- uglybanana, on 01/29/2009, -1/+72I love it when a plan comes together.
- darthsand, on 01/29/2009, -4/+58I will not watch this unless Mr. T is in it. Who's with me?!
- luguiaro, on 01/29/2009, -1/+36My God, people can't read... Ridley Scott will PRODUCE the A-Team movie. Joe Carnahan will direct it.
- RoroCo, on 01/29/2009, -0/+35Per IMDB (before they started asking for money to view production movies)
Bruce Willis - Hannible Smith (good choice)
Woody Harrison as Murdoch - rumored (Woody does a good crazy)
Ice Cube - BA Baracus - rumored (meh... Vign Rhames might be better if not too old)
Not a bad cast. I would like to add
Ryan Reynolds - Face (but a lot of guys could play that role)
And for a bit of reminiscing...
"In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team." - ousthouse, on 01/29/2009, -0/+24Can't Mr. T play BA again? I know he's old. But anyone else playing that role would seem wrong.
- hasslinthehoff, on 01/29/2009, -0/+19Suggested plot points:
1. They get hired by a hot young lady.
2. Face immediately starts hitting on her.
3. B.A. refuses to fly and says, "I pity the fool."
4. Murdock gets committed to the funny house. Is rescued.
5. They are captured and are forced to fashion some weapon and/or vehicle from a pile of sheet metal.
6. Final fight scene involve a million rounds of ammo to go off with no injuries on either side.
7. Hannibal chews his cigar and smiles at the end. - serif69, on 01/29/2009, -1/+18I ain't gettin' on no plane!
- est1979, on 01/29/2009, -1/+17If you read the articles about this posted on Variety, Joe Carnahan is signed to direct, Ridley Scott is producing through Scott Free. Lame for the mis-info.
- stroudma, on 01/29/2009, -1/+17sweet, pitying fools will once again be the "in" thing to do
- lalalalamppost, on 01/29/2009, -2/+17Dear Movie Studios:
Please quit ***** on the past.
Thank you,
A Viewer - inactive, on 01/29/2009, -1/+14I hope no one gets shot.
- mikebb79, on 01/29/2009, -1/+13leave my memories alone!!!!!!!!!!!!
- vat0r, on 01/29/2009, -0/+11I pity the fool that tries replacing Mr T. My childhood hero.
- dalittle, on 01/29/2009, -2/+13I smell another Dukes of Hazard type movie. Geez, come up with something worth watching already.
- FearlessFreep, on 01/29/2009, -0/+10Just wait 15-20 years for a big-screen version of "That 70's Show"
- Netmindstorm, on 01/29/2009, -0/+9Well at least they are in the free and clear now: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/30660
- RodBorn, on 01/29/2009, -8/+16Dear Hollywood,
It's official, you have no soul or creative ideas anymore.

4EvaPirateBayBoy - LongShlong, on 01/29/2009, -4/+11Who else thinks Murdock should be played by Jim Carrey?
- sadisticmind, on 01/29/2009, -0/+7i must agree. that is really scrapping the bottom of the barrol when they are filming an A-Team movie. whats next? The Love Boat movie?
- inactive, on 01/29/2009, -0/+7Or injured when their car/truck/tank rolls over after hitting some garbage cans.
- PGPirate, on 01/29/2009, -0/+6I smell a MacGyver movie coming up.....:(
- peruvianidol, on 01/29/2009, -0/+6And instead of The A-Team, they can call it Weekend at Bernie Mac's.
- PhillyOC, on 01/29/2009, -0/+6I think Clooney would be a great Hannibal. Perhaps I just can't see Bruce Willis with a big old cigar saying "I love it when a plan comes together."
- inactive, on 01/29/2009, -2/+8can't wait - just look at how awesome Starsky & Hutch was.
/s
leave our 80's shows alone - you're ***** with our memories.
if they touch Knight Rider I'll... oh wait. - inactive, on 01/29/2009, -0/+6BRILLIANT!
- doctordbx, on 01/29/2009, -0/+5I hope I never see Jim Carrey on the silver screen ever again.
Please god, please, let him not ***** up yet another character from my child hood. - DCstewieG, on 01/29/2009, -2/+73 full seasons on Hulu:
http://www.hulu.com/the-a-team - backintheday, on 01/29/2009, -2/+7My cast recomendations:
Hannibal-George Clooney (Oceans 11 was great)
B.A.- Kimbo Slice (Looks close to Mr. T and mean as hell)
Murdock- Jim Carey (Nuff said)
Face-Brad Pitt (Can play a pretty boy con man, ie Oceans 11)
Just my two cents, let me know what you think. - zuiquan, on 01/29/2009, -1/+6What?
- sdellboy, on 01/29/2009, -6/+11I think I just wet myself in excitement...
- minnepinne, on 01/29/2009, -0/+5I dont know if I would go so far as to call Bruce Willis and Woody Harrison cheap.
- FearlessFreep, on 01/29/2009, -1/+6"long-awaited big-screen version"
long-awaited by who?
Hey I loved the show when I was a kid too but was anybody really crying out for this? - venicerocco, on 01/29/2009, -0/+5George Clooney - Hannibal
Matt Damon - Face
Brad Pitt - Murdoch
Bernie Mac - B.A.
Julia Roberts - Amy
(wait - haven't I seen that lineup before?) - TheSeeker11, on 01/29/2009, -0/+5Mr T. once pitied a fool so hard, he burst into flames.
- DocFunBags, on 01/29/2009, -0/+5Pitying fools has never been "out" fool!!
- wolfing, on 01/29/2009, -0/+5so how's that any worse than any other Hollywood movie nowadays?
- flyingspatula, on 01/29/2009, -2/+6I pity the fool that doesn't want to see this movie
- rossnyc, on 01/29/2009, -1/+5Bruce Willis - Hannibal
Kimbo Slice - Mr. T
Jim Carey - Murdock
Josh Duhamel - Face - twiztidsinz, on 01/29/2009, -1/+5I know... Lord of the Rings trilogy sucked, right?
- AmyVernon, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4That actually would be a good cast. I agree that Ving Rhames might be better, but Ice Cube would be perfectly adequate. Matt Damon also could be the Faceman, perhaps...
- Ilikebikes, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4I wish the plan to make this movie had NOT come together.
- NuclearTomorrow, on 01/29/2009, -1/+5Isn't anything from the 80's sacred? Hollywood needs to come up with something new, instead of bastardizing all the classics us 80's kids grew up to. The kids these days get a bunch of regurgitated crap, and I wonder where all the great ideas have gone?
- skoles, on 01/29/2009, -3/+7Does the article mention what kind of "team" film he'll be directing?
- doctordbx, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4You sir are a genius!
- venicerocco, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4Remember - it's about money. If there wasn't a demand, it wouldn't get made. It's partly the audiences fault too.
- david4041, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4Uh . . . money?
- JackSrenton, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4Massive fail for saying its directed by Ridley Scott in the headline, and then in the synopsis it says "produced by Blade Runner director Ridley Scott" jeez.
BTW its being directed by Joe Carnahan, a local boy in my hometown. Narc was AWESOME and Smoking Aces was pretty cool until the terrible ending, so we shall see! - dheaddy, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4TREAT YOUR MOTHER RIGHT
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7_rBidCkJxo - bookon, on 01/29/2009, -1/+5Buried becuse headline is FULL OF *****.
- shadowman99, on 01/29/2009, -0/+4Ridley Scott - How did you go from Alien and Blade Runner to this?
Late last year he was attached to a film version of the board game "Monopoly".
Even Uwe Boll is looking at this saying "that's a bad idea". -
