santa will bring you one, oh wait! Tough luck!
- MrDeflok, on 12/28/2007, -0/+1What about audio? I mean, with so few flat surfaces wouldn't the audio be a bit iffy? Cool, though.
- edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -1/+2This is actually where Robin goes to monitor the closed circuit camera he put in Batgirl's changing room.
Oracle found out accidentally, and let me tell you - she was pissed! - edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -1/+2Well, (ahem, fanboi here) Babs and Dick did have a relationship.
