This is kind of disappointing, I'll never be sold so well on a bad movie again
RIP - protodon, on 09/02/2008, -0/+43So are they going to hire Pablo Francisco to do all those movie trailers now??

- DariusMonsef, on 09/02/2008, -1/+22In a world where man has only his voice, one man will use that voice to change the world forever. (It is truly a sad day, but man there are some relieved out of work voice actors out there...)
- Dipster, on 09/02/2008, -0/+21Only if Little Tortilla Boy gets greenlighted.. :-D
- personalspace, on 09/02/2008, -0/+20In honor of his passing, I'll be imagining his voice reading all digg the comments today.
- alphabetagaga, on 09/02/2008, -0/+18That's a real, real shame. From the interview, he seemed like a really funny guy. RIP, you will be sorely missed.
- Sogui, on 09/02/2008, -1/+16THE HELL... the last thing I did last night was google him and watch a few spots on him (and his wikipedia) after seeing a reference to him.
It's the eeriest thing to have that happen and see this something like this the next morning, RIP. - mrjofo, on 09/02/2008, -1/+12I guess God needed a trailer voiceover
- PabloIV, on 09/02/2008, -3/+14"In a world without Don LaFontaine, we'd all have a lot more money"

- trer, on 09/02/2008, -0/+8Odd. I don't see any news about his death, not even in the LA Times. So I had to go with Fox News: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,414841,00.html
I can say, without a doubt, there will never be another like Don LaFontaine. He was the greatest. - crackerjack20, on 09/02/2008, -0/+8That's a great video, but this one is even funnier.

I got to sit in on a session with "The Don" once. He was really funny, joking around with the people in the room and on the patch, making fun of his own signature "IN A WORLD". He even gave me a slight wink on his way out.
He'll be missed. - jcani, on 09/02/2008, -0/+7GET DOWN AGAIN!!!
- DivineMonkey, on 09/02/2008, -2/+9Hopefully he'll be announcing deaths in the afterlife, if there is one =P

- pryoee4, on 09/02/2008, -0/+6Wow... this is the first time I have ever seen a news story on Digg before seeing it on CNN, MSNBC or other sites. There wasn't even BREAKING NEWS: in the title!
- zionKing, on 09/02/2008, -0/+6He was so serious sounding without taking himself too seriously. He embodied the saying "it's nice to be important, but more important to be nice." We'll miss you Don!
- pyr0x, on 09/02/2008, -0/+6You are being buried for being an inconsiderate douche bag.

- AlexWiggy, on 09/02/2008, -0/+3RIP Don.
I think everyone was getting to the stage where they knew how to say movie titles even before the trailer was released. - RodgerE1, on 09/02/2008, -0/+3Crappy movies will be even worse now.
