skynet is down! - steger, on 04/28/2009, -5/+30granted an R movie back in 91 could pass for pg-13 now.

- Arby3000, on 04/28/2009, -1/+9Sir, you made my day.
Wait if it only takes about 120 diggs to stop skynet, why didnt they think of this in the movies! - DevSingh1359, on 04/28/2009, -2/+9If T2 were out today I'm pretty sure it would've been rated PG-13. Regardless, I think Terminator Salvation should've been rated R...but that won't stop me from seeing the movie. I really doubt the movie will suck...based on the trailers and what I've read on the film so far, it's got quality acting, great writing and an intriguing storyline...which is what I watch movies for, not blood guts and boobies. If I want boobies I watch porn.
- DevSingh1359, on 04/28/2009, -0/+7***** amateur.
- antdude, on 04/29/2009, -0/+6In a different timeline?
- vtobar, on 04/28/2009, -1/+7Film looks hot!
- iDoraemon, on 04/28/2009, -4/+9Now all we need is for word of a new season of T:SCC and rave reviews for the upcoming Terminator Salvation game, and I'll be in Terminator heaven.
- DevSingh1359, on 04/28/2009, -1/+6The Dark Knight was "half-assed"?
- 1longtime, on 04/29/2009, -0/+5The entire series (up until now) was R.
Don't pretend that doesn't matter. - DevSingh1359, on 04/28/2009, -1/+6Terminator 3 ended the franchise WELL for you?

No one said the entire series had to be about preventing Judgment Day. As a hardcore Terminator fan, I personally have been waiting for years to see a movie about John Connor leading the Resistance against Skynet. - DevSingh1359, on 04/28/2009, -0/+5Funny, everyone else I know said the exact opposite. That the first trailer was lame and the second one set to NIN was what piqued their interest in the movie.
- spepin, on 04/28/2009, -1/+6I never realized John Connor and Batman were the same person.
Really pumped for this flick. - jmd2121, on 04/28/2009, -0/+4The very first one starts with Bale saying "You and me..."
How long before someone remixes the rest of the audio with "we're done professionally" clips? - bnorman, on 04/28/2009, -7/+11I don't get how PG-13 automatically makes it bad. Big deal, they can't say '*****' as much. Who cares?
- theundone, on 04/28/2009, -3/+7Whatever. There's plenty of good, grown-up PG-13 movies out there.
- chrisvc86, on 04/28/2009, -0/+3No.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 04/28/2009, -1/+4No Arnold you say? We'll see about that...
*looks around nervously and dives into bushes* - lofilotek, on 04/28/2009, -0/+3Legit link, thank you!
- robertisaar, on 04/28/2009, -6/+9is it just me or does it look more like a mix of terminator and transformers?
- DevSingh1359, on 04/28/2009, -1/+4Since when did ALL PG-13 movies suck?
- SaladCactusKing, on 04/28/2009, -15/+18Was awesome until "Rated PG-13"
- CbME, on 04/28/2009, -0/+2I think the CG is what helped make T2 such a ground breaking movie, although they combined it well with special effects....
- TeeBaagz, on 05/02/2009, -0/+2If that is what you want to believe then you will eventually believe it.
Personally, the two movies don't remind me of each other. Terminator Salvation looks to be driven by a plot and character progression while Transformers, like almost every single other Michael Bay movie, looks like it's driven by nothing but huge explosions, dramatic music, bad acting, and hype. - thizzlebot, on 04/30/2009, -0/+2Yeah but i doubt all the heart pulling and all that good ***** would fly now
- inactive, on 04/28/2009, -0/+2The second movie ended things well enough for me!
- hordak, on 04/28/2009, -1/+3This will own Transformers.
- EricAnderton, on 04/28/2009, -0/+2Honestly, I'm waiting for some lines of his rant to be *in* the movie - just to let us know that he was in on the whole thing from the start.
- omnithought, on 04/28/2009, -1/+3Jizzzzzz.....
Can't wait. - maddog, on 04/28/2009, -3/+5Don't judge the film on the rating. The film looks promising. give it a chance, watch it. If it sucks, I will be the first one saying it.
This won't be half as good as the Dark Knight, but considering the Dark Knight was PG-13, I won't judge until I see the movie. - tony0781, on 05/13/2009, -0/+2SAVE TSCC!!

THE FIGHT FOR TOMORROW STARTS TODAY!!! - verynegative, on 04/28/2009, -1/+3Mirror please.
- BabyWookie, on 04/29/2009, -0/+2I love everything Terminator and always wanted to see one set in the future. Thus, despite the whole McG thing and the rating downgrade, I am still looking forward to this movie. I was always fascinated with the concept of T-600's. Unfortunately, they didn't to the T-600's right in this movie. The T-600's that they have are creepy and cool as hell, but they are all wrong, according to established canon and logic.
The only reason for Skynet or the military to make humanoid-looking robots is for proper mobility and structure infiltration - being able to go every where the humans can go and hide: up the stairs, into a manhole, over a barricade, into a tight space, etc. The T4's T-600's 8 foot height and bulkiness defeat that whole purpose, making them walking machine gun nests.
Plus, the way that Reese described the T-600, I always thought that exoskeleton-wise, they were rather similar to the T-800's, but using less advanced alloy materials - less sturdy and heat-resistant. They were definitelly not walking tanks, but infilitators - their rubber flesh and skins would have allowed them to get fairly close to the resistance, before getting made. Considering the fact that, in a post-nuclear war future, most people would wear dust masks, as well as cover as much of their skin as possible and wear goggles to protect Plus, the way that Reese described the T-600, I always thought that exoskeleton-wise, they were rather similar to the T-800's, but using less advanced alloy materials - less sturdy and heat-resistant. T:TSCC featured the T-600's in a couple of episodes now and they did them the right away - exactly how I described.
- antdude, on 04/29/2009, -0/+2Humans won!
Is Kevin Rose, John Connor? - JustinHopewell, on 04/29/2009, -0/+2I'll digg you up, I was thinking the same thing as I watched these. I'm much more hopeful for this film than I was for Transformers.
Transformers pretty much hit my expectations: awesome cg special effects interspersed with mundane filler.
With this movie, it looks like there's some substance to go with all the effects. I could be completely wrong, but the tone set in these trailers, the quietness of it all, the dark looming sensation of doom you get while you watch it totally feels right for this series. I'm glad that they're trying to fill out this universe a bit more because it always felt like there was a lot more story to tell. That wasn't, you know, Terminator 3. - junkfoodjoe, on 04/28/2009, -0/+2haha oh wow.
- etruscan, on 04/29/2009, -2/+4James? He stopped directing these flicks years ago.
- thizzlebot, on 04/30/2009, -0/+2This movie will own, although i am highly disappointed with the pg-13 rating aka no "***** yous" or hearts getting pulled out
- knifesideleft, on 04/29/2009, -0/+2Looking at the clips, the parts with the "naked" terminator walking up the iron steps reminds me of the ending in the first terminator. I wouldn't be surprised if that part was some kind of remake of the first movie added in since its coming from a series almost as convoluted as the Zelda storyline.
- Malarie, on 04/29/2009, -0/+2Terminated.
- verynegative, on 04/29/2009, -0/+2New on digg also?
- keithnoir, on 04/29/2009, -0/+2Had it up hours ago but no big deal..
