- Kohdee, on 07/11/2009, -0/+22"Are We In A Good Article Recession?" is a more fitting title....
- JanusTheDoorman, on 07/11/2009, -2/+17Did she really just insult Christopher Eccelston's looks? He's The Mother-***** Doctor. Eat a dick, Meredith Woerner.
This summer's blockbusters suck ass because theaters are trying to get not just the usual group of guys in, but pack them in with their girlfriends, too, for the extra cash. Damn this economy! Why else would we have a ***** love story between Uhura and Spock? Really? ***** SPOCK?!
Why else does Transformers spend 20 minutes yammering on about Shia LeDouche and Megan "Angelina Jolie's Crackbaby" Fox's relationship problems? I DON'T GIVE A *****. SHOW ME ROBOTS PUNCHING OTHER ROBOTS.
WHY THE ***** ELSE WOULD THEY BOTHER WITH THE BIG, BLUE PENIS?
And why, why, why, why why would they make a Terminator who can love? They TERMINATE THE ***** OUT OF *****. THAT'S ALL THEY DO. ***** YOU MCG. - danwallace, on 07/11/2009, -0/+13Why would Nero go to Earth and start killing random individuals or send "secret troops" to kill anyone? He had one big-ass ship, a giant mining drill and some goo that implodes planets. He did pretty much all he could do with what he had.
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+9Wow. You're angry, huh?
- CeruleanRed, on 07/11/2009, -0/+9Bernie Madoff isn't villain enough for you?
- Gndoab, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6from what I understand, most of the movies that have turned out to be less than stellar (Wolverine, Transformers, Year One, so on and so forth) were written during the writer strike two or so years ago. is it any surprise they lack a plot?
- Quetz23, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Ozymandias wasn't a villain.....unless I got the whole point of watchmen wrong, its humanity as a whole that is evil.
- VinnieDaMac, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4Ozymandius is probably the greatest superhero. He sees the big picture, millions die in order for the billions to survive. Human nature itself is the villain of that film. I think Dr. Manhattan's quote towards the end of the film best describes how I feel about Ozymandius, "I understand, without condoning or condemning, I understand."
- TobiasParker, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4I get it. You are trying to refer to the 'Ol Po' Box in order to get dugg up.
Sorry, not a new meme. - inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4"Sure, he blew up Vulcan, but we didn't really see the destruction." I seem to remember about 15-20 minutes of the film dedicated to watching Vulcan fall to bits. As for the rest of the article, I'm not sure I can get behind a writer that wants to criticize movies that aren't even done yet, much less released.
Have you ever noticed how there are some people who are more interested in pasting "FAIL" on something than actually slowing down and asking themselves if they understand what they're looking at? - inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3I think Bruno makes a good villain.
- yocouchdigga, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3well put, sir.
- Bullislander05, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3What's up with all the complaining lately about movies? I've had a great time. I've seen Up, Star Trek, Transformers, and am planning on seeing The Hangover soon. All of those movies have satisfied me so far.
- BrokenCircle, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2We have only had about 5 decent villains in that past decade and most of them were not original to their movies to begin with.
- Advenger, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2Unbelievable!
You're doing it wrong! - Rogor, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2I abused Hollywood above but didnt put forward any alternatives, ok so here is my idea for hollywood, first visit any real life prison and then imagine your effeminate but intellectual pretty boy bad guy actor in that prison with the other real life humanoids, if you cant imagine the senario then neither can anyone else out in the real world and you need to try again.
- Twag86, on 07/11/2009, -3/+5Dude, in all the terminator movies the robots were crappy. The first one got beat by a waitress and someone with the build of a 17 year old. The second terminator got beat by the crappy one from the first film and a little boy.
The big blue penis was in the book, get over it.
Spock and Uhura was meh, but if you watch the first episode of Star trek TOS they have an exchange where she basically hits on him. - Kiboney, on 07/11/2009, -1/+2George Bush would've been a very lame villain.
- Rogor, on 07/11/2009, -1/+2The problem seems to be almost every ethnic group has a psychotic anti defamation legal team so we just keep getting pasty white nerd villians with or without a vague east european accent in every movie which comes out of Hollywood, seriously about the least villianous archetype out there.
- huntermcwhite, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1this article is full of grammatical errors. they should really try reading their ***** before posting it.
- superdigg, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1How was Nero a good villain?
- kinseyincanada, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1you know what im sick and tired of defending the end of the watchmen movie, it worked really well with the movie. The ending of the book is far better but the movie would of had to have all the small details, like the Island and the kidnapping of the graphic artists etc..
- hakkola, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1You think build matters when fighting robots?
Some of the best soldiers I served with were tiny, one guy was 5'9, 145 pounds, ***** fit though, had no problem carrying around 100 pounds of equipment and he was a scout. You don't have to be a 6'5 meat head to be a soldier. I would have had an easier time in the army out of high school at a fit but skinny 6'2 140 pounds than I did at a muscled 180, I couldn't run for *****. - mahadiga, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1Demand Cash Supply

- Gndoab, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1terminator was the other one I was trying to think of
- ramalingamn, on 07/11/2009, -0/+0because of the hero inflation
- MrJ777, on 07/11/2009, -1/+1Nero was a good villain. Ozy was badly cast but still very effective. The idea of making Ozy a pure villain shows an author who didn't read the Watchmen. But man did the author nail T4. Precalling the so called Cobra Commander (scuba edition!) a fail is obviously gonna be dead on the money. I don't agree but it totally on the whole but it was a good read.
- BriskT, on 07/11/2009, -3/+3blame it on crab people
- Nysul, on 07/11/2009, -1/+1How can you ***** up Terminator? On one hand I have no idea how to write a script, on the other hand somehow Terminator Salvation gets the green. Is it basically anyone who tries gets their own Terminator movie? Can anyone who writes screenplays interject?
- v1cph1rth, on 07/11/2009, -1/+1Yes, author fails for calling Star Trek and Transformers "underachieving" when they have BOTH grossed over 1/4 billion dollars.
