"no no no no no no no no no" - sterntastic223, on 05/23/2008, -20/+89He's a little bitch. End of story.
- YME1280, on 05/23/2008, -1/+64Hopefully there will be some cheesy love scene in this movie going on, when all of a sudden Short Round (all grown up) barges in and says to Harrison Ford "No time for love, Doctor Jones". That would make my year!
- Cfahooligan, on 05/23/2008, -22/+82Maybe it's because he is an incredibly cocky little ***** head. Ever see the making of The Battle Of Shaker Heights? The Project Greenlight flick. He was a total prick on that. And he plays the exact same role in every movie. Constantine, Transformers, Disturbia, I, Robot...... He is an it kid in Hollywood but has zero range.
- mdoom, on 05/23/2008, -3/+42hmmm he cant fill Indiana Jones shoes because of an error establishing a database connection?
I suppose...Harrison Ford wouldn't let that happen - MuntrealCanada, on 05/23/2008, -1/+351 reason why I can't read the article - it's down.

The only emotion he can evoke is generic dumbfound confusion. - vicsvenge, on 05/23/2008, -1/+33I'm not gonna lie for the most part LeBeouf's performances are cookie cutter parts and that he for the most part does the same thing each movie (see the youtube mash up of the numerous situations in which he can say no). If anyone doubts his acting skills they should check out "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints." While it's certainly not the best movie in the world LeBeouf certainly does play the part well and it's not a cookie cutter role. He is actually a deep character in that movie.
All the dissing is a little undeserved other than that he is clearly cashing in on his appeal of being an average looking person, of average build etc. Most actors in the prime of their career have a set role. Hell through the nineties Ford played standard ass action parts. He's an old guy with a family and a bunch of people are trying to kill him. He fit the part, did well, and banked. Can't blame him for that.
PS I didn't read the article since apparently digg is crushing every server on earth tonight. - rsm5068, on 05/23/2008, -5/+37there need be only 1 reason: because he is shia labeouf.
- h4mx0r, on 05/23/2008, -0/+25The "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!" role?
- humboldt79, on 05/23/2008, -0/+22Hey, I would like my Indy with Heavy on the mystic, but really really light on the sci fi., to go please. Oh OH! by the way go really easy on the CGI.
- ChristophyBrown, on 05/23/2008, -12/+32He was fine in Indiana Jones, just fine. Indy 4 ***** rocked and ***** it, Harrison Ford is going to live forever so he wont need to fill his shoes.
- SomethingEpic, on 05/23/2008, -2/+20He wasn't in High School Musical.
- Marijuana, on 05/23/2008, -4/+21When did we start hating Shia Labeouf? Fine...I guess--***** Shia Labeouf.

- Tracon, on 05/23/2008, -1/+15Shia is George Costanza. Just wait for it. Mark my words he is George Costanza.

- jontalisman, on 05/23/2008, -7/+19How could Lucas not have foreseen the She-a backfire? Oh wait, he did make Howard The Duck, didn't he?

- twiztidsinz, on 05/23/2008, -1/+13why does no one like Howard the Duck??
It was a great flick. :-/ - rocko_stazetti, on 05/23/2008, -0/+12No one can replace short round!
- mazerrackham, on 05/23/2008, -1/+13I'm sure he'll soon find himself out of work like all the other ill-tempered and talentless actors.
HAHAHAHA...ahhhh. But seriously, he's going to be a squillionaire - fearofsociety, on 05/23/2008, -0/+11Ahhh....finally. The Shia Labeouf hate thread I've been waiting for.
- xodex, on 05/23/2008, -2/+11Day one?
- andswan, on 05/23/2008, -14/+23he actually wasn't that bad. in fact, I would go as far as saying he was better than Ford in this film. The fact is this script was written by too many people, and it failed at delivering a story that was interesting, or original. LeBeouf's character was more engaging than Ford, and I wouldn't mind seeing a revamp of the series along the lines of Batman Begins, and LeBouf, although needing an ego reduction, wouldn't be the worst casting choice.
- fungke, on 05/23/2008, -0/+9Wasn't he the comedy relief? No danger there then. Seriously, I don't think they could base a film completely around his 'character'. He just hasn't got the charisma or swagger of Harrison Ford.
- ChileanGoD, on 05/23/2008, -0/+9Reason 13: ...COOOOMBO BREA...."NOOO! no no no no no no!"
- flipcritic, on 05/23/2008, -3/+12What a haters parade. Let's all pour vitriol on Shia because somebody compared him to Harrison Ford. Whatever happened to perspective?
- iamdan1, on 05/23/2008, -15/+23He can't act. All he does is look constipated and make stupid noises while getting his ass saved by real actors and actresses.
- bosssmiley, on 05/23/2008, -1/+9"he actually wasn't that bad. in fact, I would go as far as saying he was better than Ford in this film"
Burn the witch! - antdude, on 05/23/2008, -0/+8Mirror? Coral, Google Cache, and DuggMirror failed. :(
- rwald, on 05/23/2008, -1/+9Having seen the movie...well, his character is an incredibly cocky little ***** head. So, at least casting did their job. Whether you'd want such a character in a movie is another question.
- ReDoEr, on 05/23/2008, -1/+8wow. If he got pregnant, he'd be REALLY famous.

I've never seen any movie with him in it. Indy 4 will be the first.

- Gir53457, on 05/23/2008, -5/+12Am I the only person here who went to go see the movie and had a great time without nit picking the actors?
- iKomplex, on 05/23/2008, -0/+6Don't worry, just ignore the crowd. Hypocrisy is very much understated here.
- ReDoEr, on 05/23/2008, -0/+6I saw it, enjoyed it, and thought he did a pretty good job.
- Strungout, on 05/23/2008, -3/+9The only reason Shia Labeouf can't fill the shoes of Indiana Jones is because Indy is Harrison ***** Ford!
also Shia is effeminate - UtopiaInTheSky, on 05/23/2008, -1/+7http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IXCK1EyP4s

- funk13, on 05/23/2008, -0/+5short round has to be at least 35 now. man how the years pass.
- shondell, on 05/23/2008, -3/+8I had my doubts before watching Jones, but i was satisfied with Shia's performance. He wasn't overwhelming in his role and he didn't take away any of the thunder from the true hero, Indiana Jones.
But that's just my opinion okay? - Gir53457, on 05/23/2008, -2/+7He's a Disney Chanel actor who made it through his career without a failed pop music shtick or pregnancy. Now he's just becoming a real actor.
- AshamedAmerican, on 05/23/2008, -6/+11I just now got back from seeing the film (a regrettably "meh" film), and even though I knew it was coming the entire film, I almost vomited when Shia picks up Indy's hat and goes to put it on.
