Press gangs, conscription, drafts, and sweat shops are NOT considered slavery by historians more well-known and respected than this Hoffman. These practices may sometimes have been carried out in a similar manner to slavery, but that still doesn't make them synonymous enough to state it as a fact without explaining more on the matter.
Additionally, Bloody Bess is a completely inaccurate nickname to use, because Elizabeth was NOT called this back in the day (although Bloody Mary certainly was) and it has only been stated by a handful of historians.
Revisionist History indeed. I bet he thinks Edison's "black apprentice" invented the light bulb, too. Hippie.
